Fried chicken and bacon bahn mi with Vermentino
    Ryan W.

Pho is a winter comfort food but I never had Bahn Mi until tonight. Urban chops was my delicious entry drug. I had the slightly sweet and gooey fried chicken and bacon Bahn Mi. Delicious. We took it to go because they were close to closing. Get there early! They close at 6 peoples. The Vermentino is my bougie add and a good pairing. Sparking is probably better.

Stopped in for quick lunch and left with a full belly and a smile on my face. The crunchy chicken bacon bahn mi was out of this world delicious. The sauces, textures, and flavors were simply perfection. The lemongrass chicken noodle salad was also superb. Their dressing was notably better than others and the chicken was super flavorful. Casual ambience, food is served in single use plastic items, and they only have plastic ware.

There are about 8 parking spots right outside of the restaurant. Everything is self serve, you order and pay at the counter first, so no service for the guests For the portion vs. cost, it's definitely great value. There are plenty of seats on the inside if you don't want to take it to-go and eat in the car. The interior needs a little freshen up for sure. Other ways, it's solid for a fast food spot

The Thai chili shrimp and pork Banh mi is not for the faint of heart. Perfect marriage of flavor and heat. Bit on the pricey side. The baguette is so good. Will be back for more. There is some inside seating and a decent sized parking lot. A condiment table with carry out containers is a nice touch. They can do something about the ventilation and the cleanliness of the restrooms Please support this minority owned small business.

Amazing spot for creative banh mi or bun flavors. The portions are super big and I was amazed at how large the bun sandwiches are. Would come back if I wasn't just in town for vacation.

I came with my whole family while stopping by on a vacation drive. I found this spot on Yelp and it looked amazing. I am happy to report that it's as good as it looks!!! Everyone enjoyed their food. I loved the variety of options. I got the soft shell crab and ginger shrimp bahn mi and it was amazing. The staff were very nice. The inside was clean and bright! Definitely worth the quick stop!

First the service was fantastic The ginger shrimp and soft shell crab sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life hands down demolished the whole thing like I was a man I'm guilty I could not stop eating it!! I 100% RECOMMEND

Crunchy chicken with bacon on a bao bun

The two sandwiches my wife and I shared from Urban Chops are probably the best sandwiches we will have this year. We shared a crunch chicken with bacon sandwich on a bao bun and an urban pork sandwich on a bao bun. I honestly couldn't tell you which was better but they were both unbelievably good. Each individual component of the sandwich was executed masterfully. The chicken and the bacon was crunchy and tender. The pork was tender and juicy and had a crispy sliver of what I think was fried pork skin. Excellent. The service was acceptable but not exceptional. I'll give them a pass considering how delicious their food is. As for the ambiance the place is very very casual. Just come in however you are.

I got the bao bun sandwich to go, I didn't expect it to be so big! It was the size of a burger.

Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.

I've confirmed with the staff that they don't use msg because the soup tastes so good! I also didn't feel tired or super thirsty a few hours later so that's also a really good sign they didn't put msg or a lot of salt. Combination pho (5/5) Unbelievable taste, lots of flavor, soup came out piping hot and lots of fresh ingredients and meat. The noodle itself is also cooked perfectly. Vermicelli with pork and egg rolls (5/5) The pork is very tender and tastes delicious, the sauce that comes with it is not overly salty and you don't need to pour so much since the noodles and ingredients taste very flavorful already. The service here matches the amazing flavors. They are very attentive and always make sure we are happy the entire meal. The place looks very clean and well decorated. I would definitely want to come back and try everything on the menu!

Honestly, from the outside--and even when you first walk in--the place looks pretty average. The setup is simple, and the waitress (who also seemed to be the hostess and possibly helping with food prep) wore a black mask and wasn't overly chatty or outwardly friendly. But then the food arrived. And wow. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and authentic. The bánh mì was crisp and flavorful, the rice dishes were perfectly balanced, and the noodle soups were deeply satisfying--the kind of comforting, clean broth that tells you it's been done right. What really says something is this: we kept going back. Over the four days we were in town for the swim meet, this became our repeat spot. When you travel, you try many places--but when you return to the same restaurant multiple times, that tells you everything. Even better, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality of the food. This place proves an old truth: some of the best food hides in the most unremarkable strip malls. If you're in Federal Way and craving great Vietnamese food, don't overlook this spot.

My order here will forever be the bun bo hue. It's the best one I've had, and I've had a lot. The broth has so much depth to it, and the flavor is SO GOOD. I love that their bun bo hue has a lot of sate in it, and doesn't taste just like a clear broth that some restaurants serve. It even comes with the standard pork hock and pork blood, I know a lot of restaurants may omit that. I can't recommend it enough, it's a must try!! It is a little on the spicy side though if you're sensitive to it, but it was perfect for me. The service here is quick, although the restaurant itself is a bit small. I never had to wait for long though. I'll definitely be back during my annual Seattle trip!

We came off a flight at Sea-Tac hoping to find something to satisfy everyone before the long drive home: The eye round and flank beef pho definitely hit the mark. My husband ordered the mixed beef, and not having had tripe before wasn't a fan, but still enjoyed the other meats in the dish and overall flavor. Egg rolls were excellent and the fried rice was a favorite for my 10 year old. My 12 year old sampled and loved every dish equally. The owner was exceptional and waited on us like a one-man show he was warm and friendly us and our kids. The wait wasn't long, but he surprised our kids with chocolate after dinner for waiting patiently and smiled and joked with everyone in the restaurant and he moved around the restaurant. I've also been here on Saturday evenings when the wait has been 30 minutes to an hour, so I think we just picked a good time to visit. We started with the spicy cucumber salad (which I somehow forgot to take a picture of), and then my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken while I had the beef and broccoli. The server was very friendly, and all of the food came out fresh, hot, and tasted really good. I especially appreciated that everything was served nice and hot. The biggest downside for me was the price. I understand it's inside the casino, but it still felt expensive for what you're getting. My husband's General Tso's chicken with a small serving of rice was around $23, my beef and broccoli was $26, and even the small bowl of cucumber salad was $9 before tax. While my portion was definitely generous, it still felt like a pricey meal for Chinese food. Overall, the food was good and I'd eat here again if I was craving it, but it's definitely one of the more expensive dining options inside Muckleshoot. If you're planning to eat here, I'd expect to spend at least around $25 per person before drinks and tax.
