I wasn't super starving, so the buttery warm lobster roll sounded like it would hit the spot, and it did. It was delicious and loaded with lobster. What I didn't expect was that beautifully charred corn on the cob... wow was that delicious too. And thin, crispy fries! Oh yeah! I almost forgot I started off with an amazing shrimp cocktail with plump, dense, cold shrimp served on ice. The cocktail sauce had a nice kick to it too. The menu was extensive and there's surely something on it for any seafood lover. I'd come back if I was in the area as it was probably the best meal I had in Leesburg.

A majority of the staff left this location 1.5 years ago for a new store and the service has left as well. Although there are several servers who are excellent, unfortunately there are more who are not. Management is probably worse because she doesn't take definitive action, she'd rather be everyone's best friend. I have sent food back countless times: waffles weren't cooked through, waffles were served cold, and oatmeal looked like mush. Likewise, I have also waited over 1.5 hours for the kitchen to get my food correct. After two screw ups, one with a wrong order and the second served cold, I ate little of what was brought because at that point I wanted to leave. My takeaway is have patience and come early.

She was patient, kind, and so sweet that she made the experience enjoyable and in a way, made you feel like family. As for the food, the classic breakfast was tasty. It carried a lot of flavor with the eggs and even the potatoes were flavorful and crispy. The best feature was the sweet butter. I could eat a whole tub of that and want to eat more. It is decadent and creamy.

The interior feels like a cross between an old country store and a classic small-town diner. There's a counter with stools, booths lining the opposite wall, and additional tables toward the back. The building definitely shows its age--which makes sense given its location in historic Leesburg. The men's restroom is tiny, and the dining room was a little chilly (something a few other Yelpers have mentioned), but with the humidity outside, it wasn't a dealbreaker. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We ordered an Americano, a waffle with scrambled eggs, and the country fried steak with sunny-side-up eggs and hash browns. Everything was delicious. The Americano, made with locally roasted Cafe Kindred coffee, was excellent--good enough that I may have to stop by their Falls Church location and pick up a bag of beans. The country fried steak was generously smothered in gravy, with plenty left over for the crispy hash browns. My eggs were just a touch more cooked than I prefer, but they were still runny enough to mix into the hash browns. My wife's waffle was enormous, and she enjoyed every bite. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the overall value is hard to beat. After reading some previous reviews, I'm glad we visited during a quieter time. Between the comforting food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service, Leesburg Diner delivered exactly what you hope for from a hometown diner. The country fried steak was huge, and the biscuit was light, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up my over-medium eggs. My wife went with the Kashmir's Sterling Combo, which included golden-brown French toast, two eggs, hash browns, and bacon. The hash browns and bacon were both perfectly crispy. Jennifer was our server, and she was incredibly friendly. We hadn't visited in a while, and she filled us in on all the improvements since a car crashed into the building back in May 2025. The renovations look great--the new flooring brightens up the dining room, and relocating the check-in counter has made the space feel much more open.
