We were greeted promptly by a server as we entered the bar area, which the tables had been cleared from the floor. He indicated a row of available high tops , and quickly gave us a menu, a rundown of the happy hour specials, and took our drink order. throughout our time there he checked in on us frequently. his service was wonderful. The food was fairly good, my club sandwich was fresh, stacked and came with a curly version of steak fries, perfectly cooked. the shrimp appetizer was well sauced, and a fairly good deal the night we came it was line dancing nite, there was a lively crowd, beginners to experts, and it seemed very inviting. the range of ages participating went from young to senior. it was nice to see the mix. The bathrooms are single user, and on that night they were very dirty, papers on the floor. other elements of the building also look a bit worn, but not down to "dive bar" levels. We went here mainly for the arcade. For $20, you get about 100 credits which is fairly generous since there's a limited selection of games. Games that give you more tickets cost a little bit more in credits but on average it's probably around 5-6 credits per game. Unfortunately when we were there some of the machines were down and some that weren't supposed to be down were malfunctioning with pieces to the game not entirely working or simply taking credits from your card but not letting you play so be wary of those. Other than that, the exchangeable prizes are probably one of the better ones I've seen among all the arcades I've been to. I was able to get a lava lamp out of a few games and I love my lava lamp. Uptown Alley also has a sports bar and a bowling alley. Though my husband and I didn't really get to try them, they are there if you don't wanna do arcade but want to drink and/or maybe bowl with your friends. It's also situated in the mall so you can walk around the mall if you want. It stays open late even after the rest of the mall closes! read more

Went here for a holiday party. Overall this place was pretty cool. It's located at/next to Manassas Mall and free parking is conveniently located out front. Lots of bowling lanes, pool tables, an arcade, and at least two bars. I tried the food but it was catering so I'm not sure if it was the normal menu. The food was pretty decent but not great. Me and my friend came on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy but steady just like I like. Busy but still enough space to find 2 seats! We sat at the bar. I got a white sangria and the plant based "chicken" sandwich with fries! It was good, especially the fries! I enjoyed the barbecue sauce as well! Brought a van full of teen boys today to use the Summer Pass which is totally worth the price which includes bowling, unlimited laser tag and unlimited non-ticket arcade games!! The boys loved the pizza (I mean what teenage boy doesn't love pizza!!!!?) The waitress was very nice and continued to check on the boys throughout our time! Loved the pop music throughout the restaurant and bowling area. Bring napkins with you to the bathrooms, they are doing construction in the girls bathroom and there is dust literally everywhere and no toilet paper in any of the stalls! Between trying to find someone to help at the front counter to set the lane correctly, and then finding a server and the kitchen getting the food out we barely got into our second game before the hour was up. In that hour the kitchen was completely unable to get our order out. They sent us a burnt pizza and brown guac. Then we waited another 30 minutes for 1 burger and 2 chicken sandwiches. They explained to us that they were too busy prepping for tonight. So it's nice they told us we weren't as important as their parties later. We just had our sons 9th birthday at Uptoown Alley and while the pizza was fantastic (as always) and they kept the drinks topped of the party host if you can call her that was awful. She was extremely rude to the point our guests were asking us about why she awas acting that way toward us. We had not asked anything of her but every interaction was miserable and really ruined the tone of the party for us and our adult guests who were seeing how she was acting. To that end I would highly recommend not booking a party, it would be better to just show up with a group and bowl/eat than deal with someone like her. read more

It's not Dave and Busters, but perhaps it's the Manassas Mall one. Have been here several times, as my son enjoys these types of places. As usual he has figured out how to win on the rigged claw machines. They have a fair amount of games, although not as many as D&B's. Lots of kids everywhere will like this place. I would lose my mind, working the counter where kids redeem their tickets won on cards. Props to these employees. A friendly place. I must say it's a little less expensive. As a family guy and single dad on a budget, glad my son had a great time. There is a bowling alley, but this can get quite busy. The bright lights and loud noises can be frustrating, but this is what us parents must contend with. It works as a fun diversion, and if in the area, it could be a good option. read more

