Good food. In and out service. Good family spot for either lunch or dinner. TVs. Highlights tried - grilled chicken sandwich, burger, tenders, and pork chops.

I come to this place all the time when I'm in the Webster area. I've always loved the food here. It comes out fast and fresh. The people are nice that bring the food out to you. I just love the way this place looks. It's so relaxing to me with the picnic style table cloths. I always say I wanna try something different when I come here, but I was one of getting the same thing because it's so good which is the pork chops.

Really good service and good! Love the little dinner look. I got chicken fried chicken and my husband got the fried chicken. Mashed and Mac n cheese. We had enough for the next day!

Food is great prices are good. Service is excellent and I like the ambience and I have everybody can leave with an ice cream cone no matter what you order.

I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, the chicken fried steak was so salty. I personally didn't care for the jalapeño sauce. The steak itself was tough and hard to chew. I did love the free vanilla custard they offered.

A large, soft, salty pretzel and creamy, decadent dip made this app a 10/10. Then we tried a couple of cups of gumbo which had the best roux I have ever tasted... Another 10!!! I could just order a pretzel and a bowl of gumbo and be completely satisfied with my meal here. For our mains we got the sticky chicken and fried catfish. Sticky chicken was a little sweet for my taste 7/10 and the catfish was perfect, another 10/10. The sides were good but the jalapeno blueberry coleslaw stole the show. If you're ever in the area this restaurant is a must try! They'll be moving to a new location soon and I hope it has the same cozy feel as this original location.

A small one crawling on the wall near our table and someone from my party saw a larger one crawling near the kitchen. And boy was it stuffy in there. I asked our waitress if she could move a floor fan near for some relief and to detour the gnats, she said she go ask but she never came back and when she did she completely forgot my request. We weren't seated in the greater eating area where it was cooler and maybe where the gnats were less of a bother. The food was delicious and homemade, you can tell it was made with high quality ingredients and that Southern skill that you can only get from helping Grandma in the kitchen. BUT the roaches made us lose our appetite. Such a shame. It seemed like the building went down. They don't seem to put as much effort into the condition of that place as they do the food. Dusty ceiling fans and crummy floors. I appreciate the homey vibe but it looked really junky, more stuff piled in unoccupied corners as before. I gave a lot of things the side eye, I mean it there has to be maintained asthetic. They charged an 18% gratuity on my tab for a party of 8 but I arrived with 4 people, the other 4 had already been there, paid and was almost done with their meal. Then of course the cashier/waitress still mentioned an additional, optional tip. I didn't think that was fair. At the end of it all she wasn't the best waitress.

Part…read moreof the Pappas family of restaurant, this is their high end, elevated bbq stop that takes bbq and steaks to a new level. For starters, their HRW dinner menu sits at the low end price wise with a $40 option. Sure you can upgrade to a better steak but you can land a filet mignon on the $40 menu. Appetizers offered include a salad, a queso with sausage and chips and a boudin link. We sampled all. And because I love pork belly added their sticky pork belly appetizer to the table. First off, they don't skimp on the HRW portions. The waitress was clear that the boudin only had one link but it's was more than enough with the seasoned crackers, pickled onions and stone mustard. The queso features beef sausage and homemade chips. And the pig cubes are magic. Sticky and perfectly cooked. Mains too are well executed and plentiful. The steak eaters smiled big and those of us who opted for the triple bbq option were floored by the big ribs and the two additional meats that filled the plate. And than add 2 sides (bring an empty belly and plan on leftovers. Dessert is stunning as well. The cheesecake was light and fresh and the pecan cobbler an artistic delight. Shout out to the management who stopped at the table to discuss allergy precautions staff would take to protect a member of our party and to our super waitress Malaysia who handled our party with humor and kindness. She had a great handle on the menu and continually brought us containers for leftovers. The restaurant itself is relaxed but well appointed in the style you expect from Pappas. Run people!

I highly recommend chicken wings with butter and steak. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was super tender. We will definitely come back to taste more different foods. Food - 4.5/5 Service - 4/5…read moreAmbiance - 3.5/5 I had only heard mixed reviews regarding this place going in, so I figured my experience was going to be the same, but it was an overall very positive one. The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.
