There are many reasons I am giving Urban Bliss 5 stars. I've been a client of Jenna's for a few years and like other reviewers was thrilled to find out that she was opening her own practice. I came in today for a 90-minute massage in the new space and it was honestly the best one ever. Most importantly, Jenna is a really, really good masseuse, very responsive to individual needs and also just a lovely person. She also has great attention to detail: - Music not too soft, not too loud - Noise machine blocks the sounds of the road - I forgot where I was - Choice of essential oils - Temperature lovely and always carefully maintained with the bed and/or sheet/blanket. Like literally covering whichever foot isn't being massaged so it doesn't get cold - Ending with peppermint oil foot massage... I remember thinking to myself "this feels like the equivalent of when a waiter at a fancy restaurant is describing the special and says 'and then we finish it off with a beautiful [random luxurious ingredient]'" The foot massage was that thing. (Too weird? I was half-asleep, what can I say?) I could go on, but I also want to mention how fantastic the new space is. In the middle of a bland hallway is a magnetic glow surrounding the Urban Bliss entrance, and the inside of the studio looks like you could curl up with a book and some tea for hours. I have never felt the need to write a review, I definitely follow them, but really didn't think many places warranted one, until now! I have had massages all over the world, and yes I am picky, you would think when someone is rubbing your knots, even soso would be good, but not so much! I had one of the best massage experiences EVER here. It wasn't a "normal" run of the mill deep tissue, it was a Ashiatsu or barefoot massage, yes she massaged me with her feet - now, if you are anything like some of the people I told ,they were kind of grossed out by the thought of someone's feet touching them - I didn't feel any calluses, any toenails, any dry skin, any summer flip-flop feet at all!!! This massage was so good, I would seriously consider never getting an "old school", hand based, massage again. I had a one hour ashiatsu massage with Jenna, and it was amazing!! I don't think I'll ever have another regular massage again. I have so much tension in my neck and shoulders and love deep pressure. When she massages with her feet it gets deeper than any hand massage I've ever had! The atmosphere of the space was just perfect as well! I highly recommend the cupping as well!! I've also had Melanie provide a few different acupuncture techniques on my body and it was amazing. She is so gentle and her energy just flow through your body! I wouldn't recommend any other spa, acupuncture, or massage therapist besides Melanie and Jenna!! read more

I had an amazing 60-minute ashiatsu massage with Jenna yesterday. I have been having low back and shoulder pain for months and I felt like she ironed out some very stuck areas. I left feeling great - totally blissed out. I love the warm, beautiful space; the artwork and aromas and textures make it inviting and comforting. Jenna was a skilled, intuitive massage therapist. I felt very comfortable with her right off the bat. I also bought some apothecanna creme to continue healing my pain. I highly recommend Urban Bliss and will definitely be back. Jenna is AMAZING!! I think it's her goal to get me blissed out every time I go. I love the Bliss Out Massage and am ruined for any other massage therapist now thanks to Jenna! She loves her work, has an incredibly nurturing touch, even does my fingers, face and reflexology on my feet. If my eyes weren't closed they'd be rolling back in my head with exquiteness! I had a wonderful 90 minute Ashiatsu massage with Jenna. As she massaged me with her feet she detected areas in my upper back/shoulder region that were in need of healing. She made sure I was comfortable with the pressure she applied and that the environment was soothing. What ! should be a 10 star thought I died and went to heaven the Ashiatsu barefoot massage was just what I needed, was very deep massage I mean Jennas regular massage was very nice but the Ashiatsu barefoot massage was even better once you have this done you won't go back to a regular massage Jenna was awesome will be back. read more
