DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! TAKE A TOUR OF THE WHOLE FACILITY AND ASK QUESTIONS! I took a tour of the facility on 3/25 for daycare. It has taken me several months to digest the horror that I saw and to decide how to review. There was a worker sitting in the lobby with a blonde long hair miniature dachshund pinned to the ground by her collar with the worker's foot the whole time I was there. This is humane "training" for a breed susceptible to esophageal collapse and IVDD? Disgusting. You can see in a large window to the right of the lobby with all of the small dogs. Around 20+ dogs in a small concrete room all agitated and barking at once. Many appeared in true distress. One small cot for an elderly dog. A girl went in to scoop all of the poop and did not interact with any dogs. I asked why no interaction and the response was "if you show one small dog attention they will all want attention." Why are the dogs having to walk through the feces and urine and not getting potty breaks? Heartbreaking. THIS IS NOT NORMAL OR ACCEPTABLE!!! PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH, TAKE FULL TOURS, ETC. THERE ARE TOO MANY EXCELLENT DAYCARE/BOARDING FACILITIES IN DALLAS. I WENT ON TO TOUR MANY OTHERS AND THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST OF ALL OF THEM. I've used Paw Lofts for boarding and trusted them with my dog Maisie, but after this most recent stay I'm really disappointed. While I can only assume my dog enjoys daycare and boarding, as the facility has no cameras, I have trusted Paw Lofts and recommended to friends many times. Every time I drop her she seems happy. Unfortunately, Maisie was boarded there last week and also received a bath and nail trim on Thursday. Once I got her home I noticed that one of her nails had been cut all the way to the quick -- her paw was actually bloody and there was dried blood matted onto the fur. Then on Saturday while she was playing at home, she bumped that same nail and it started GUSHING blood again. I had to rush to stop it with quick stop powder. This has never happened to her before. She obviously is a dog and doesn't love nail trims, but I have a hard time believing she was acting so out of control that this was unavoidable, she's pretty sweet and I grind her nails myself at home -- When I called to express my dissatisfaction, I was told they don't even use clippers, but a Dremel, which is specifically supposed to prevent this type of injury. That means they must have been grinding her nails aggressively for it to get this bad... I hate that she was clearly in pain and nobody told me or acknowledged it at pickup -- I only discovered it once we were home. I'm including a photo of her sad face that evening when we were having to hold a bandage over her bleeding toe. I have trusted this facility in the past, but transparency and gentle handling are non-negotiable when it comes to grooming. This shouldn't have happened and in the off chance it does I would have appreciated notification, an apology, and probably even a comped nail trim. I hope this is taken seriously so no other pet has to go through this. read more

I travel often and usually use Rover to book boarding services for my dog and cat. My usual cat-sitter on Rover was unavailable so I decided to try Paw Lofts. At first, everything seemed great - I had a tour of their facility and their cat room was clean, quiet and all the cats in their care were well mannered. I will be leaving my cat for nearly a month with them (April 23rd - May 16th). After dropping my cat (Bandit) off, I messaged them to see how Bandit was settling in. Cherilynn told me Bandit was picking at her food but overall, seemed well adjusted and happy in her new environment. After boarding my flight, I wanted to check how Bandit was doing before my 16 hour international flight so I sent an follow up email on April 24th for an update - no response. Emailed again on April 26th - received a text with pic saying "Bandit is doing great - getting evening snuggles with techs and is sweetest thing ever." Emailed May 3rd for an update - received a text with pic saying "Bandit is doing great and is watching the fish tank today." From the messages, it seemed like Bandit was doing well. So I had no reason to worry. When I went to pick up Bandit on May 16th however, I was told that Bandit refused to eat her food and they had to get a vet to look at her for this reason. I wasn't billed for the vet inquiry but I also was never told that my cat stopped eating her food. I brought this up to Cherilynn, to which her reasoning was "I did tell you that she was picking at her food after you dropped her off to us when you asked for an update - so we did tell you." The fact that Cherilynn used this reasoning made me realize she is not empathetic to the fact that no one told me Bandit entirely stopped eating her food for almost a month- nothing was mentioned when I received those pictures of her with updates. "Picking at her food" during the first night and never bringing this issue up again when asked several times (over the course of almost a month) for an update will lead customers into thinking it's no longer an issue - anyone with half a brain cell wouldn't reason in such a strange way. I wasn't sure if I felt more disappointed at her attempt to salvage things with a reasoning that made no sense or felt sorry for her, so I decided not to waste any energy arguing back and forth, but I knew right then and there that I won't be back. While Paw Lofts claimed that Bandit was fed tuna and salmon instead, Bandit is 2.5 lbs lighter than her original weight prior to being dropped off at Paw Lofts. read more

This place seems to have a good system in place. However everytime I pick up my dog from here he seems to be dehydrated, constipated, and needing to pee. When I drop him off he drags his feet which leads me to question the experience. I assume the personnel is all professional, but my dog's responsiveness to coming here makes me question quality of care and attention to dogs that are passive and not aggresive enough to stand up for themselves. read more

