    Hot Mess Chicken Sandwich
    Olga H.

Cute little place where you can get your own coffee and the menu is pretty diverse. I was impressed with their sandwiches because they have a lot of interesting combos. Metered street parking is available. The crack and mac is excellent. The sauce was described and sweet and spicy, but not spicy at all. Portions are generous. All sandwiched come with fries or onion rings and man, do they hook it up with the onion rings! I had the hot mess chicken sandwich because it came wih an ape slaw, and that sounded interesting because otherwise I hate coleslaw. It was good and messy. Would come back.

Wings, far is the crack sauce and near is the hot Buffalo

We liked trying this new to us brunch spot in Kingston! Definitely has a humble homey feeling in the space and the food gives heavy comfort (aka food coma) vibes as well. Service was lovely. We tried the wings to start and while I understand the hype in the crack sauce (yummmmm), we really disliked the Buffalo hot wings. The Buffalo sauce was thick and almost like a tomato sauce? It wasn't our cup of tea personally but definitely heavy on the sauce which I always appreciate. I had a French toast flight with 4 flavors: strawberry shortcake, s'mores, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and pb+j. HUUUge portion size and super sweet/decadent but I think the only flavor profile that was super special/unique and not just topping placed on regular French toast was s'mores. My partner had the chicken and waffles which was good! His only complaint was wanting more chicken to waffle ratio.

Best place in Kingston hands down!! I these portions are huge!! I couldn't decide between sweet or savory for brunch so I got both smores French toast and chicken n waffles with gravy. Let me tell u I had leftovers for days. Omg the chicken was sooo good!!! Everything was delicious!! Must go to when in Kingston!! The service (sue) is amazing as well!

I liked the vibe, decor, location, and music, and while our server was very sweet and attentive, unfortunately both the coffee and food were underwhelming. The iced coffee was only about 2/3 full in a tiny glass and the breakfast BLT didn't taste fresh. Hopefully just an off day!

We went for Brunch, and the food was incredible! BELTA, Banana bread French-toast with a side of well done sausage (requested that way!) and the Lipsmacker! You will be stuffed until dinner! Coffee is strong, service is great, it's a total win-win for Brunch!!!

6 Apple/Maple wings (left) and 6 Mild Buffalo (it still has a kick!)

We walked in at around 2:00 pm to an empty restaurant and we asked if they were open and they were! We had a lovely time with our waitress who's name I didn't get but she gets 5 stars as well. The menu was small but was basically chicken sandwiches, a shrimp sandwich, wings, and a few salads. Our wonderful server gave us a sheet with the explanation of each sandwich. Wow! It was varied and went from plain (for all you chicken originalists) to unusual (Figgy Chicken). They have a drink menu as well as soft drinks. I ordered the Crack Chicken Sandwich (fried chicken piece dipped in their special batter and fried, aoli, lettuce and tomato. It also comes with fries or onion rings. My husband ordered 12 wings. 6 with apple/maple and 6 with mild buffalo. No sides came with his but I never eat all mine so we'd share. Our drinks came right away with waters. I ordered a glass of Ecco Domaine Rose and hubby ordered Dead Rabbit ale. Both were excellent. About 15 minutes later our meals arrived and our eyes popped! Husband had 12 hearty wings divided into two bowls. Mine was a nice sized sandwich with the fries. We were both pretty impressed! My chicken was not overcooked and the crack sauce was heavenly! Not spicy but definitely has a kick of garlic. Fries were perfect-spiced a bit. The wings must have been really good because I didn't hear a word from my husband until he was done! He highly recommends the apple/maple! No room for dessert though! I want to try their brunch next as the menu looks amazing .Thanks guys for making us feel welcome.

Owner is extremely unprofessional, hostile when faced with constructive criticism. Tacky and insensitive product names, poor location.

This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

Lovely space with fantastic food! Lots of different textures and flavors. Service was good and felt…read morewell taken care of.

The decor, from the booths to the lampshades, seem like they haven't changed in decades and are in excellent condition. The tables have tops that have obviously been replaced at some point, as they aren't the expected laminate, but otherwise it's like going back in time. We were looking for a traditional breakfast place open on a weekday (rather than a bagel shop or a place that only sells breakfast sandwiches), and this fit the bill. Service was efficient and attentive. They have a large array of menu items, but we both chose to get the breakfast burrito, without the meat. There was a bit too much potato inside for our taste, but others may prefer it that way. The side of salsa that came with it was delicious and made up for any lack of seasoning when we removed the salty meat. We would return when looking for a traditional diner with a large variety of choices.

I had the manager come over and an old lady came and I told her my pork was hard as a rock and I was showing her with the fork and she had the nerve to say "Well we have to cook it" And basically walked away! They should of 110% took it off the bill!! The one night I ordered open hot turkey sandwich and the gravy was boiling (literally) I had a burn on my finger for two weeks! It's definitely gone down hill-sad because I've been going there for many-many years!! Andy u should talk to your managers!! Not cool! First time they didn't hand us the bill- the brought it up to the register smh -
