Our whole group came in for some chicken sandwiches. The kicked us all out bc we brought in drinks from Swig. All six of my family members and left to go elsewhere. Yall missed out on making some money and I will never come back here. They would not even take our orders!!! No signs on the door that said no outside food/ drinks inside. But even if I did bring in outside drink....im still trying to buy your chicken sandwiches urban bird.... Urban Bird has been one of my go-to spots for a while now, and the food consistently delivers! On my latest to-go order, I got the BBQ Urban Fries (with the fries on the side), which came with mac & cheese, and I added the mild Nashville chicken. Sidenote * they do have different heat levels. I also grabbed a large strawberry lemonade, extra sauce, and a side of Hot Cheetos dust. Everything was packed well, and the flavors were fire. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the sauces put everything on point, and that lemonade hit the spot. The service was quick and the vibe at this location is always welcoming, even for takeout. I've never had any issues before until this visit. When I got home, my mac & cheese was cold. I called to let them know, but instead of any sort of resolution, I was told, "The chef said the food was hot," while I was literally reheating it in the microwave. I had no reason to lie and didn't wanna go back and forth. I was a little disappointed, especially since I come quite a bit. I just wish the staff had handled that small situation with a bit more understanding, sometimes a simple "we're sorry" goes a long way. Still, this place is a favorite of mine, and one cold side won't stop me from coming back. I just hope in the future they handle things like that with a bit more care. Pro tip: Don't skip the Hot Cheetos dust it takes everything to the next level! That's just my opinion. Just a note to management: small gestures go a long way when something's off. I've tried the location in San Marcos and Georgetown, I didn't realize a location was in Webster until I searched it via Google. Low and behold, it's closer than I imagined. This restaurant is located on the feeter road of 45S and in a pocket parking lot of Lowe's. It's a shared parking lot and Urban Bird is nestled between two establishments. The restaurant is pretty standard red and wood style with a giant rooster standing on the middle table. Plenty of seating inside the restaurant including a couch like seat facing the counter (I'm guessing for takeout orders). There was one person taking the orders and the same person bringing out the orders, but she was going quick so there wasn't never a line. I ordered the meatless basket with fries with bread. I asked for the seasoning and sweet tangy BBQ to be saturated. The cashier chick was very nice, smiley, and patient when I took my order. Of course, when I got my order, they only put the seasonings on meatless tenders. There wasn't any sauce on it at all. So of course, I didn't get what I paid for. Nonetheless, the food was still very delicious and hit the spot after a very long day. I was given a free card to get a lemonade. The food is good so I'll be back, but next time I'm going to emphasize the importance of covering the meatless with sauce and make sure it has the spices. I'm from the South so I love seasoned food. Note to any consumer, as I was leaving. I noticed there was a ton of broken window glass on the ground. I got very scared and concerned thinking my windows were busted (as that expense would be expensive). I've been here about a half dozen times and I usually get the same thing each time. The Buffalo Mac hits the spot. It's a large portion and really hard to finish it. The menu isn't the largest but has some good options. The Mac and cheese is creamy, fries crispy, and chicken tender. The commotion of it all makes a pretty good meal. Well, what can I say. First time and Jeremiah was great at explaining my options. I went with the basket of 2 tenders. One I chose Nashville and the other extra hot. Nashville was the perfect amount of flavor and taste. But for me the extra hot was it. Especially with the Mac n cheese.. man o man. Also the hospitality of Armani. What a lovely young lady. I've grown to love Nashville hot chicken the past few years, and I was thinking this place would make me love it even more. Wrong. First off, it's common knowledge that when a customer is served the fiery poultry, it comes to them literally hot. Like straight out of the fryer. I got mine lukewarm at best. Second, the spiciness was underwhelming at best, MIA at worst. I finished my order, but it was because I was famished. My cousin didn't enjoy his order either. According to him, his was served cold. I hate to downgrade a 5-star rating, but when you have