I drop him off for daycare every day when I head to work and all the employees know his name and are very sweet with him:) he is always very happy when I pick him up and I know he has a lot of fun with them during the day. DO NOT take your pet here!!! Management is deceitful and will misrepresent their operations. My puppy was left unsupervised in a playroom- no tech present for the entire day. Upon questioning the front desk staff, I was told that that playroom (smaller dogs with sometimes greater than 22 dogs present when I counted) may or MAY NOT have a tech present!!! Why would we pay for ZERO supervision??? I walked in and witnessed my male puppy be continuously humped /molested by an older male dog- with NO tech present and Zero intervention / redirection!! Upon questioning the manager - she stated that they were being watched -via cameras. The very same manager /part owner (Lori) had previously told me that No cameras were present!! The front desk verified that they were expected to occasionally oversee that playroom: They sit behind a Very Tall counter and that playroom is not even visible!! In addition- dogs are NOT given potty breaks!! They are expected to potty in the playroom and techs (who may or may not be present) clean- as needed. A tech verified this by the way! My previously potty-trained pup started having accidents indoors after his 1st 2 daycare sessions here. Training involves cruel and unusual punishment and not loving /positive reinforcement. I witnessed a trainer place her foot on the puppies leash- very close to his collar and pin the poor puppy face down to the ground (in the lobby). I asked if he was in "Time out"-assuming he was being punished. She then verified he was in training!!! Appalling conditions!! DO NOT trust them with your pet- you will be deceived!! read more

At the risk of exposing my favorite secret...There is no where else I would take my dog than Paw Lofts. My dog loves it so much she would willingly hurl herself out of my car window if it would get her there faster on days we take her in. I have no children by law but my Pepper is an adopted baby. When she was about 5-6 months old, we started taking her to Debbie (the amazing trainer who runs Paw Lofts) for dog manners training, doggy daycare and overnight boarding. Whenever I am parted from my dog, my boyfriend and I can't help but look at each other and ask "what do you think pepper is doing right now?" Answer: having enough fun she forgets about us. They will text or call you with pictures and updates, during the holidays they send you a cute picture of your dog so you don't feel like they're alone on Christmas...I just can't say enough good things. I was searching for a new boarding places for my dog and came across Paw Lofts. Unfortunately our experience here was far from great. When I initially called, they had me fill out a lengthy survey for boarding which I completed as well as sent vaccination records via email. I called again to ask if I was able to tour the place, and they said they are currently under renovation and to ask in a week. I called a week later and they were still undergoing renovations which is completely understandable! However, I was asked if I could send in the vaccinations record. I responded I already did and they double checked (which shows lack of communication amongst staff). On the day we were going to drop him off, I had a couple questions regarding my dog's stay, so I phoned right before I was going in. A staff member named Michael said they did not have me down for any reservation despite me filling out a lengthy survey and calling multiple times in a couple of weeks. He found it and said to bring my dog in. When I brought him in, I gave them his food (all packaged with labels on them) as well as a cone. Our dog's paws were a little pink and we wanted him to wear a cone to prevent his hot spots from getting worse. When I went on vacation, I phoned Paw Lofts to get some updates. They said they were going to send me pictures and they didn't, so I was a little worried. Michael picked up and reassured me that my dog was anxious. I replied saying that he has separation anxiety and he responds with, "You have separation anxiety as well." I thought it was a rude response, but initially laughed it off. Again, I received no updates or pictures, so the following day, I called again and a girl picked up. She was great in giving me a report on our dog and said that a camera girl would be coming the next day and will provide me with some pictures. Needless to say, we didn't get any pictures and were in the dark during the whole trip. Before I arrived, I called Paw Lofts and let them know that we were on the way. Michael picked up and said he had no record of me picking up my dog - again despite me filling out a lengthy survey in the beginning which asks for dates and times. He said to swing on by afterwards. When we picked our dog up, he seemed anxious (which was fine since we knew he would be a little stressed). I asked one of the staff if they could return his food since I provided extra and they had no idea where his food was. They checked the back twice and came back empty-handed. In addition, our dog's paws were absolutely destroyed. His hot spots were substantially worse to the point where hair had fallen off and it was bleeding. When I voiced concern, Michael tried to mansplain me with a hot spot was and said that he was probably licking it. I said that that was the purpose of the cone. Regardless, we were not notified and they seemed to not even realize how bad his paws were which shows their lack of attention. In conclusion, our experience was extremely bad. I'm sure their grooming and training is a lot different, but if you don't want to be in the dark with how your dog is doing, I would suggest a different facility. Not only did they have no clue where his food was (lack of communication amongst staff), but they failed to even keep us updated - forcing us to constantly call on our vacation. read more