Me and a friend came looking for a bar but was surprised to see a bowling alley and arcade inside. We decided to bowl and drink but got hungry and ordered nachos with chicken and a pepperoni pizza. I wasn't expecting food to be great, but it also wasn't that bad being that it was bowling alley food. The pizza was pretty good which surprised me, the nachos were ok I just didn't really like whatever cheese was put on it. Service was good, the waitress was nice however she somewhat kind of rushed me to pay the tab while we were in the middle of bowling. I am on the border with a one star and two star. No one seats you so I went to the bar. I was told I can sit anywhere. Used the digital menu and ordered and paid. Left %20 tip as the app asks you before you check out. The food was very greasy but not terrible. The soup was marinara sauce with bacon bits added. (Not great). Tater tots were too crispy and overcooked. Very hard to eat. Service is what did this review in. Both the food and beer was dropped off without a word. Asked for a glass of water twice and didn't get it even after she acknowledged twice. The wait wasn't horrendous but it was long, for my subsequent needs I just got up and went to the bar. I don't want to tip many dollars to a waitress who picks my food up and walks it 30 feet and drops it without a word without asking if I need anything. This is my third time there. They were thoughtful enough to make sure we had a Children's bowling ball and the lady guessed our shoe size off the bat! We ordered drinks and food which were salty slightly on the steak soft tacos we got, but they were still good. The chips with the nachos were still not crispy due to possibly short fry times. Absolutely terrible service across the board. Paid for an hour to play and immediately ordered food off their QR code site. After 45min, had to pass a table of employees eating rather than working, go to the bar, and ask for an update on my order. They pulled up my order, said "we aren't neglecting you, the order just hasn't been fully processed yet, but should take 10-15min"....and it took another 25min. At this point, we wanted another hour of bowling to go with our food. We then went up to the front, saw no one at the front desk, but five customers waiting in line for service. After going back five minutes later, someone finally showed at the desk to charge us for another hour. Not a single person tried to rectify the order or make sure we were taken care of, and the bowling devices themselves were freezing up constantly. The worst part was that aside from three employees, the rest of the staff were sitting at a table eating the entire time, ignoring the guests. Do not give this establishment your money. One of my favorite experiences when I lived in Richmond was coming out to an Uptown Alley location nearby and enjoying all the great offerings they had, so I had high hopes for my visit here. Sadly, it just didn't turn out that way. My review is only for the bar, as our experience there was so unfortunate that we decided not to bowl (not that we could have anyway with the line out the door for bowling spots). We went fifteen minutes before being acknowledged, which was surprising considering we were sitting at the actual central bar and the bartender passed by us a number of times without making eye contact. When we did get attention and put in an order, that was the last we saw of her for quite some time, as it was the manager who ended up bringing our food and drinks. We saw him bussing tables as well, which makes me wonder just how badly off they were in terms of staffing. Here's the catch, though: just say hi and apologize for it taking so long due to short staffing and someone will be by. Most people can understand that, and after years in food service myself I can DEFINITELY understand the struggle. However, avoiding customers, cussing about the situation, and just generally being unpleasant absolutely destroys my ability to be sympathetic. When the bartender finally came around again, we got the check, paid, and left. Despite all the delays in service, receiving drinks, getting our food, and every other step of the process, there wasn't a single half-hearted apology or offer to comp us something from the check. If they wanted us back, they had a funny way of showing it. The food and drinks were okay but certainly not worth the price or wait, and the design/volume of the area made it hard to hear each other there. At least they had plenty of parking outside. Glass 10% full? Overall: 2.0 stars ---- Pros: - They get a score boost because the bowling looks really fun, which we would have enjoyed if the lines weren't an hour long and the bar experience had gone better. - The beer and food were okay (not great). - Plenty of easy parking in the lot outside. Cons: - The bowling staff couldn't handle the line, the manager couldn't handle the overflow work, and the bartender couldn't handle... well... anything. - High metal ceilings don't help the acoustics much in a place like this. - You need a better system for bowling check-in if your in-person line is out the door. It's 2021, make your app do the heavy lifting for you. - Sometimes a quick apology or small comp is enough to convince someone to return and give things another try some other day. Hard to be sympathetic when staff are just being unpleasant about it all. If I learned one thing in food service, it's that when things go wrong, you have to do the best you can with what you've got and hope people recognize that you're putting in the effort. read more

