just start off I'd like to say I welcome that they have one of these places in the neighborhood. My daughter was invited to a birthday party that was hosted at urban air. Although we live fairly close, this was our first time experiencing urban air. It's a pretty well run establishment that has a good variety of options for entertainment for younger kids. If you're hosting a birthday party or any type of party, they have section of locations where you could either rent an adequate amount of table space for your guest or they have separate confined rooms where you could host your party. For the most part, the attraction at urban air are the trampolines. There's a section where you could just bounce on the trampolines in a grid pattern, where each section of the grid allows one person to jump. There is a caveat, though if you are going to be jumping on the trampolines, you have to purchased a pair of the trampoline socks from urban air. It's not that bad under five dollars after tax and you get to take them home they also have this other section that has trampolines and you play dodgeball. Another section has basketball with trampolines and then the last trampoline section is a jousting area and another area where you jump over a rotating bar. They also have in the center of urban air, a large bull pit which goes through several different obstacles. The other two sections are laser tag as well as a go kart area. It seems like you could bring in your own cakes and desserts if you rent out a party area and the catering pizza as well. I'm glad that they have urban air in the area and it is a well received substitute for what used to be there, which was Burlington Coat Factory. In terms of parking, they have adequate amount as urban air is shared in the same strip mall as a billiards and several other small businesses. read more

Felt like we lost 20 minutes in play time because host took a very long time checking in people. There was a confusion on where to meet/check in for birthday party. Go kart, laser tag, trampoline, and more. Go Kart employees could use some training on how to talk to little kids, as 2 kids from our party ended up crying because they were yelled at. read more

Best value for your money in Chicago for a place to take the kids to burn off the energy. My daughter will stay there open to close on the weekends. This place is HUGE. I think it's impossible for any kid to get bored in this place. There is so much to do from zip lines, to climbing to go carts to laser tag. The list goes on. And it's new so the place is clean. My daughter was here for a birthday and is already asking to come back. read more

This place is an anxious parent's worst nightmare. Why? 1. The sign-in/registration/waiver/entrance area is entirely disorganized and confusing. Why are there so many lines? Does it matter which line I stand in? Do I sign the waiver before or after I pay for a ticket? 2. The lights are dimmed throughout the facility, making it hard to find your kiddo(s) as they run from trampoline to ball pit to food court to bumper cars. 3. The microphone the attendants use to make birthday party announcements (e.g., "Members of Kaylee's birthday parties: head up to room 6) wasn't working well both times we were at Urban Air; the microphone cut out during crucial parts of messages. 3. The weekends are jam-packed with kids; I highly doubt the fire codes for each section are enforced. 4. The play area that is labeled for younger kids (on the east side of the building, in the front) didn't have a staff member supervising, so older/bigger kids were dominating the space. And now, the worst part: 4. The ball pit, where my own kids wanted to spend the most time, was an absolute trainwreck. I'm sure it's awesome for kids but trying to keep track of a child from the outside is panic inducing. 4a. The "room" is enclosed with a fine mesh, making it hard to see through. 4b. The area's lights cycle through deep hues, making the already-dim atmosphere even more problematic. 4c. The music is loud enough that the kids inside can't really hear people on the outside of the ball pit. 4d. The area is set up as a sort of "ninja" race, with four or five tracks that are meant to be traveled in only one direction. One or two attendants stand at the end of the "course" to shovel balls back into the pit and, I guess, enforce rules with their whistles, but the music is loud enough that no one pays any attention. So kids are kinda doing whatever they want--throwing balls at each other, climbing and jumping off things they shouldn't be, stalling at the halfway point, going backward through the course, etc. 4e. The white balls look like a ton of fun--but your kiddo, no matter how large, can dip into them well enough to completely disappear. I swear I'm not "that mum", but I could nearly feel the cortisol coursing through my veins as older kids jumped into the balls where I'd just seen a child disappear into. *Someone is going to get trampled in there.* There's gotta be some redeeming qualities, right? 1. The ropes course (a higher ticket tier) looks super fun. 2. The bumper cars area, though small and quick per session, is something you probably won't get hurt doing--although one of my kids got trapped in one because they couldn't open the seatbelt and the attendant didn't come around to check that everyone had vacated their seats. 3. Go karts are cool (a higher ticket tier), and there's a huge track. But hey, the rumour is that Urban Air is applying for a liquor license so when that goes through, you can get tipsy while your child drowns in the ball pit and gets a head injury. read more