slow or poor service, you're gonna lose some stars. I placed an order online. The site says it takes about 20 minutes once the order is placed. The order was submitted at 3:19 pm and I arrived around 3:40 pm to pick it up. When I arrived it wasn't ready which wasn't a big deal. The employees who were very nice said they had 6 orders come in at 3:33pm. It occurred to me that my order was placed at 3:19, but I didn't get a text message saying that the order was "accepted" until 3:33pm. So it took them 15 minutes to even acknowledge the order. I got my drink and took a seat and waited. The store was pretty busy, but it seemed like most of the people were waiting on to go orders. I sat and waited 30 minutes, before finally getting up to check on the order. It was sitting on the counter with a bunch of other orders. No one ever called my name. I do not know how long it was sitting on the counter, but I'm not happy that I had to wait 45 minutes for my order. It really defeats the purpose of ordering ahead if you're going to have to wait for an absurd amount of time anyway. I would have been better off just ordering in person. The food was good, but was lukewarm so I had to heat it up in the microwave. I won't stop patronizing the business, but y'all need to improve the speed of service, especially for online orders. read more

If you're a fan of Nashville hot chicken like me, you gotta check out Urban Bird Hot Chicken - Webster, TX ! They are Veteran owned and operated. They just recently opened up, but have locations throughout Houston. I've tried them before and have been patiently waiting for this location to open up. We came in the evening and we were able to order and sit pretty quick, even though the place was slightly busy. Customer service was great and management checked on us frequently. On to the food! They have a variety of things to choose from such as tenders, sandwiches and a bunch of different fry creations. I went with the Urban Fries which was a huge basket of perfectly crispy and seasoned crinkle cut fries, two large chopped tenders, Mac and cheese, sauce, and I substituted jalapeños instead of pickles. This meal was so delicious and comforting and I enjoyed every bite. I wanted my tenders spicy and they suggested the Nashville Hot which had great flavor with just the right amount of burn. Still one of my favorites quick stop restaurants!!! Here I tried the meatless tender sandwich and it was dripping good. I appreciate how warm and moist the sandwich was, with just the right amount of heat and flavor. The sandwich was accompanied by sweet potatoes fries, which were good, although I am more of a regular fry fan. The facility was very clean and I would say the restroom was impressive. The clerk taking my order was well informed and very helpful with making decisions. Overall, this would have been 5 star review, with the exception of the lemonades. I tried the blueberry first, strawberry second and the regular last and noticed a consistency in all three of the flavors that was off, in all honesty they tasted old and not fresh. I had enjoyably tried them before and was excited about trying them again, although this time it was a no for me. So for this reason, they are short 1 star. Overall, I am still a fan. They have a few interesting takes on fries and the elote fries is definitely what caught my eye. My boyfriend got the tender basket and he got it in the medium hot level? I forgot what it was called, but it did have a good kick! Not terrible, but perfectly spiced. Now, going back to my fries... it was really good. I was worried that the fries would end up being soggy since we ordered it for delivery, but to my surprise, the fries were still hot, fresh, and crispy. The crema and the cotija cheese with the chipotle aioli drenched over the bed of fries and with the chicken tender... it was just a perfect blend of exactly what you would expect from a dish of elote fries. They give you a generous portion too! And I just dived right in and loved every single bite. Definitely recommend this dish! I ate there earlier today. They have a picture of macaroni and cheese with chicken on top of it. I asked the cashier is that macaroni and cheese with chicken and she said yes it's this one. I said cool. I have that and I want it to be medium on spicy. It's my first time eating here so I don't know the intensity of the spicy level, but medium is very weak sauce. Anyways, they brought out the food and it had more french fries than anything else and in the picture there's no french fries. My fault for not reading. So I sit down and had my food. I got home and I've been sick for the last three hours with heartburn and a migraine and I feel like shit after eating that. The staff was very friendly and the mango lemonade was perfect.
