This coffee girl is always looking for a new spot that is family owned. Located in Glendale, just a few doors down from The Greek Bistro, you will find this cafe. The inside is colorful with plenty of tables and beautiful Armenian murals on the wall. It's been here for 20 years...how did I not know that??? Being an Armenian coffee shop, I knew my coffee would be strong and not need it's usual extra shot. I was right!!! I ordered a 16 oz extra hot Honey Latte with whole milk, no foam. It was perfect! Not too sweet the way I like it! I also ordered a croissant which they heated up for me. It was good but when I asked for some jam the young man serving me said he couldn't spare it? Say what??? He needed it for some other item on the menu they serve. *Mental note to self, don't get a croissant here if you are "Jonesing" for some jam! *Plenty of tables inside and no rushing here...stay as long as you like! *Public Lot next door is free for the first 90 mins.

I got the Urartu Twist. It was mocha with caramel and was delicious. The coffee is very good and gives you a nice mild jolt of bold coffee. Very nice people working here. I will come back soon.

$8ish dollars for a banana and green iced tea, a little pricey but it's LA. Plus it's good to support a local business. Great service here also, they brought the drink to my table I was sitting on. Got harassed by a moth in the corner also. Good quiet study spot!

I absolutely love this family owned and operated coffee shop! The space is filled with warmth and character--beautiful Armenian inspired artifacts, paintings and books that make it feel more like a cultural haven than just a café. The rich aroma of freshly brewd coffee fills the air with hypnotizing notes that draws you in and make you want to stay! We tried both iced coffee and lattes, and each sip was bold, smooth and verysatisfying. The pastries and sweets paired perfectly, adding to the cozy, home-like atmosphere. Service was impeccable: genuine, attentive and welcoming. It truly felt as though I was enjoying coffee and desserts at my auntie's house, surrounded by comfort, tradition and hospitalty. This isn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee, it's an experience: a blend of culture, flavor, and family warmth that leaves you wanting to return again and again.

Good people, friendly and nice, they have excellent quality of coffee and pasties :) it's a very chill place, very clean inside and out. They have outside seating that you can enjoy the fresh air and also inside if you want a more quiet atmosphere.

This place upon entry felt comfy and relaxing, and it was nice and quiet too. I came here in the morning with my bf trying out coffee spots and I found this place! Everyone was nice and welcoming. The coffee I ordered was an iced banana oat latte, and it wasn't too overly sweet or bitter-- it was just right! It was a good kind of strong, and I was still able to taste the hints of banana in it. My bf ordered the urartu twist, and he said it was one of the best coffees he's ever had!

So thankful Urartu exists we need more places like this. Clean, comfortable, yummy food and drinks, kind employees. I feel right at home. The sandwiches are made with really fresh ingredients, no fake stuff here

It was ok. Menu items pictured from last year looked way better than what I received. Felt that ingredients could be better and fresher, namely the red radish. There were bruised parts that could have easily been hidden or cut off. I would not order the avocado toast again. Service was friendly but slow. It was also a little awkward because cashier decided to start on the order after I listed a few items without first taking my full order. Interior clean and fun chess board available to play with family or friends. Outdoor patio seating option was great for sunny weather. 90 min free parking in nearby structure.

I got the Urartu Twist and it was definitely up my alley. I love Vietnamese Coffee and the strong base and sweetness reminded me of it. Coffee house is really good and would definitely recommend if you are in the area and you need a caffeine boost.

Not sure why I never wrote a review for this coffee shop but here it is. Located on Artsakh Street this coffee shops serves delicious coffee drinks including Armenian coffee. I love their cold brew coffee, it's just perfect. My husband likes the americano. You can't go wrong with any of their drinks. And if you are not happy just let them know. They sell few kinds of sweets and also sandwiches and toasts. Indoor seating g is cozy and has a great ambiance. There is also outdoor seating on the closed off street. Perfect to meet up friends or business colleagues. Customer service is always great here, friendly and attentive staff. A family owned coffee shop that treats you like family. One of my favorite coffee stops when in the area.

Would definitely come back again! The owner is friendly and welcoming. Quick service and delicious coffee. Will try their food next time

I had a difficult time finding this place but I called and the lady that answered was extremely helpful and flagged me down amazing. I had the banana latte and the urartu omelette in a croissant talk about amazing i didn't ask if their croissant were made that morning but that was deliciously soft and amazing. The banana latte definitely tasted like bananas which i was going bananas for lol . It was a nice little place with many paintings which i loved to look at. I recommend. The orange juice was also delicious.

Now, our waiter Caroll was probably of the hardest workers I've ever had the pleasure of being served by, and it's almost comedic that I couldn't leave my drink empty for longer for a few seconds before it was infact, topped up. Bottomless drinks really do exist here. On top of that, caroll suggested strawberry lemonade and passion fruit ice tea in lieu of my normal Arnold Palmer that's my go to on account of being out of lemonade. The resulting concoction I've lovingly dubbed: The Susie Summers. Official ratios still being tweaked but: 40% Strawberry lemonade 60% Passion Fruit Iced Tea Garnish with a lemon wedge and sprig of mint. While I had the Black Cow burger it wasn't of paricular note, it was pleasant BUT I did order it medium well, out of an abundance of caution for a new place. I'm very confident that trying it medium rare will likely improve the beef flavor. Overall a tasty burger regardless. However, the chicken pot pie my partner ordered was plated beautifully and had a wonderful puff pastry atop a very savory and delightfully seasoned filling. I definitely think it was a show stopper. I even asked Caroll to surprise me with a random dessert, and let me tell you, the Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake is what dreams are made of. Very nicely sweet with a filling to knock your socks off. Oh the joys of new sights and smells. Cheers!

If it wasn't for the location, I don't think the restaurant would be nearly as popular. Our server was friendly, but not as attentive as we would've liked. (My husband had the steak and mushroom penne, friends had the Chimchurri steak and the wedge salad) The negatives: I had the shrimp risotto and found it blah. The serving was very small - i feel like American portions are often obscenely large (and don't like that), but this was much smaller than average and I was still hungry after eating it. The flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. And the shrimp were very small - what my husband and I call "bait" shrimp. Not the large shrimp you usually get at a nice restaurant. Since i was still hungry, I ordered a cobbler. It was fine, but not great. Texture was a bit strange - not traditional. Probably won't come back. The food is just not that interesting. It's like the kind of food you'd eat at a Midwestern buffet restaurant.

Daniel brought me the wrong taco; the taco was mostly lettuce and cheese very little meat ~ I was surprised because when I ordered this in the past it was excellent and done right (Not his fault tho he did write down my taco order incorrectly). He never came back to our table to check on us. When we were done we asked for a box because we had a lot of food left. He looked at it and brought us a tiny box. What was he thinking?? We asked the bus boy for another and he brought us the correct size. It was hard to get Daniels attention; we tried a few times to flag him down but he wasn't looking at us. We watched him a few different times throughout our time there, to see how he was with the other tables. We came to the conclusion that he looked like a fish out of water. Maybe he was overwhelmed even though the restaurant was a little more than half full last night at 5:30. Then he brought us our check while we were still eating! I told him I wanted to order dessert. Again, he had no clue what he was doing. I suggest the management take a look at this review and address this issue with him. Our experiences here have always been great, been coming for years.