Sometimes I wish I was a kid again when I go to places like this. So much to do. So much fun to be had. We were here for a birthday party. It was pretty much - go play, listen for the birthday girls name to be called to go back to the room, eat pizza, sing happy birthday, go play. Come back by a certain time to get your stuff. They have it down to a science but its a factory. If that works for the parent then hosting a party here is easy peasy. TBH, I was pleasantly surprised the pizza was good. read more

Beware of their shady membership practices. You have to jump through hoops to fully cancel your membership. I had 3 kids under my account. At the end of 6 months, I went online and cancelled my account. Yet, I continued to get charged for 2 of the kids. I called to explain the situation and told as per their policy, no refunds can be issued even though my kids have not been there for months. Seems they follow the gym membership model of making cancellations tricky to get you on the hook for an extra couple of months. read more

I'm so glad we tested Urban Air Glenview before booking my son's birthday party, because this place is completely mismanaged. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. First, the check-in process is a mess. After waiting in line, I was told I needed to sign a waiver first--something that could have easily been communicated with a clear sign or staff direction before standing in line. Instead, I had to waste more time, complete the waiver, and then start the line all over again. Second, the staff seems to make up rules as they go. I saw kids clearly under the height requirement for driving individual go-karts cutting the line because they were related to a staff member--completely unfair to paying guests. On top of that, some parents were allowed to drive without purchasing a parent ticket, while others were told they couldn't. It's confusing, inconsistent, and unprofessional. Considering the high cost, the lack of organization and favoritism is unacceptable. I understand the location is new, but that's no excuse for such poor management. I will definitely be steering clear of Urban Air Glenview in the future it's simply not worth it. read more

We attended a birthday party here today. This location was very nice. They had lots of activities for the kids to do, a ropes course, bumper cars, go carts, dodgeball, laser tag , trampolines, the zip line, and I think I saw climbing walls too. Some of the bumper cars can flip the rider upside down, that looked fun. The pizza was decently tasty for arcade food. Service was quick at the cafe and as far as I could tell, the party went on in a timely manner. All but one attraction seemed to be up and running, no big deal. Normally, having been here before, we are prepared for the busy and loud atmosphere of this place. Especially on weekends. But we showed up today as new members, and there was only one long line at the general admission area with one person checking in. I went to the members line when another Urban Air staff member showed up, only to be told to go to back to the original line. As we went back to the long line, a male adult went to the member's line and the female manager jumped in and checked him in right away! I went back to the line with my kids and told her we are members and have been waiting in the long line even before the guy she checked in. She seemed flustered and apologized. She wasn't really paying attention because I didn't have all my kids with me, but she checked them all in. She didn't even look up from her tablet. I told her my toddler wasn't with us, and only then did she look up. (Side note: not much for kids under age 5 to do here.) We were checked in and thought we were on our way. But then my 8 year old son who was in line for the zip line suddenly came to me crying because he was kicked out of the line for not having Urban Air socks! Mind you - when we signed up as members, they never gave us socks nor did they say they were required at all times. We thought it was just any kind of socks with grip, which is what we have seen on other people both at parties and who do general admission. My other kids who were with me happened to have Urban Air socks because of birthday parties they attended here. I was given some scripted response by the zip line attendants that the socks are required according to the waiver. Again, I went up to the member line where the manager was and explained my situation. She said, "He should've been given socks when you first signed up for a membership." I again repeated that he didn't get any, and she hastily got a new pair and gave them to me. I said that we are members and understand, but they should have checked and let us know before allowing us admission. Mind you, this is the same manager who didn't look up from checking us in. I told her that it was frustrating and it would've been nice if she checked. But she interrupted me and said, "It's okay, you have free socks on us!" She was looking at her tablet when she said this. She was unprofessional and dismissive. It's a shame, I am regretting this membership if management is like this here. I understand there are a lot of new staff and young adults who may not have had consistent training (which is an issue itself), but for a manager to behave like this is alarming. I am going to look into canceling my membership, though another review said you can't cancel before the contract ends. read more

