I want to like this place but the vibe is not my favorite. Some of the stickers by the bathroom are not family friendly and were noticed by one of my children. My omelette was acceptable, the potatoes were rather pale, I had to ask another server for my toast bc ours didn't come backDecaf was fine but they kept trying to pour regular in my cup. This is our number one breakfast spot so far! I surprise my wife when I found this little gem. It's small, and can get crowded with their busy clientele, but the food is AMAZING! My wife and I recently visited and have been craving to go back but haven't found the time. They have an efficient wait staff. We came here after a very long time since we moved to Philly. It is a predominantly women run and managed place. They're open for breakfast and lunch only. I ordered the cheesesteak omlette with rye bread which was quite good. The potatoes that came with the omlette were strictly okay. Husband ordered the Morton sandwich. This sandwich is the stuff of your dreams if you're starving. It had been my go to order for a very long time until I decided I needed to try other things. The sandwich comes with sausage patty, bacon, eggs and cheese. They have good service. Tips are cash only. Go here knowing you're going to a breakfast place in Delaware Valley and you won't be disappointted. Do not expect the menu you get in brunch places in Philly. Holy crap, what a great find! Stumbled upon this place randomly after a detour put us in this neck of the woods on a Sunday. It was lunchtime and we were peckish, and the restaurant name had the magic word "coffee" in it, so what the heck. The Coffee Station II (apparently the original one is in Morton, PA) is clearly a family-owned mom-and-pop sort of place that only serves breakfast and lunch; if memory serves, they close at 2pm on Sundays, and 3pm on Saturdays. On Sundays, you can only order from the breakfast side of the menu. This is perfectly OK, because the menu is full of delicious stuff (and snarky quips). My boyfriend ordered the sausage breakfast wrap, and I ordered a swiss cheese omelet with tomatoes and green peppers... it was really great. They slice their red-bliss homefries fresh each day, and you can tell because they're leaps and bounds better than your average diner spuds. They brag about using real butter-- my kind of place. Inside, there's counter service available as well as table service, and the waitstaff is comprised of friendly high school kids who are already learning about providing good service. The tables have a mug of Trivial Pursuit cards to pass the time, and live music as well-- can you stand it? It was awesome! The musician of the day played a sweet combination of singer/songwriter favorites, and the volume was loud enough to enjoy it, but you could still have a conversation. He seemed confused but appreciative when we applauded. :-) [EDIT: No more live music. No worries.] This place and menu was clearly designed by someone who gives a crap about good food, cheery ambiance, tasty coffee and quick service. The Coffee Station II is now officially part of our restaurant short list. We'll be back, and often. We have an hour of cleaning to do yet." took our orders, including special requests. lunch was fantastic! Our server had a Birthday button on, so I asked if it was her birthday, which she confirmed. I told her mine was tomorrow and wished her a Happy Birthday. I recently just moved back into the area. I had forgotten all about The Coffee Station until I saw them on DoorDash. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that my experience in person at the restaurant would have been a lot better than the delivery. The first thing is that when you order on DoorDash, they tell you that you can't customize your order all, so if you want your eggs a certain way besides what the menu describes, you're SOL. Even though I prefer my eggs scrambled, I ordered something that came with sunny-side up, I figured I could deal with it....but wow, the eggs were barely cooked...runny and slimy. The scrapple was just this side of burnt, and the potatoes were sliced so thick there was no way they would ever be "crisp'. They were also barely salted. Well....the apple juice was good. I haven't given up on them completely for a possible in-person visit, but I'm not ordering for delivery with them anymore. read more

We were on Friday of Black Friday 2017. Its a cash only place. The place was not very crowded and we got seated immediately. First impression, its a very chillled out Coffee place with unique decor. The place was run by female employees. We ordered coffee, mortin sandwich and Philly cheesestake Omlette. Everything came out quick. Service was very prompt. Food was tasty. The side of fries were a bit not crispy to my liking and the food was a bit greasy with oil. Also, the meat in Cheesestake was a lil undercooked . Morton sandwich was very tasty. Loved it. One thing, for some reason the sausage patty and bacon meat in the sandwich seemed frozen meat as opposed to fresh. May be in my mind. I'm relatively new to the area and have visited this restaurant multiple times over the last few months. Unfortunately my visit today was a stark contrast to previous trips. Glaring issues.. 1) breakfast overcooked and 2) owner noticeably stopped at all tables for a brief greeting but overlooked me more than once. Very questionable given its a very small shop! The area doesn't include a lot of folks that look like me but couldn't help thinking there is more to it. What a way to enjoy the afternoon. Perhaps the worst breakfast I've had at a restaurant. Breakfast potatoes were from a can and tasteless. I wouldn't serve these in my house. Green peppers and onions in the western omelet looked old. Ordered cheese on the omelet and there was a glob in the middle. Coffee was low grade. Only went here because it was the only place we called on a Sunday morning that didn't have a wait. Finally approached by a server who seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. She never introduced herself, I got her name off the check after our meal. "M" never came to check on us when we started eating, told us she forgot the butter for my husband's toast but never brought that out. Both of our water glasses needed to be refilled, but that only happened when she came to see if we were ready for the check. Totally understandable you are looking for replacement servers. The Coffee Station is everything you want in a breakfast/lunch diner. The ambiance is bright and quirky without ever feeling precious, the service is good (it used to be spotty, but it's really improved lately), and the food is exactly what you want. I'm a huge fan of the Bugtussel, an egg-cheese-English muffin conglomeration that feels lovingly homemade. But it's all good...the omelets are strong, the potatoes are magical and not over-fried, and the pancakes certainly look healthy. Be sure to get their homemade chicken soup if you come for lunch on the weekend. And for the love of De Niro, try their Italian beef sandwich with broccoli rabe. You'll eat half of it, take the rest home, and find it's even better the next day. I'm looking for a downside here...well, the turkey sausage isn't great, and as I said, it can get a little crowded and privacy challenged. But for wonderful food and a perfect casual experience, you cannot beat the Coffee Station. read more

My boyfriend and I had brunch here yesterday. Even though it was noonish, I was still groggy (hey, it was Saturday) and was having trouble comprehending the menu. It's pretty extensive for such a tiny place. I opted instead for one of the day's specials, the Thanksgiving Burger: a turkey burger topped with stuffing and cranberry sauce, with sweet potato fries on the side. It was a wise choice. I only wish I had enough room in my stomach for those last few bites. There was a mug full of Trivial Pursuit cards on the table, which was more than enough to keep us entertained while we waited for our food. The waitresses were young (teenagers?) but attentive and friendly. I'm not totally sure what they were going for with the decor, but I didn't let that detract from my experience. And the prices were great (but keep in mind, I usually dine in Center City Philadelphia). I hope to return soon. read more
