We were searching for a new/different breakfast place. We saw Uptown Eats got five stars and it was biking distance from our home. So off we went on the bikes. There was a line when we arrived however it moved quickly and the staff was gracious and organized. We both ordered the two eggs and a biscuit meal with bacon and grits and it was DELICIOUS. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The fruit on the side was hand cut and fresh. Grits we're hot and full of flavor. Coffee was freshly brewed and hot. How can we not come back!! read more

That signature iced coffee- soooo freaking good. I've been trying iced coffee drinks around town and there's a lot of decent but not great cold brews etc out there. This is perfect as it is- lightly sweetened, smooth and delicious. I don't remember exactly whats in it besides coconut cream but yea. I highly highly recommend. What a great breakfast spot! We wandered over after working out and weee not disappointed. They have a ton of healthy eating options for breakfast. We went with the Greens and Things, Frittata of the day, jalapeño cheddar scone and a coconut cookie to finish....everything was delicious! The greens bowl was packed with veggies - fresh baby spinach, collards, pico, and avocado- so light and not overfilling at all...the scone went nicely! There was some heat from the jalapeños but not overwhelmingly so. The frittata was perfection - with asparagus, cheese and scallions. Everyone we encountered was super friendly - the girl who took our order was helpful with questions. They have a nice outdoor area which is where we sat. Oh - and the coffee was really good! Just strong enough to pack a punch, but not overpowering or too strong. Since we were dining there we got mugs and were able to grab a refill which was perfect to pair with the cookie at the end of our meal. I went here looking for a decent gluten free, egg free breakfast. This is a very small place with outside seating. It's first come first serve on seats and you order at the counter. It felt a little cramped but was a cute little place. I was so impressed with this avocado smash. I added salmon to it and had them remove the salsa (due to pineapple sensitivity) and it was so incredibly delicious! The bread was perfectly grilled and the aioli sauce was vegan (so no eggs) which was refreshing because so many sauces have eggs in it. The cook felt bad bc I removed items and brought me a small order of Gouda grits, which was super nice of her. I also had an iced mocha with oat milk. It was very sweet but decent. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone as a good gluten free place if you don't have a group. read more

Trendy Café with Very Good Food It was a rainy Saturday morning and the place was busy. No one could use the outdoor tables, so it was crowded inside. Nevertheless, things moved along quickly and we got our order in and got a table. The staff members were all very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The coffee was very good. For food a Jam-on-It Sandwich which was quite nice. We also had a berry yogurt bowl. The yogurt was delicious and the fruit and granola on it were great. So, I'm going to start this review with saying Uptown Eats has the BEST biscuits and gravy in Tampa Bay (well they call it a scone and gravy....) We stopped in here recently as it is rather close to the house. They have all of the usual items you would expect at a coffee shop plus a variety of things to eat for breakfast. I had an iced latte and it was pretty tasty. There are a variety of places to get coffee in St. Pete and I could see going back here since it's close. If you drive there, be careful where you park as there is a pole behind a lot of the spots that makes backing out quite difficult. read more

The turnover was quite nice (also quite salty) with a hefty amount of chorizo and light on the potato, although wasn't totally over the moon about either. They also have day old pastry options at a discounted price, which Is a nice touch. -Ambiance- A chill, coffee shop vibe with friendly staff and owner that are eager to please. -Accessibility - There are decent parking options with a small lot in back & usually street parking. -Outdoor seating- Lots of outdoor seating, which is quite shaded. I genuinely like this place... however there is a single staff person here with longer hair and tattoos on a regular basis that is so rude and difficult to listen too.. on a regular basis she pushes past people waiting in a line out the door (when theres another accessible door). She catches an attitude if you ask anything specific. Just overall poor attitude and ruins the experience to deal with her. HOWEVER the rest of the staff is incredibly kind. The food is delicious. The coffee is the best in st pete (order the signature and trust me). The lunch menu is slightly better options than the breakfast. Scones are subpar. Cookies are better. Pound cakes incredible. Found right along one of the prettiest streets in St. Pete, this spot really surprised me with the quality/freshness of the ingredients. Absolutely nailed my preferred egg runny-ness. When a small menu hits just right and everything looks good! I have been meaning to try Uptown Eats out since they opened under two years ago and finally tried it today. The gluten free chocolate chip cookie was the perfect amount of chewy and checked all the boxes for the perfect cookie. I really liked my plate of the 2 eggs one biscuit plate and the eggs were perfectly cooked with partially cooked yolks and a runny egg. The "Jam on it" Sandwich had a raspberry cracked pepper honey lemon jam which was heavenly. I highly suggest for anyone wanting a great sweet and savory breakfast/brunch sandwich. The staff at UE was amazing and the woman upfront was incredibly accommodating and could literally sell anything to me. The owner Dan was even there and checked in on us and really put his heart into the menu. I will definitely be back and will keep Uptown Eats in mind for future St. Pete trips. I recently gave them another try and the salad was awful. I ordered the steakhouse salad. The steak was like overdone gyro meat and had a very strong old meat flavor (inedible), also there was an unsubstantial portion of lettuce. The potatoes were really good.
