I read reviews and everyone talked about the fact that it was such a safe space and she was so sweet, but I felt the opposite. I felt rushed, I felt like she had a little bit of an attitude with me when I was trying to ask certain questions and I really didn't feel like she cared whether or not she helped me or not. It's been months since I went there and I tried to tell myself that everyone has a bad day but after paying $300 to see her, feeling like that, and going somewhere else for free, I just felt like I needed to say something. She charged me $300 to talk to me about Hair and spew information at me in a very quick way as if she was reciting a thoughtless monologue and then looked at my scalp for a quick minute with a camera microscope. She Then tried to sell me on 6k worth of hair extensions and laser. Then she rushed me out at the end for her next patient. I have had another more in-depth consultation, which gave me so much more peace of mind and it was free. I do not recommend going to see Melinda for hair loss, especially when you are in an emotional state because of it. I would really like a refund. She seems like the type of person though who has such a big ego she wouldn't even care about a bad review.

Better to do it right the first time. I had an FUT procedure here at Bosley San Diego that came out totally uneven. Inexplicably, they just kind of only did one side. Because the healing time is so long, by the time months after that I should have enjoyed my result, instead this error became totally obvious. When you hear him say "don't waste your money and do more grafts", run! They want you to do a second procedure. And they need you to because they can't achieve current standards in density in just one procedure here. Their technique is so behind what can be done in Turkey. First of all, no one does the strip surgery there anymore which is immensely painful. For my revision in Turkey I didn't even need to cut my hair at all. I kept it long. My design was natural. They try to scare you off Turkey here, for selfish reasons. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. I know it sounds scary but it's not. Go to Turkey and save yourself months of waiting for a lackluster result, and a few thousand bucks too.

I have been going to Uptown for over 2 years and I love it! Very clean and nice inside! CeCe is great at what she does and she can do it very well! I love that when my appointment time is all about me! She works on my hair until I'm done! No waiting around for hours to get in the chair. I love that their isn't alot of traffic in the salon. CeCe has alot of knowledge on hair care and for an African American woman that is very good feeling. It is so worth the money and your time! I was a bit apprehensive at first, because I've had bad experiences when going to salons... Mainly because I'm extremely picky =). Nevertheless, I scheduled an appointment with CeCe and could tell right away that she had several years of experience and really knew her stuff! She can do all kinds of styles, but I chose to get a sew-in (weave). It looked very natural and I walked out looking and feeling like a super model! I went to this salon wanting a funky, fresh, new look. I was tired of looking like a young girl, I wanted to look my age, 26. My hair was cut and styled by the talented Cece. I brought a picture of what I wanted and she went to work making the perfect haircut for me. She even added in her own taste by adding highlights! I love it!
