The chicken pot pie is on the menu as their specialty, so I had to try. So glad I did as it didn't disappoint! When it arrived I was amazed at how big it was. This pie is huge! The crust was flakey and really complimented the inside filling of carrots, peas and chicken. The dome crust keeps the heat in and is piping hot! Bring your appetite as it's very filling. Based on yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try, even though there were several restaurants nearby. Based on suggestion from my server, Hannah, i ordered carnitas tacos ($17) for lunch. Also went with a cup of clam chowder ($6.50) and then for dessert i tried the berry shortcake ($13). The chowder was good and I would order that again. However the tacos were served lukewarm with black beans and rice. Three full size tacos was way too much for me to eat and still have dessert so I only ate two. The shortcake was a big disappointment as the biscuit was too dry and needed some extra berry juice for moisture. Take note that they add 5 cents per dollar as "scratch" for the kitchen. So lunch was $47 plus tip! Overall, the service was good. Ambiance was nice. The food was okay but no compelling reason to come back. read more

My husband and I were looking to do date night and came across this restaurant while looking up potential places to eat at last night and we're so glad we gave this place a shot! The restaurant had a great atmosphere to it, our waitress Heidi was really nice and patient with us since it was our first time, and the food was amazing. We were seated immediately and given an opportunity to choose where we'd like to sit. As we explored the menu, Heidi was very informative and helped us with deciding what we'd like to eat. My husband and I shared the braised pork poutine which was so good; the fries came with so much pork and it had just the right amount of seasoning. I ordered the Alaskan Cod tacos which were HUMONGOUS and my husband created his own burger with a beast patty (made with bison, elk, wagyu beef, and wild boar -- so flavorful). Our meals were very generous on portion size and incredibly tasty. Something that caught us off guard was their "scratch kitchen" fee that they'll tack onto your bill (they disclose this at the bottom of their menu, I meant to read more about it but got distracted and didn't remember it until it was time to pay). It only added $5 more to our bill, my husband shrugged it off and left it as is, but if this is something you wouldn't want to pay into there is an option to opt out! Despite the extra fee and tight street parking, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out! We'd love to return here again in the future! read more

Awesome place to eat and hang out, for review purposes it was pretty loud. But we don't mind that, lots of hustle and bustle in here also lets us know it's a great place! I loved that this place was open to customizing their menu for me. I was following a diet when I ate here and there weren't many vegetarian dishes that satisfied my diet, however they were able to serve the burrito as a bowl and it was absolutely fire! I looked at the menu on the outside window and saw a couple of interesting things, so I went in, not knowing what to expect. First I order a cup of the clam chowder. What can I say? I bought the beast burger. 25% of 4 different beast animals in 1 burger. The burger was a beautiful delicious taste. It is also part of the create your own burger so you can put whatever you like on it. It was definitely delectable. The service. Was one of the best and kindest/sincere services I have received from a place. The server was both poised and patient and always ready and around when he was needed. The wait for food and drinks had nothing to be desired. I have no complaints in the slightest. Best of all they had huckleberry lemon drops that although the first sip may be a little strong. The rest flows so delicately on your tastebuds making you want much more. The ambiance was definitely a full filled place, but I am not surprised by how popular this place seems to be. Parking may be a hard thing to find. But it is definitely a place I want to return to. Sometimes a restaurant goes above and beyond - and when that happens a review is called for! The 6 of us all found our entrees to be delicious. The Brussel Sprout appetizer was outstanding - crunchy, slightly sweet, sprouts at their best. The Asian chicken salad was beautifully served and the dressing tasty. But... the above and beyond... we decided to split some desserts, ordering a blackberry milkshake, cheesecake (wonderful) and banana milkshake. There were fresh flowers on the table. That was nice. But other than that... meh. Food can be hit or miss. My fries are always cold. Except when I order poutine (highly recommend). Decided to drive from the west side to downtown, yet again the next place we picked had a super long wait as well.