I went to the store to sign up for the membership and book a party. You can only book two birthday rooms at the store; this option is not available online. The staff told me that I need to sign up for the membership first. So he helped me do that. I entered my credit card info, and it went through, but when he checked on his end, nothing was coming up. He asked me to re-enter my credit card information. So, I did. Finally, it showed up. Everything is all set- membership and party. When I got home and checked my email, I found that I had been charged twice for the membership. I called the customer service, and they refunded the membership fee, but not the enrollment fee. I called again, and they said they cannot refund the enrollment fee. So I paid two enrollment fees for one person. What a customer service! read more

The actual facility is GREAT for kids, but is TOTALLY oversold which worsens their experience. IF they wouldn't OVERSELL, it would be an amazing venue. Clearly, they are fitting every inch of that building to capacity to make money. I am guessing its a code violation of how many kids are in that place. It's a matter of time until someone gets hurt. Something they need to improve: 1)Do NOT overbook parties. You are holding WAY too many parties at once which impacts those having parties there. That place was INSANELY crowded which impacted party a lot. Platinum parties should get some type of "cut the line" type thing if you insist on overbooking. 2) Check-in process was horrible. Had to wait for hostess to meet me there and she kept running off so each kid had to wait until she came to get their wristband which impacts their playtime. I was also forced to stand in front until every family came, otherwise they would have no clue where to go as lines were long! 3) Parking situation needs to be resolved- which really means STOP overselling parties. As a party host, I had to park on the complete opposite side of the strip mall and find a way to bring in all my party supplies. 4) Don't listen to them when they say "eat, then take a break, then have cake". Demand doing cake immediately afterwards. I couldn't get the kids back (due to the long lines of attractions) and then hostess told me I had no time left at the table!! She also was nowhere to be found when it was time for cake anyway. 5)Fix the attraction that has been broken for weeks. I noticed it broken weeks apart 6) People should not be guilt tripped to tip on the ENTIRE party by making it appear upon signing your bill. Only on the food portion. The hostess literally just served us pizza/pop and gave wristbands, so definitely does NOT deserve a tip of the cost of the ENTIRE party at 30.00 a kid! read more

Do not have a birthday party here if you don't want to pay for kids parents. I had to pay $30 for every mom and dad which was 9 parents. Also, got wings and host didn't provide forks. Host was giving my guest a pizza which fell and she didn't even bother to pick up the pizza. Place is ran by screaming high school kids. Won't be back and definitely do not recommend. read more

We got the Platinum Membership at Urban Air--it was the best value for our family! My kids had an amazing time--the go-karts were the clear favorite! The staff was professional, super friendly, and really helpful. The Cafe had great food options at good prices, and the bathrooms were spotless. Plenty of seating for parents to relax too. This place just opened and already feels like a favorite spot. Perfect for letting kids burn off energy and make new friends. Wishing them lots of success! read more

I spent so much money for my child's birthday and rented a room upstairs for about 10 kids. They said we could only use the room for 3 hours, so after the party they made us leave. The 'gift' DELUXE PASS they said was included turned out to be just a piece of paper, not even a real play pass or anything. I just went back to return that paper, and now they're telling me I have to pay the full amount again. On top of that, their service was terrible and I got scammed twice by this place. Such a disgusting place -- they just take people's money for nothing. And now here I am, sitting here after all that. read more

The go kart staff were absolutely awful. Very rude straight to young teen girls faces. Rude comments made against us such as "this whole group is a 3 put of ten" and very rude directions were made aswell. Unclear. Rude. Unacceptable. These men also were very hostile towards us as we were getting out such as yelling at us and just overall disrespectful. as we were pulling in this is absolutely disgusting. As a young women watching this happen really made me reconsider if I would come here again. I usually love to come to urban air but this experience has changed my view completely. This place is top notch!! I took my 2 kids for the first time and during the check in process one of my kids was stressing out as he is autistic and wanted to just play in the jungle area. Ashlei I believe is her name was so patient with him and understood what was going on. Not just that, they have enough people in each section of play areas making sure kids are safe. Every staff member is so caring and they make sure they take turns cleaning each area. The good thing about this place is that you don't pay for a couple hours of play like other places so it's somewhat pricey but worth it if you want your children to have an awesome time.
