Out of maybe the 5 or 6 different places I've been to for an escape the room (some out of state, some around the area), this was my favorite one. With only 3 reviews seen on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to choose this place over so many others in the area. Groupon gave us a good price, so we went with this, and I'm glad we did. We did the "my crazy ex" room, which was great, and I hope to be back for the high school reunion, which the owner said had some scary features added to it. He said he used to work with haunted houses too, so I'm pretty interested in seeing what that one is like. It is similar to other escape the rooms where you find clues and input it in the locks to unlock the various locks in the room, but this was was so techy that they used other creative tactics to unlock boxes, drawers, etc. To be honest, I at first thought it was a little lame because I thought the person watching us just opened things with a press of a button when we did different actions, but I asked later on, and he showed us how different things worked. Hard to describe without giving spoilers of the room, but I'd have to say I was seriously mind blown about how creative things were and how fancy the technology was here. I loved this factor added into it. They have a 10 minute game that's only $5 a person on certain hours of weekdays, so we will most likely be back for this too! I definitely was hesitant at first to come here due to a few things (barely any Yelp reviews, homemade looking winner/loser signs/a few things that made it not look as professional or techy (the Hotmail email address :D....sorry, break escape for throwing you under here), but after experiencing their room, I'd really have to say there is a mastermind here who made these and put these rooms together. just start off I'd like to say I welcome that they have one of these places in the neighborhood. My…read moredaughter was invited to a birthday party that was hosted at urban air. Although we live fairly close, this was our first time experiencing urban air. It's a pretty well run establishment that has a good variety of options for entertainment for younger kids. If you're hosting a birthday party or any type of party, they have section of locations where you could either rent an adequate amount of table space for your guest or they have separate confined rooms where you could host your party. For the most part, the attraction at urban air are the trampolines. There's a section where you could just bounce on the trampolines in a grid pattern, where each section of the grid allows one person to jump. There is a caveat, though if you are going to be jumping on the trampolines, you have to purchased a pair of the trampoline socks from urban air. It's not that bad under five dollars after tax and you get to take them home they also have this other section that has trampolines and you play dodgeball. Another section has basketball with trampolines and then the last trampoline section is a jousting area and another area where you jump over a rotating bar. They also have in the center of urban air, a large bull pit which goes through several different obstacles. The other two sections are laser tag as well as a go kart area. It seems like you could bring in your own cakes and desserts if you rent out a party area and the catering pizza as well. I'm glad that they have urban air in the area and it is a well received substitute for what used to be there, which was Burlington Coat Factory. In terms of parking, they have adequate amount as urban air is shared in the same strip mall as a billiards and several other small businesses.

Despite that, we were told everyone had to buy this facility's branded socks. For a family that already purchased the ultimate package, this felt like nothing more than a cash grab. Requiring customers to buy another pair of socks when they already have safe, non-slip socks is ridiculous. What makes even less sense is that kids are expected to operate go-karts while wearing socks instead of protective footwear. In my opinion, that's a questionable safety policy. I hope they rethink it before someone gets hurt, and I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually leads to a lawsuit. Overall, the mandatory branded sock policy completely soured what should have been a fun family outing. We came prepared, spent a lot of money, and still felt nickel-and-dimed.

Then he went to an escape room party and had the best time and threw that into the mix. Finally we opted for a Mobile Escape Room followed by mobile hibachi in our garage. Basically 2 parties in one....but you only turn 10 once...right? Jason and Amy were super responsive and provided lots of info about their escape room choices and other mobile adventures as well. My son was all about the Super Hero escape room, which could hold 9 kids ma. When every kid responded yes to fun we realized we were going to need a 2nd option so opted to bring 2 escape room trucks. The other one was an underwater experience. We had the option of an hour in each truck or 30 min in each (so the kids could experience both). My son opted for the latter. The kids divided into 2 groups and did a condensed version of one escape room...and then did a switcheroo. They enjoyed both escape rooms, but all seemed to prefer the Super Hero one. One group was a closer group of friends than the other group and they seemed to solve everything a bit faster. I have noticed from other escape rooms that when a group is used to working/playing together things work out a bit better. Both gamemasters were super friendly and enthusiastic. We didn't have to do anything, but sit in our house and wait for them to come out which was definitely one of the easier parties we've thrown. They all came out excited and hungry for hibachi!

The owner, Robin, and one of the other employees were fantastic at leading a group of 21 first grade girls through painting a mermaid tail (there were so many choices for the canvas painting - my daughter happened to choose this one). They can do them more or less complex based on the age group of the party. Robin was truly fantastic to work with. She took care of everything, including ordering pizzas from elsewhere in the mall. I brought the paper goods and cupcakes and everything else was handled. We were in a party room in the back that is utilitarian but also decorated. I definitely appreciated that there were separate tables for the art and the eating! I was perfectly happy to not be out in the front of the store with the general public. And the price was totally reasonable given everything that they did for us. Would definitely host another party here! We've also come on a random day just to do a walk in ceramic painting, which was also great. Lots of selections at all sorts of different price points. You can also do walk in canvas painting.

They get high ratings, they're located conveniently in a mall where if you have youngers you can go to the playgrounds in the mall, and if you have olders, they can walk around and do a little independent shopping. I totally don't remember the name of our game master, but I felt that she wasn't really watching what we were doing, because when we asked for clues, she mentioned things that we already did at first. Also we had to take a few minutes to explain why a clue wasn't working, which ate into our time. Despite that, we still escaped with 10 minutes to spare! I definitely enjoyed and want to go to more escape rooms now!
