Meds usually cost under $20.00, rang up and said $ 70.00 an change. I said, WHOA,better ck. that again. He did....$19.61. He said, he didn't run thru ins. I recently visited the pharmacy right when they reopened after break, and there were already a few other folks waiting to hop into a line. The team was HUSTLING, moving with a lot of urgency. They handled the rush with grace, making a point to acknowledge me and assure me they'd be with me soon, and were super pleasant in our interactions even though I'm sure they were a scosche stressed. Fast forward to a year later. They have recently finished making some changes to the parking lot so it's easier to get in and out (and more changes are still in the works it seems) and they have completely renovated the dine in area of the store. Instead of going in and feeling cramped while ordering a sandwich and having very little options for hot food, Wegmans completely shifted the store around and installed a much bigger prepared foods area. This is a major win for those of us who work in the area and want to have choices for a lunch on the go. Each day you can now select from an expanded sushi bar, sandwich station, pizza, hot foods bar, or the robust salad bar. I feel like I could come here each work day and get a great meal. There is a lot of gushing about Wegmans around here, and it is not unwarranted. The James St store does not get 5 stars, as others have mentioned it's a bit smaller than the others and doesn't have quite the space or selection, but it is still Wegmans, and they have worked hard to make it better.

I'm only 54, but disabled, & they've been very patient with me & my fumbling arthritis-gnarled hands as I count out my copays; my partner is 82 & has COPD & must cart breathing equipment with him; he says that in C&J he does NOT get that automatic eye-roll of impatience that too many chain pharmacies show toward the aged. Instead, this adorable pharmacy gives off a very gentle, welcoming, understanding vibe toward our elders. People who run other stores could learn from their staff! And the store often sells charming hand-crafted goods not available elsewhere, of good quality for a small price. I've bought keychains & bracelets both as gifts & for myself. I've seen many happy Senior Citizens walk out their door. I should add that they carry mobility supplies as well, such as cane tips. Those can be hard to find. They have other medical supplies not generally found at drug stores. In short, they're a proper pharmacy. Most drug stores today seem to sell everything BUT that type of thing. Overall, highly recommended.
