I am a business owner and I do a lot of videos and when I broke a tooth I immediately called my dentist Dr Creech. I went in and was told 2 options, a bridge or an implant. I had done an implant with them few years back everything went great. I am sitting in the chair with Novocaine shots and half out of it so when they said $2200 for an implant I agreed even though its a lot of money. Instead of scheduling me another day, this was valentines day they immediately proceeded to take my tooth out which I found odd that it happened so fast. I had paid $1000 at my last visit and when I walk in today to only get a flapper fake tooth, because I was told the implant could take months they wanted another $1200, I immediately said why would I pay you for the whole thing when it takes several months. The secretary proceeded to tell me they are done, this wasn't including the implant, this was just a tooth extraction and bone graft. WHY ON EARTH would I agreed to only have a front tooth removed with no implant, when I asked for an implant? I even mentioned I had commercials I had to do and wanted the implant done. I was the one that asked for a flapper tooth because I didn't want to wait a few months they told me it would take to do the whole implant. So now I am out $1000 and have my tooth removed and I don't even trust this company. I would have NEVER agreed to $2200 to be left like this, why would you not have quoted me the whole thing? I had called and got quote for tooth removal and implant $2500-$3000. You were going to charge me another $1500 for the implant. $4000 for one tooth, please run from this company!

I am not a fan of such business practices and do not recommend this dentist. A patient should always have the choice to either consent or decline service in these situations.

I moved to St Pete from Boston, changed insurance plans, and had 2022 benefits to use before the end of the year. I had a crown that had been repaired several times by different dentists but was still trapping food. Dr. Letteri replaced the crown. I went out of my way to have the work done in 2022 for insurance benefits, having the final visit in late December.. The crown continued to trap food. I called and was told that Dr. Letteri was no longer in the practice, so I saw Dr. Schroder. I found him arrogant and condescending: He's a tall guy, and I'm short, and he stood over me looking down and talking down to me, and also barraged me with information while I was laying on my back in the chair. I felt like he was trying to make me feel subservient, a Beta Male to his Alpha. I was concerned that the food trapping would cause more decay and problems in the future. He grudgingly said he'd replace the crown, but he didn't think it would make a difference. He showed me on the x-rays how there wasn't much to be done. After deigning to answer my questions about my teeth and their health, he finally explained that the teeth in the area where the food traps all have crowns, not subject to decay. That is, if he was being honest and trustworthy, which I doubt. I decided not to let him replace the crown, because I felt so uncomfortable with how he talked down to me. I didn't want to have him work on my mouth. To make matters worse: my insurance company denied my claim. I contacted the office manager, who had been very helpful when I started with the practice, confirming my insurance and assuring me that the work would be covered. She was also aware that I was trying to use my 2022 benefits, then return in 2023 to use benefits from that year. I emailed her with extensive details, didn't hear from her so I followed up and was told that she was no longer with the practice. Another woman took over. I spent hours emailing her and Aetna, no progress. Then we did a conference call with my insurance company, wasting another hour and a half of my life. The insurance rep determined that my benefits had been maxed out for 2023--which was impossible. She investigated further and found that Bay Cosmetic Dentistry had entered and billed multiple times for the same claims, and Bay finally sent me a refund check. Bay Cosmetic Dentistry managed to receive multiple payments for money that I laid to them, so my claims were denied, Bay told me I was wrong, I spent countless hours emailing them and calling Aetna and finally the Aetna rep caught Bay's deception. Bay Cosmetic Dentistry made no offer to make good on any of this. I submitted a complaint to Aetna and to the Dental Board, then had Bay send me my dental records and found another dentist. Buyer Beware.
