SELLING FAKE LABUBU dolls!! I rushed here to buy these hard to find, latest trend, dolls yesterday and almost purchased hundreds of dollars worth when I suddenly realized the boxes were all taped shut. I asked the employees why they were taped and the response was shocking...the dolls arrived all together in one big box and an employee had to put each doll in the individual boxes to sell. Once I heard this, I examined the boxes carefully. 1) should arrive sealed (glued together by the manufacturer) 2) selling lower than manufacturer's retail price, about a third cheaper 3) boxes missing the holographic sticker of authenticity 4) boxes missing the light rays that wrap around the box for Big Into Energy 5) ink color on box isn't correct 6) box texture missing the matte finish Etc. It's a really good knock off for anyone that doesn't have a real one to compare to. Unfortunately for them, I just purchased over 10 real ones so I definitely know the differences. After I informed the employees, one of them told me that they were purchased from Las Vegas and not from the manufacturer. I didn't buy any so I can't tell you what the actual doll inside looks like, if it's a good knock off or not. I'm just surprised they didn't pull it from the shelf when I told them. Any reputable seller would've pulled them and tried to confirm the authenticity from whoever they purchased it from before putting it back on the shelf. I hope unwitting parents didn't buy this for their kids thinking it's authentic. This is what's called a Lafufu, a good fake! Please learn online the differences between real and fake Labubu dolls before purchasing. There is no way that this is legal, considering they're using the company name and copied all the writing on the box. read more

We came here to look for a special current Christmas ornament. Haven't been into a Hallmark shop in ages so I enjoyed browsing and was amazed at their inventory. Picked up a Xmas stocking for Bud just in case I couldn't find something for him on our cruise. Also chose holiday candies for the kiddies. Besides the regular cards and gifts I knew about they even carried cold weather clothes and accessories. read more

Would advise to avoid this Hallmark Store at all costs, and just go to the better, nicer Encinitas Hallmark store. The manager is nice, but every encounter I've ever had with salesperson Terri is horrific--she has no idea what she is doing at the register, and I have no idea why she is still working at our local Hallmark store. I have been in here twice now in the last two weeks. It's a very nice store- a wide arrange of gifts, cards and also has a US post office in the back which is very convenient. There is a lovely assortment of gifts and the prices are reasonable. Parking is easy. My problem is that, twice in a row, I overheard the staff speaking negatively about customers. Passing comments while huddled by the register. This was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. The first time was with regard to some folks sitting on the floor in the back while packaging an item to ship. The second was with regard to a customer buying something at the register. It's not like there were trying to be be quiet or subtle about it either. Keep your comments to yourself and just do your job is my take on this. The staff are not that pleasant when you are at the check-out so I think the focus should be more on that than gossiping. read more

This place has really cool items in it, but the service is just awful. I've probably been in here at least 20 times, and you can't even get acknowledged once you've entered the store . The people behind the counter are constantly talking to each other or seem too busy to help. They have a US Post office inside the store which is really helpful. (The post office doesn't have the same hours the store does) If you need to find a cute little unique gift, this is a good place to get it. And of course the obvious other stuff is nice as well. Going into this store for the post office versus paying additional at Postal Annex is a nice touch, so I'll continue to use this place. read more

As a long time customer of this store, I recently needed to discuss the store's return policy with the store manager. To my surprise I found out that she does a very bad job in listening to the customers' views and possible complaints. Her attitude has been passed on to the store's employees in dealing with the customers. Hope the Corporate managers will looking into this. This hallmark is a very convenient location complete with a post office built into the facility. The location itself is kind of a pain with respect to parking but this store is always beautifully appointed with a full stock of everything you need for gift giving. I usually only buy cards, wrapping accessories and stuffed trinkets from this location and they have never steered me in the wrong direction. The service has always been very helpful and they always have big smiles on their faces. read more

This is such a hidden gem as this place is more than just a Hallmark, it's a post office filled with gifts galore. I ran in on my way to a friend's baby shower to get a card only to get taken away with really cute gifts. I didnt' realize Hallmark carried gifts -good ones! I had great service from a associate named Sue. She was not only sweet, she recommended a few great ideas to add to my baby gift. One in particular was socks. The socks said on one foot "best" and the other said "mother" for when mothers have the baby in the hospital the socks keep their feet warm. Sue showed me where these should be only to find out they were sold out of this particular one. Sue went into the back to look and came out with a pair she was going to buy. She is the best and is so kind to be gracious enough to add to my baby gift and she only just met me. I will definitely be back, not only for great cards, but for great gifts!! This is such a convenient gift store because there is a POST OFFICE inside! So...you can get a gift or card and conveniently mail to off too! I love it when I walk through the store to the post office in the back and I start to think who I should be sending a note to or a care package to this month or week...I also bought two Christmas ornaments here and got a third for free! This is a convenient and cute gift store. The employees were very welcoming and cheerful and helpful but I could not stand more than a few minutes in the most god awful heat. I asked one of the employees why the air conditioning wasn't on on such a warm and humid day and I was told it has been broken for about a year! Really?????? You have got to be kidding me! I felt bad for the employees who had to spend their whole day there on their feet when I could hardly stand it for a few minutes. I think I will avoid this store from now on and will not recommend it to any of my friends. I have been into this store twice recently to purchase a card. It's a cool store and the post office is convenient. The last few visits to the store the inside is ridiculously HOT. I asked the staff why the A/C wasn't on and she said their A/C is broken. Other customers were saying it's been broken for months and is very uncomfortable. I don't see how the poor employees can work in that environment all day! Are the owners is too cheap to fix it so their customers are comfortable while shopping? What does it cost to replace an HVAC unit, 10 grand? It's the cost of doing business! Clearly they could care less about their customers and their staff! So I will shop elsewhere for my greeting card needs. Don't support people that do business this way. Im surprised people haven't complained to Hallmark corporation regarding these franchisees. This review is not for the shop itself but for the $13 San Diego beverage tumblers sold there. They leak like crazy and don't keep hot drinks hot for very long. The lids push down instead of screw on so if they have other options get something else. read more