This puppy palace is pretty wonderful. They offer doggie daycare and dog boarding. Both are costly, but so is replacing your destuffed couch or the mental anguish of never going on vacation. I dropped my friend's dog off at doggie daycare here and took a tour of the facility while I was there. She has a punch card that allows her to drop off her dog without a reservation anytime between 6:00 AM and before closing time at 7:00 PM on weekdays (5:00 PM on weekends). They have separate designated areas for big and small dog groups. Since the big dogs can better handle the heat, they have access to a climate controlled room with a garage door partially open so they can access the outdoor play area as they desire. How fun that the big dogs can come and go between these two areas as they please. There was also a dog jungle gym outside that the dogs could climb on. Since the small dogs are more susceptible to heat exhaustion, they are escorted to the private outdoor play area and given 20-30 minutes there depending on the weather and then returned to the indoor play area that is air conditioned. They rotate between the two areas several times throughout the day. All dogs have to be up-to-date on a battery of vaccinations and paperwork must be on file in order to use the facility services. Each dog is individually assessed for his or her temperament and gradually paired in a play area with 1 or 2 really calm, tolerant dogs before graduating and being introduced to a larger group. Some dogs just play rough and others don't, so those two distinct characteristics are never mixed. A handler is always monitoring the situation, cleaning the areas, and available to give love and affection to the dogs. The climate controlled boarding area had a long hallway of individual rooms with 3 walls and a glass door. The rooms are decorated with nice wallpaper, a chandelier, a doggie couch and fresh bedding. This is obviously so the humans don't feel so guilty leaving their precious pets here (and their wallets - $79 a night) because the dogs still see the place as a kennel - comfortable and safe for sure, but still just a kennel. Since the rooms don't appear to have access to the outside, you have to rely on staff to rotate the dogs to an area to relieve themselves. Doggie daycare, playtime and grooming are all extra when boarding one's dog. The play areas and boarding areas seemed like they were being cleaned on a regular basis. It wasn't "library" quiet, but it wasn't unexpectedly deafening either. Dogs will bark when a stranger enters an area, and that was definitely the case when my tour group came through the hallway. Personally, If I still had a dog, I would sign up for the doggie daycare services. This facility does the safety assessments and groupings right and with access to both indoor and outdoor play areas, your pup is sure to come home happy, healthy and tired from a full day of play and mental stimulation. With the heat of the Texas summer or those torrential thunderstorms, this is a great way to get your dog exercised without worry. read more

I've had an outstanding experience with Paw Lofts over the past decade. I've trusted Paw Lofts with all my dogs over the past 10 years, including my current dog, Handsome, a 4-year-old pit bull. I've probably boarded my dogs with them around 500 times. They are flexible and accommodating, and each stay has been fantastic. Recently, Paw Lofts demonstrated their exceptional care when Handsome fell ill with a mysterious condition that turned out to be a mass in his nose. We were out of town when his symptoms appeared, but the staff at Paw Lofts were attentive enough to notice Handsome showing respiratory symptoms and promptly informed me, requesting permission to take him to the ER while keeping me updated throughout the process. Later, when his symptoms persisted, they arranged for him to see a highly regarded vet who finally diagnosed him. Without Paw Lofts' attentive staff, we might not have caught the issue in time. Despite being out of town during this ordeal, we knew Handsome was in capable hands, allowing us to enjoy our trip with peace of mind. Paw Lofts have treated my dog as if he were their own, which means the world to me. They are a compassionate and dedicated team that treats pets with the utmost care and professionalism. I forgot about setting up boarding my dog until 2 days before we were suppose to leave. I finally called and was reassured that they could still fit my dog in for boarding. New to dallas, I was overwhelmed by the number of doggy daycare and grooming options available. As a new pet parent with a golden doodle, I heard all sorts of horror stories about grooming gone bad and negative daycare experiences. After extensive research I finally settled on paw lofts, not only because of their great reviews but due to the fact that unlike other doggy daycare in the area, they limit play sizes to 15 pups max and have no cages in the facility. They do a great job of slowly introducing your dog to the other dogs by letting them interact with only 1-2 dogs at first to evaluate them. The sense of safety I feel from daycare and sigh of relief knowing I finally found a great and consistent groomer is worth every penny. (Before and after photos of our golden doodles first groom below) If this review isn't enough to make you feel better you should know my dog enthusiastically wags his tail the second he even sees the building 6 MONTH UPDATE: we have been going here once a week for daycare since writing the original review and have had 3 grooming sessions, 2 bath sessions, and 2 training sessions with their dog trainer, Debbie. We haven't had any issues with any of these services and the staff has remained professional and friendly (and gone out of their way to accommodate during the covid-19 pandemic to ensure the safety of pets and their owners). Paw Lofts is amazing! I have been taking my puppy there for daycare since she was two months old (now almost 5 months). I tried them because I needed a place that would take her before all her puppy shots were finished. They are open long hours, which is nice. They take extra special care of her (she is very small) by putting her in a safe small room with just one other puppy, so that they can both socialize in a less overwhelming way. All the employees know her by name, and she gets happy all over whenever we do the handoff in the mornings. If your kitty is social, they have play time with all the other cats but if your fur child is more shy they give them one on one attention. Their little condos are three story with a separate room for their litter boxes. The service is also incredible! I was nervous boarding my cat for the first time ever and they made sure to call or text pictures of him every day so I knew he was happy. My cat enjoys making friends with the other cats and always enjoys his time there! Not to mention they have a fish tank the cats can look at! I do not have a dog but their facilities always look clean and I know a ton of people from my apartment who bring their dogs for daycare while they work or boarding while they travel.
