Think of this as your corporate cafeteria, except people that are not with the companies within the building can access it too. I work inside the building at 1201 N. Market and come down here sometimes when I am in Wilmington. As far as food offerings, I really can't complain! They have a variety of stations including a sandwich/salad area, hot food sections where they dish changes daily, a burger station, and I believe they offer sushi on certain days. In the mornings, you can expect to find the burger station transformed into a breakfast area to get your eggs, home fries, breakfast sandwiches, and more. Prices are awesome and you can get a full breakfast of 3 eggs, choice of sausage or bacon, home fries, and toast for $5. And remember there is no tax in Delaware! Towards the check out area, you can find another small shop that sells cookies and other sweets to round out your meal. It's a good place to grab lunch if you are in the area especially if you are not near the other end of North Market where the lunch spots are at. read more

This is a tiny little place that I would have never known existed if someone I rode the train with in the morning didn't tell me about it. You really can't beat the prices here. I can get a huge salad with tons of toppings fro 6 bucks. Pro-tip: If you check in on Yelp, you'll get a free (big)cookie. I also highly recommend the burrito/ quesadilla station, it's really good (and the nearest Qdoba does not make quesadillas). There is also handmade sushi, stir fry, and a smoothie station. They recently closed temporarily due to health code violations. Turns out, they have mice. Beware! I've seen one in front of the salad bar as well. I'm glad someone finally caught on. When I told the manager, he apologized and said he would look into it. Now they are closed for what they say is "electrical issues" but after speaking with the owners, I found out it's due to mice infestation. read more

Doing construction for new hotel across the street I come here a few times for lunch during the week. Crowd is mostly office workers from surrounding buildings. Anyone can come eat here though. This is in my office building. The shakes are really good but get pricey fast. The baked goods are terribly dry and disappointing. This is not true of catered orders though, when they put out better cookies and brownies. The workers are more about getting you in and out than friendliness but it's expected with the size of the lunch rush. The pastas are always more sauce than pasta but what you get is good. The stir fry is a lot of food and is really good. I wish they had more and cheaper snack options and that they were open past 2! read more

I'd say this restaurant is pretty uninspiring. A healthier, fresher version of what you could get at Wawa. I got a tuna wrap that was 10% tuna, 85% lettuce, 5% tomatoes and onions. The wrap maker didn't ask me what I wanted on my wrap, salt/ pepper and oil and vinegar would've been nice. She rushed through making my sandwich and there was no one in the restaurant. I also got a smoothie. That was refreshing and a deal for $4, but I wish there had been more info posted on the menu about the ingredients for the base used in my smoothie. Finally, I got checked out by a lady who had been shelving and running around on her feet since I got in the store. She asked if I got everything I wanted. I told her that the cashier put too much lettuce on my wrap. She asked if I told her that and if I wanted the wrap. I said the wrap maker acted like she didn't understand me and couldn't be bothered. I told her I would take the sandwich, but if I didn't like it, I'll never be back. She rang me up and gave me my receipt. She was pleasant for the most part. I give this restaurant 2 stars for a tasty smoothie and for having clean and fresh ingredients. I would like to give a shout out to this awesome business. We came into town from Northen VA for a Labor Day weekend Hockey tournament and as a group had to stay at the Sheraton. I contacted Manny at Urban Cafe and he and his staff were able to open up for us on a Saturday. It was a short walk from our hotel. Parents, team mates, and siblings were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast buffet/brunch. There was plenty of food for the 15 growing boys and all of the families. Great coffee too! The facility was open, bright, and clean. For a group our size we can easily cause mass chaos when entering a restaurant. Everyone was happy and it was a great way for the kids and parents to relax and enjoy before today's festivities. Thank you Urban Cafe - you were the highlight of our stay here in Wilmington. This place has drastically gone downhill. I've tried to be optimistic and give it another chance but today was the last time. I loved the cafe earlier this year but with the high turnover in employees, inconsistent meals, and poorly cooked food, I will not be returning. Such a shame because I would eat lunch here a couple times a week. read more
