Unfortunately, both concretes were extremely disappointing. They were bland and virtually tasteless, with none of the rich flavor we expected. When I was younger, going to Bobby's was a real treat. The quality and flavor made it worth the visit. Sadly, that wasn't our experience tonight. The product simply didn't live up to the reputation I remember. I rarely leave reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed. I can't help but wonder if others have noticed a decline in quality as well. For us, there are better alternatives available now--even Dairy Queen offers a more satisfying frozen treat experience. I truly wanted to enjoy this visit, but based on tonight's experience, we won't be returning.

That was a BIG mistake, with the HUGE crowd in the courtyard for viewing the solar eclipse, they lost some major money and the crowd was not talking fondly of them. Any way, the staff inside the little Cold Herald building, hustled and did the best they could. They were selling a small menu of food, specialty cocktails and draft beers. I enjoyed a brat, pretzel with beer cheese and both were stadium quality = they satisfied my hunger pains. I also enjoyed the specialty cocktail, Dark Noon Elixir and it was damn good. Later in the day, I had a refreshing, Solar Shady (cute name for the eclipse). I'll close with a shout out to the staff for working extra hard, when it could have been easier if their boss would have just opened Old Herald for this special event.

I came downstairs because I was starving and realized it was after 1pm. I had not eaten anything…read more The hubby said we should go get fish from Culver's. I said only if I don't have to get fish. He said fine. So off to Culver's we went. I got the deluxe double and he got the Walleye sandwich. The young man brought our food to the table and kinda assumed the fish was mine. I said no give me the BEEF!!! My burger looked amazing and tasted just as good. The people watching from our window seat was top notch. To explain the napkin cape my husband is wearing in the photo, I always accuse him of having a hero complex after his 25 years in the military. I saw a guy come in with a little baby blanket and a toy hanging from his pants pocket. He went straight to the restroom. No kid/baby was with him. So my husband jokingly put on the cape in case he had to spring into action. I'm guessing there was an accident and the guy was handling it while his family was still in the car.
