My cat Annabelle is a long hair tuxedo 13 years old. She has been getting a lion cut for the last 5 years from another groomer. I needed to change groomers because of cost and distance. I found Debby and told her Annabelle needed a lion cut, she suggested just a comb out and a deep bath, she said that she would do the lion cut but advised against it and that I would be happy with the bath and and comb out. I've been coming here for over 4 years now and I've loved their service every time! I have some of the grumpiest cats that have been turned away from other groomers aka petco, but the groomers here know how to take care of my cats! When you walk in, all you see are cats.. No Dogs! Cats will be walking around enjoying themselves and purring.. that's when you know they don't mind being here! Make sure to bring your cats in a carrier and have their immunization records. I've had the lion cut and the deshedding services done here. Even though the deshedding costs less than the lion cut, the groomer recommends it for my Persians since they enjoy it more! I never feel like I'm being ripped off here, and I know my cats will be safe whenever I drop them off! Definitely recommend this place for all cat owners! read more

Consistently high quality care for both my dog and cats. Best groom for my cats that I've found. My giant schnauzer/poodle mix is very happy to go there and comes home with her coat feeling cleaner and softer than anywhere else I've taken her. I am highly disappointed. I went in for just a nail trim and softpaws. They look fine, my cat was not injured, so that's great! Another reviewer stated they're not good with people. I have to agree, I felt dismissed. They also said they're good with cats. I don't know about that... I think that will depend on the cat. Personally, I wasn't happy with how my cat was treated, I felt it was overly rough and unnecessary. However, I think they may be a great option for more aggressive cats. Mine is not. I often go to Petsmart on Coit in Dallas. The cat groomers there do well. My cat allows them to work with him with no complaint. Yes, there are dogs in the room, but he tolerates it well and doesn't show any anxiety. They are always very gentle with him, restraining him with something almost like a hug and alway complimented his behavior on the way out. At Urban Aristocats they put on an air muzzle immediately (fine, I get it. employee safety. I'll accept it.), They were rough with him, pushing him down, and very forceful. My cat was not happy and kept trying to back away from the groomer. Keep in mind, my cat will just sprawl out and stretch on the vet's table when getting shots, he tolerates being handled really well. Urban Aristocats' website talks about their exclusive cat grooming room for cat comfort to be free of dog smells, and presence. What they don't say is they are sharing a space the the dog groomer Knot2Shaggy. They share a reception area, the dogs are loud, and this would be a stressor for most cats. I thought this would be a great idea to trial with my cat, but even the other cats in the shop were crying, and while that may not be the groomer's fault, it definitely won't create a more comfortable environment if your cat is scare of new or strange places. Bottom line: If you have a chill cat go somewhere else. If you like being respected as a customer, this is not for you. If you have an aggressive cat, and no one else is available.... I'm sorry, this might be your only choice. read more

Warning: if you don't pay attention and do everything exactly as Debby tells you, you won't have an appointment, you will be charged, she won't cooperate with you at all, you will have a negative experience, and it will be all your fault because she doesn't take responsibility or have consideration for customers. She will blame mistakes on "technology" or your misunderstanding/error. She will not accept blame or compromise with you, everything will be your fault. I don't know if she is a good groomer since I never got to use her service, but I do know she is an absolutely horrible business owner and person to deal with. She is condescending, will talk down to you, and make you feel like she is doing you a favor when you try to do business with her. Story: We made an "appointment" on her website...appointment in quotes because it's not an official appointment, it is only a request. The website states "This is ONLY a REQUEST, NOT a CONFIRMATION", and goes on to say that your request will be reviewed and replied to, confirming the actual appointment. We made the request a full month in advance and never received confirmation. After a few weeks, we forgot about it and when we remembered, we thought "She never responded, so I guess she ignored our request and doesn't want our business". The night before the appointment we get a text message "Your appointment for tomorrow..." and we were in a state of "Wth? Are you serious? We haven't heard from you, ever, we made the "request" over a month ago, and the night before you send a text message?" Since we thought it wasn't going to happen, we didn't plan to take off from work and go. The next morning I called, got an automated system, pressed the key to speak with someone, it rang and went to voicemail. I called back, pressed a different key, it rang and went to the same voicemail. I called again, pressed a different key, it rang and went to the same voicemail. No matter what button you press, it will ring, she will not answer, and it will go to the exact same voicemail, so it doesn't matter what you press. The next day I got a charge for $27, so I called again. After going through the same circle (automated system, press number, phone rings, voicemail) over a dozen times, I get a text message from her stating that she can't answer the phone (but she has enough time to text?). I replied that I wanted to speak with someone about the appointment. She continues to reply, via text, for the next 3 hours, and then sends a final text message at 9:30PM. The text message conversation? Basically she said it was my fault for not confirming the appointment and I was being charged a no-show fee. She said I should have called after 2 days of making the request to confirm the appointment. If no one answers, I should have left a voicemail, the text message the night before (over a month after making the request) was confirmation and that my not planning to miss work and go was enough for her to charge me a no-show fee. I continued to call and when I finally spoke with her, she said she is a "Professional" service that works by appointment, like a doctor's office. Key difference? When you make an appointment with a doctor's office, they don't tell you "This is only a request, wait for us to review, accept, and confirm it" and if the doctor's office doesn't reply and confirm your appointment, it is your fault and responsibility to call back and confirm the appointment. But wait, if you call and no one answers, you have to leave a voicemail, and if no one calls you back, you have to keep calling and leaving voicemails until someone responds. And don't forget, your appointment is still not confirmed, you only have a request. Bottom line: Be very careful and do everything exactly as Debby says, or else you will not have an appointment and will be charged. She will talk down to you, she will not cooperate with you and she will blame you for everything, no matter what. She did recommend Cat Connection, so I guess that's the one bright light in all of this. Good luck. read more

