I am extremely disappointed with my experience. On June 3, 2026, I called to schedule a grooming appointment for my two dogs. After arriving promptly at 8:00 AM for the appointment, the front desk staff was unable to locate any record of it. I explained that the appointment had been made by phone the previous day and asked if they could search using my telephone number, but nothing appeared in their system. This was both frustrating and inconvenient, especially after taking the time to plan my morning around the appointment. Most businesses provide a confirmation text, email, or some form of appointment verification, but unfortunately that was not the case here. The lack of organization and professionalism left me questioning whether my appointment was ever properly entered into the system. As a customer, I expect clear communication and reliable scheduling. Based on this experience, I cannot personally recommend this dog grooming business. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the service my dog received at this grooming salon. Not only did they return my dog with visibly irritated skin, but he also had multiple small cuts all over his body. It's clear that either the groomer was rushing or lacked the proper skill and care needed when handling pets. My dog has been in distress due to the irritation. To make matters worse, we found a tick embedded in his ear immediately after leaving the appointment. That alone shows a complete lack of attention and thoroughness. A professional groomer should absolutely notice (and remove) something as serious as that -- or at the very least inform us. There was no mention of any issues when I picked him up -- no apology, no warning, nothing. Transparency and accountability are the least I expect when trusting someone with my pet's well-being. read more

it was our very first grooming experience with two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, so with two high maintenance pups I was super nervous. Dash also had a lot of matting on his hygiene area. not only did they do an amazing job shaving that area, but they both look gorgeous and smell amazing. we will definitely be return customers. I have a 12 month old mini sheepadoodle with a bad, uneven haircut that I brought there. She asked me what size guard I wanted used and I said I didn't know so we talked through the options and ultimately, I said I'm not sure what number but I don't want him shorter than an inch, maybe an inch to an inch and a half long. When I came to pick him up, he was shaved to the skin. Literally to the skin with bald spots. I said "what happened to my dog!?" not in a mean way, kind of laughing. And she said well that's a 5 guard you said you wanted. I said no. It's not what I wanted. She said looks at the computer and responds. "yeah that's a five. Besides, he's a doodle it'll grow really fast" It was at that point that they lost a customer. It's hair. It grows back. But the fact that she was insistent on telling me it's what I asked for instead of admitting that there was a mistake? That's when it became unacceptable. read more

Very impressed with this groomer overall. When you walk in you have many choices of pet apparel, leashes, etc. It was Bella's first time getting groomed here and we will definitely return. I didn't happen to catch the groomers name, but she was very helpful. She showed me different styles, hair length, and provided options of details such as nail trimming, etc. She took her time and helped me pick out matching bandanas and bows for Bella. Don't ever bring your dog here! My dog has been groomed here twice. The first time she came home with a cut eye but I excused that because it was her first grooming so it's possible that she was antsy. This second time I was absolutely not pleased with her haircut, I've been growing her hair for months and keeping her combed to keep her long and fluffy. They cut offf Alllllllll of her hair when I instructed them not to shave her legs. My dog look like she just finished chemotherapy. You could she every bone in her body. read more

I am very upset. My innocent and sweet angel Labrador got groomed here and when I picked him up his nose was rubbed completely raw. He must have not been supervised at all in order for this to happen. This could scar and completely ruin his angelic face for the rest of his life!!! There was no explanation and the lady I talked with on the phone with blamed it on the dog not liking the crate as evidence by all his "talking" he was doing. No one ever called me to talk to me about this and acted like everything was fine even though his face was ruined, and he moped around the house in horrible pain. He was definitely embarrassed his sweet face was destroyed by this lack of supervision. It's safe to say I will NEVER be returning to this wretched establishment. Just had a great experience with Urban Dogg! From making the appointment with Ben to picking up our sweet pup, everything was smooth. One thing I did notice was that she came back home and didn't race to her water bowl or to our yard which means they actually took her out to go potty and gave her water. We have been to groomers in the past that did not do that and were furious! Imagine not getting water or be able to relieve yourself all day! Grateful Urban Dogg took good care of our pup like she was their own, listened to our needs, and made the whole experience pleasant! Now she looks like a million bucks! We have been taking our Pom here for years now, but all good things must come to an end. I will admit my timing was not the best, which caused me to forfeit my pups appointment. The owner or manager treated my husband and I so rudely, yet we continued to reschedule an appointment. She was unapologetic. She did not try to listen to my husband and I when we tried to offer an explanation as to why we couldn't make our appointment as we hoped for. Life happens, and unfortunately this business does not understand that part of life. I received a call notifying me that our pup would be ready in 30 minutes. The lady who called me had zero customer service skills. Her tone of voice was negative and impolite. My husband picked up our pup and he mentioned two ladies in the front were whispering to one another, which is so unprofessional for a business. Fortunately, we live in Dallas where there are plenty of other places we can choose to take our loving pup. I did the self-service bath thing here with my Brussels Griffon. They don't have a lot in the accessories department, so don't make a special trip for it! Dog food though is priced competitively. The employee was nice; gave me a quick tutorial of the place. They have the four kinds of shampoo, conditioner, and ear cleaner. They also have a fine tooth metal comb that was perfect for getting out those eye boogers. You also had a choice between a big, huge industrial dog hair dryers or a human one (I thought you weren't suppose to use a human dryer on a dog?). Bathing her was definitely much faster. I liked that I could wear a rubber apron and there were hooks to put her things. The water comes out cold at first, so let it run a min before hosing down your victim, er, dog. Again, the four kinds of shampoo (some apple kind, one hypoallergenic, and an insect repelling one [tea tree and lemongrass]) .....aaaand something else. Lavender? Ugh, so my note-taking while washing my dog sucks. Sue me. Although it was faster and easier than bathing her at home (our apartment is not blessed with detachable shower heads), I am not entirely convinced the weekday price tag of $10 was worth it (higher on weekends). I mean, I'm still bathing her myself and she's not much a hassle to bathe in the first place (fits right into the bathroom sink). read more