the bowling alley is great! a really good price and lots of fun customizable options. HOWEVER, the food service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. Our server was super nice and when we initially ordered drinks and appetizers the service was prompt and everything was good. When it came time to order a pizza and some desserts, everything went downhill. We were told desserts would have a longer wait, roughly 20 minutes which we agreed to. Approximately 50 minutes after placing the order, the server told us the kitchen was backed-up which we understood, since it was busy. Finally, AN HOUR AND A HALF after ordering, we received our food. at that point, we asked to take it to go because they were now closing. Every single order was either wrong or the description on the menu was misleading. The banana brulee was not bruleed (something our server warned us about which was fine but also how do you not have the blow torch that makes it a brulee?) and it was missing both the ice cream and caramel sauce it was advertised as having. The brownies were both missing whipped cream and caramel sauce that again were advertised. When we brought these mistakes to our server's attention, she told us that the brownies did not come with whipped cream or caramel sauce despite the fact that they were included in the menu description of the item. She also told us she would give us the missing ice cream and would give us a discount.This ended up meaning she took a mere $5 off of a $63 bill. And we STILL did not receive our ice cream. Never once did a manager come over and speak to us about the problems we had and they never offered to comp anything off of the bill. Overall, the bowling experience was great but I would never order food from here again and I would tell everyone who comes here to avoid it as well. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

First, and this really upsets me... I had to pay and tip when ordering my meal from the the scan thing on the table. How would I possibly know what level of service I will get? What is the incentive of the staff to perform? I ordered food and a bucket of beer. I see the bartender lounging around, casually serving the occasional customer. It wasn't busy at the bar. 20 minutes later, we finally had to go ask for the bucket of beer. Food comes out, and it's not ours. Food comes out again and it's not ours. We did finally get our food, but now I feel like I over tipped. When we first got there we got on the list for bowling. Wait time was 30-40 minutes. An hour later we checked back in and we're told another 30-40 minutes. 4 hours later we get a text that our lane is ready. Since we couldn't bowl, we played games, but half are broken. We don't bother with laser tag because half the guns don't work. No toilet paper in the women's room, no soap in the men's. The place is just terrible. read more

Uptown Alley is located at the side of the Manassas Mall. Although it is attached to the mall it also has its own private entrance. In addition to bowling, there's a video game arcade and a two story laser tag area. The alley also has its own restaurant and bar area. We'd been to this bowling alley before for a birthday party and decided to go again this Saturday since we had a Christmas gift card. We arrived about noon and were greeted promptly and politely. Unfortunately, it seems to have been a particularly busy day. We were informed that there were a couple of birthday parties in progress and that the wait for a lane would be about an hour. Since we were at the mall, we decided to walk around and do some shopping while we waited. I gave the girl my cell number and was informed that I would be texted as soon as they were ready for us and if I did not respond to the text would also be called. A nice system. The text also had a link embedded that allowed tracking of wait time and showed how many groups are ahead of you waiting. So we set out to explore the mall. Nearing the hour mark I rechecked the link... only to find that there were still the same number of groups in front of us. The wait times had changed, so I knew it had updated. Very disconcerting. We determined to continue waiting and started wending our way back towards the bowling alley, certain that we would be paged momentarily. A half hour later and we were still waiting. Since we were now 20 minutes past our estimated wait time, the kids were restless and bored and we'd run out of things to do in the mall. We gave it 10 more minutes and then opted to give up and leave. On the way home we finally received a text. A full 45 minutes past the estimated wait time. I was not impressed. My best advice is, if you're going to this bowling alley on a weekend go early or call ahead and find out wait times. Very disappointed. read more

Eh. Majority of staff is not friendly and the lack of service/quality for what you are paying while here is not worth it. We sat down at our booth/lane and NOT one server came over to ask us if we would like a drink. We had to order from the bar and it wasted 15 mins of our lane time - shouldn't be like that here. *Majority of the bowling balls that we used had chips on the edges of the finger slots which led to my thumb getting scratched making it painful to bowl. However, we did like the pool room area and the bartender we had was very friendly. Overall - not worth it. Haven't tried the food and don't plan on it. May come here once a year if I'm desperate for a change. read more