Wow. I have two rescue tabbies Theo (9 years old) and Vicky (5 years old) they're 100% house cats who rarely leave the house. I typically take them to the vet to get their annual shots, for a check up and to groom all in one day. Theo is the definition of a scaredy cat and it's a whole mess even getting him into the carrier. He's typically sedated when he's being groomed at the vet because he becomes aggressive, he begins to salivate, and becomes very agitated which is always a cause to worry because his little heart can literally stop. Well I read reviews about Debbie and people having similar issues and let me tell you... she amazed me. His hair was completely matted and she not only groomed him without anesthesia, she didn't shave him, and saved his hair. I am so glad I gave her a try. Vicky is my easy going baby so I wasn't concerned about her, now they both look and feel so clean ! We just became regulars and recommend Debbie and Urban Aristocats to anyone with Furbabies like mine! read more

I can't say enough good things about Urban Aristocats and Debby. They are always friendly and accomodating. My one baby is a real scaredy cat, and a senior, so the first time he was to have a bath I was worried about how he would react. First of all he was totally calm in Debby's hands, which made me feel better, and when I came to pick him up, he was totally chill and looking super handsome! I've never seen him so clean and fluffy. My other cat looks like a Persian, white, and she too looked beautiful and snow white. We had our third service today, and the standards are consistent. Wonderful customer service and excellent grooming! After trying another cat grooming place in the metroplex and being incredibly disappointed in their surly attitude, I googled to see what else was out there. Urban Aristocats came up and though it's not close I figured it was worth the drive. What I thought was really great is that you get to make an appointment...unheard of! Other cat owners will understand that at other groomers you typically drop your cat off first thing in the morning and wait and wait and wait to hear when they're ready to pick up. Not here! You get an appointment and you get your furry monster back in an hour or two. My kitty received a standard groom with a sani shave, not a lion cut or anything like that, so your time may vary. I just loved that the appointment meant less stress for the cat. As great as all of the above is, the customer service was really what sold me on this place. I left feeling very reassured that my cat was in good hands and that they truly cared about her. TL;DR Perks compared to other places: - FRIENDLY! - Adorable shop cats to pet - You make an appointment instead of dropping your cat off first thing in the morning and waiting all day for a call. - The sani cut includes a shave down the inside of the legs, which is GREAT for my long-haired cat. - Not pushy. We had an unexpected and rather urgent situation with our long haired cat today after she rolled around in a sticky fly trap. I started calling groomers right away to see if they could help. Debbie answered my call and although she didn't have any appointments available I was able to bring our cat in right away. My cat has been coming here for two years. By far the best groomer we have ever been to! Very knowledgeable, caring and understanding staff.

Good to cats, ew to people. Very unhappy with this groomer, I used them several times because they seemed to do a pretty good job with my cats, but some of the staff is so rude! I had some concerns about my cat's health during the grooming process and they were more interested in doing a sales pitch and being defensive then answering my questions. They are also extremely pushy, always trying to get you to make multiple appointments, even after I explained that's NOT an option with my cat's health- to the point they lied and said it loses them money when you see them regularly! Something that's obviously not true when you look at their prices. I've also got some concerns about how attentive they are to the cats- they come out clean and unharmed, but unhappiness levels are high, one of their receptionist seems to HATE cats (& people), and when one of my cats had a health problem (unrelated to the grooming) they either ignored it or did not pay enough attention to him notice his obvious distress. read more