We've taken our two dogs to Urban Dogg now twice for full bath and grooming. Each time they have come out looking amazing and in a GREAT and happy mood! The level of service that's provided is excellent. The staff is always friendly...from greeting us at the door and petting each of our dogs, to taking care of them with love and attention while they're waiting for a haircut and putting a cute (not stupid) bandanna on each dog. Price wise, they are comparable to the salons at large chain groomers (PetsMart, PetCo, etc) but the environment the dogs are in is really what makes this place different. Its not chaotic...its not like 10-20 dogs all in cages barking and crying while waiting their turn. Its not disgruntled employees making a couple of buck above minimum wage to hurry up and get through with this dog...so they can get to the next. Simply put...its a healthy environment for your pet with an excellent service level to back it up. I've not taken advantage of their bath services, where you can bathe your dog for a small fee...but I can see myself taking them there in between haircuts for this service. They also offer a number of natural and holistic pet foods, to help keep your dog healthy and active for many years to come. This is really a good place to take your pet...and a good local store that deserves support. You and your four legged best friend should check them out. read more

Seems like the negative reviews so far have been from people who use their grooming service. However, I have had such a great experience with their self wash service. They provide the 4 different types of shampoo with wonderful scents that are mixed with the water in the hose so it is more efficient than spraying the water first then shampooing by hand. They also provide an ear cleaning solution that smells really clean. I swear my dog even smiles when he is being washed. Across from the washing station is the drying station with a blowdryer (not just a normal hair dryer you have at home) and brushes. Weekdays are a couple bucks cheaper, so definitely try to check it out on a weekday if you can. Cheaper than any other dog wash I have been to in Austin or Dallas. Such a relaxing experience for me and my pup. read more

I have been bringing my shihtzu here for about 6 years now. I went in on Friday the 18th to have him and my Morkie groomed and I specifically told them what I wanted done on them both. When I picked him up and my Morkie I found out that they decided to shave them down because that is what "we did last time" I told the owner that I was specific to what I wanted on both my dogs and disappointed that they decided to do whatever they wanted. This is not the first time this happens and I have let it slide because they always argue that my dogs are matted. Well this time I made sure they were brushed daily to avoid this situation and I here I am with 2 bald dogs and today after taking off the scarfs they always put on them I find a huge razor burn on my shihtzu's neck. ALSO THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME. But I have had it and have also had it with them just saying sorry it won't happen next time. Definitely won't be going here. I wanted a summer look for my Sheltie. I chose one length from their palette, the recommended another one to match the hair on his Tail. I did not realize they were going to shave him almost down to his skin. He was Sable colored and now looks gray. I would have thought they would have had knowledge of the breed and know never to go that short like every other groomer I've gone to. When I complained they only would offer a 15% discount off my next visit. Unacceptable when you consider his undercoat, which keeps him cool, may never totally grow back. Avoid this place. read more

This review is strictly based on our experience taking our dogs in for self-wash. We spent an afternoon over at Mutt's Cantina and rather than take the dogs home to bathe them in our tubs we figured we'd give this place a try. The woman who helped us out initially appeared to be new since she needed help checking us out and getting us set up at the dog wash stations. We have two small dogs and were able to get them in and washed in a short period of time. The dog wash area was dimly lit, in my opinion. There was little guidance provided from the staff, even though I was clearly nervous about doing it on my own for the first time. For $20 both our dogs were bathed and clean, which seemed worth the price. But then we were charged an extra $.99 each to spray the dogs with a calming scent, which I kind of felt should have been included in the entire experience. It's not a bad place to take the pups for a quick bath but don't think, based on appearances, I would leave my dogs alone in their care for grooming or a bath. read more
