I've been shopping here regularly since 2016 and it's my favorite thrift store in Temecula. They have a great selection of vintage clothes and more on-trend pieces. Their employees are friendly and helpful and their prices are fair, especially considering the time saved by not having to wade through a bunch of off-trend clothing like at larger thrift stores. My family has went in twice to try to sell our clothes here. We take very good care of our clothes and shoes. My mother and I went in with 2 boxes full of shoes probably about 30 and 3 bags of clothes and they took 1 pair of shoes and 1 shirt and refused everything else. They say they want designer things only so why is there forever 21 in the shop? I'm confused. At this point I'm starting to feel as tho black peoples items are not worthy enough for them. There is just no way because there were barely worn clothes and shoes. And they also turned my step dad down as well with leather coats. This is in response to pjetro g.'s response to my first rating. First of all, anyone reading this can clearly see how rude these owners are. I'd like to first address a statement pjetro made which is a lie. "ALL OF OUR EBAY ITEMS are for sale at Urban Exchange and are clearly marked and available for all of our customers. If an item is behind the counter and not available it's because it has already sold and is waiting for shipment." Bold faced lie because I was looking at some Coach purses you had listed on Ebay so I jetted down to your store only to find that NONE of them were on the floor for sale and they hadn't been sold on Ebay either. Also, pjetro, you don't have to explain to me how your business works or how much you spend per month. The people who visit your store don't care about your finances and how much you spend per month buying inventory. I also don't need a lesson on how to sell my personal items, although I thank you for the effort. I wasn't born yesterday and do have knowledge regarding resale as well as retail. The fact of the matter is that I've been to your store on many an occasion and NEVER see any of the things you have listed on Ebay for sale on the floor. Let me ask you this. If you buy something for 50% of your sales price and then list it in an auction on Ebay how do you even know how much you'll get once your listing has ended? Do you just estimate what it may sell for with your vast knowledge of how to sell second hand items? You're welcome for the link, by the way. Maybe someone will come on and see an item you gave them $10 for end up selling for $100 on Ebay or, better yet, the items you won't purchase but say you donate that mysteriously show up on your racks. It works both ways, you know. Also, you didn't even address the rude behavior of the woman behind the counter (which could very well be you). You seem to skirt this issue when replying to people and this has been mentioned by the majority of people reviewing you on Yelp as well as in the hidden reviews. She has absolutely no customer service skills and has an attitude like she's doing the customers a favor by letting them shop there. I sell my used items on Ebay now so that I can get at least 300% more than what you would give for them (that is, if you would even accept them). Nope, I still think Urban Exchange sucks. Too bad you couldn't take an honest, negative review like a (wo)man Maybe a better thing to do would have been to ask yourself why you only have 2 1/2 stars here on Yelp? You said you are a CHOICE (I bolded because that's what you did). Whether you are a choice or not, people deserve to know what they are in for if they choose to do business with Urban Exchange. That's what places like Yelp are for. Did you not realize that? Get a clue as to what your customers think of you and start making changes. Don't let the category fool you, they sell men's clothing here too. If you're not familiar with Urban Exchange, let me warn you that they sell used clothing here. The quality is leaps and bounds better than anything you'd find at the Salvation Army or Goodwill, but someone did wear it before you. Now speaking strictly for the men's offerings, there was just too much Billabong on the racks. I had no idea Billabong was that popular that people would buy so much of it. But I guess it isn't popular anymore because there's tons of it here. You won't really find any mid-level or high-end designers like Boss, Zegna or Tyrwhitt here. It's basic SoCal attire. My opinion of this place has drastically changed recently. I've been shopping here for months and have spent so much money. It is a little overpriced in my opinion, but it wasn't a big deal because I always found so many good things. Lately, I feel like the employees aren't as friendly, but still didn't let it bother me. Everything changed when I brought in a ton of clothes to sell and three employees were standing talking about personal stuff and they all 3 stopped and looked at me, so it was uncomfortable approaching them. A lot of stuff that i was trying to sell was bought directly from them. The offer was so low, it was completely unreasonable. One item was brand new and retails for $180, and they offered $14 for it LOL. I didn't expect for them to buy it from me anywhere close to $180, but i'm guessing they would sell it around $100 so maybe even $50ish for me. But $14?!?! I brought the clothes in folded neatly and they literally shoved everything back in the bag so it just didn't feel respectful towards my items. While I was shopping, I noticed clothes with defects but still being sold at higher prices. I have purchased a couple Lululemon workout pants from here around the $32 price range. There was a green pair of Lululemon leggings that had a hole in the front thigh and it was selling for $32. With them being a darker green, it was super obvious. Then I see Lululemon shorts that are made of legging material and there was so much puling between the legs, they looked really worn and the shorts were still selling for like $25 I believe? Just this whole experience of an incredibly low offer, the staffing, and then seeing items overpriced just really changed everything for me. I went a few weeks later to their monthly sale and just felt uninterested and I literally didn't buy a single thing. It's just not the same for me anymore. read more

Please don't waste your time on this place. Some clothes are really torn up and they're still expensive. You're better off going somewhere else and getting it brand new at pretty much the same price. After lunch with friends I decided to stroll into Urban Exchange to look for a dress and browse. There were just 3 employees, myself and what I believe to be a lost prevention associate or just a very creepy older woman following my every move. I started looking through a rack in the front of the store in a tight corner which would be akward for two strangers to shop the surrounding racks.... but of course this strange woman gets right next to me! I go to another side of the area and there she is again! I found a dress I liked, grabbed it and headed to the very opposite side of the store. There was a dress rack on the back wall of the store. I felt someone staring at me, low and behold--- there she was, the creepy lady with darker hair and her flannel wrapped around her waist yet again! Complete opposite side of the store and here she is making a beeline for the rack I was shopping. So I turn and there is another rack, start shopping that one and suddenly she's interested in the rack I'm at--- no surprise right? Talk about creepy! I know this may not be everyone's experience here and I realize there could be a creep lurking anywhere but this was a bit intrusive and counter productive for business if this is how "loss prevention" operates. I had a dress in one hand and other hand was looking through clothes, so I was clearly there to pay for the items I liked not take them. I left quickly out of irritation from this woman following me. I called to ask if she was gone and told the little girl who answered the phone what had happened. She rudely said "so I guess we'll see you in a few since she is not here"... seriously that's all you can say with a sarcastic attitude like I was out of line for feeling swallowed whole by another patron (I still think she was loss prevention)? Terrible place to try and sell your name brand items. My stuff was all name brand, as new. DO NOT-waste your time. Sell your stuff on Ebay, Offerup, ect.
