I'm surprised this shoe passed inspection. Be sure to examine all items closely prior to purchase.

Added a photo of a damaged shoe I saw for sale. I'm surprised this passed the initial inspection.

I appreciate being able to declutter my closet from a few items I needed to get rid of today. Uptown even offers to donate your items to charities when they can't purchase them. The option to keep it for charity is helpful, but I preferred to select my charity. My clothes had depreciated value too much, and many items were given back to me. Judging by what was kept that I got cash for, Uptown Cheapskate seems to prefer recent (within a year released) items and top-brand items. They took Express, Macy's INC, and Kelly & Katie branded shoes. I could get cash for a few items, but I feel this was not worth my time. I'm using part of it on gas, and I can't get my time back. On the time spectrum, the turnaround was still pretty quick, but for the payout, I'm fine with the standard tax deduction for the annual charity I always donate. Overall the employee who greeted me and assisted me was kind, and there was a really quick turnaround in letting me know what could be purchased. The store seems organized and well-lit, and the fitting rooms are super cute. I didn't buy anything. The prices here aligned with the prices found at the Ross store. Hopefully, that gives you an idea of how much items cost. I saw a few designer shoes there that were expensive.

The staff is so rude and unfriendly. I would give it 0 stars if I could. They also pay less than other consignment stores.

It's easily the size of 4 Platos Closets put together and has a lot of upscale brands ie; BCBG, Michael Kors, Coach, Free People, etc.

It's more like a carefully zoned outdoor entertainment center. Almost a "riverwalk" or "town center" that I've seen in other places. Surface streets cross through Cameron Village but there's lots of parking and you can easily miss parts of it because it's just a large retail and dining center. Jewelry, coffee, nails, clothing, sporting goods, medical professionals, all sorts of stuff here. I enjoyed my time and will be back. [Review 11604 overall, 1384 of 2019.]

Best described as a cross between the East Village of NYC and south shore of Long Island. A bunch of restaurants and non- commercial shopping all jumbled into an outdoor shopping / dining Mecca. Cameron is best to visit on a gorgeous day. There are miles of stores and quaint restaurants. I visited here during lunch and had a hard time finding the Flying Biscuit. It's located across from Wells Fargo ( the bandits of the banking world). They have quite a lot of furniture, home decor and posh boutiques for women. Today I made the biggest mistake of dining at Which Wich. Terrible sandwich place. There were so many other great restaurants that lined this area. Check it out tourists.

When he returned he said, "It's REALLY good you didn't come with me into the store!" I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.

So I'm being a little selfish, yes, but here goes. I went to visit my daughters in college last month. Each of them have a new apartment that needs furnishing. They had specific things they were looking for and we had a limited amount of time. So I checked Yelp, mapped out all the thrift stores nearby, and we went looking. We ended up lastly at all things thrift. Walked in. It's arranged nicely. It smells good. If you're a thrift store shopper you know what I mean. What I'm assuming is a husband and wife team working there were very friendly and helpful. We ended up finding a chair and ottoman that we weren't looking for. But as soon as I sat in it, I realized one of my daughters needed to have it. The price was amazing, too low if you're asking me. And it wouldn't fit in my daughters car so we had a situation. We were also on a time crunch. The owner of the business offered to deliver it for us within the hour for a small fee, and we jumped on it and she was so kind and helpful. There was a couple that came in looking to sell some things on consignment. That is not what all things thrift does. They had some incredible deals and some awesome pieces. Plenty of parking out front.
