My coworker recommended I try out Urban Oasis after getting her hair done. I made an appointment with Soda and she was amazing! She was fast on highlights and I loved her energy, so sweet and funny. All around a great experience!

Three times, and you're out. That's how many chances I gave Soda before writing this post. I do have to say she did refund some of my money, but when you waste your time sitting in a chair for what seems like hours only to find out what you have been given has to be fixed at greater cost and with more of your valuable time. My 18 year old went to her for a dye job that she was not experienced enough to do. Instead of telling my daughter that she did not know how to do it, she proceeded to give her the hair in the picture with the roots. At the cost of $190.00! Daughter paid, left, came home, and cried. She went back the next day to be told it looked fine. She didn't want to be confrontational and changed gears. The next "job" was to go platinum. That cost another $40.00. She walked out, not platinum, but pale yellow and that had to be fixed by another salon.. If that wasn't enough, I went in for cut and color (3 times you're out, remember). I will let the photos explain my experience. The tiger stripes, and hack job can be yours for the low low price of $70.00 So lets do the math: $190 cut and color $20 tip $40 "repair" on the second visit $70 tiger stripes _______ $320 total - $210 refund _______ $110 EXPENSIVE LESSON This has been a public service announcement. You're welcome.

Ask the Community - Urban Oasis Salon

    How much is the acrylics?

    I don't know, I get a hair cut.

    Do you provide body-wave perms?

    Yes we do

Do they do liquid/ hard/ builder gel?

    Do you do eyelash extensions?

Sorry, we don't do eyelash extension.

Hi,was wondering how much a ombré hair color would be without a cut. just dying caramel ombré?

How about I give you a special deal $100

Do you need to make a reservation or do they accept walk ins?

Walk ins usually ok, what do you need?

Has anyone had a "new perm" from this salon? I am looking for someone in the area that is doing the new perm ... not the old strong chemical perms.

Thanks Joni, sorry we do not do the 'new' perms at this time, if we start that service I'll let you know

Scheduling an appointment with this nail salon was very easy, which I liked. They had great reviews…read moreso I was excited to try them. I got a full Gel X set with design. The tech, who I'm assuming is the owner or at least the manager was very nice and did a fantastic job. Fast forward to 3 days later and 5 nails have cracks in the tips. I called and let the person who answered know. She asked when I wanted to come in to fix them? She didn't sound surprised, she wasn't apologetic, nothing. I wasn't extra hard on my nails I did normal every day stuff I do. Because Gel X is a softer tip I can understand if a tip was too narrow for my nail bed and it cracked from that but 5 nails?! I told her I would be there first thing in the morning when they opened. I got to the salon when it opened. The man was very nice and did a great job replacing the 5 nails. About 30 minutes later the lady who originally did my nails came in. After the man was done she asked him a question about my nails. Even though it wasn't in English I knew because he shook his hair and pointed to the top of his nail. He repeated himself a couple times and kept pointing to his finger so I can only assume he was reiterating that my nails were cracked. The station I was told to sit at when I had to go back was dirty from the day before. Clipped tips were all over the floor, the towel from the day before was on the station with clippings and acrylic drops. The tools from both visits were not clean and rusty. The nail brushes to wash your nails were all first and has that reddish algae that builds up at the base. I gave 2 stars because the man to redid my nails was very nice! I will definitely not be going back to that salon.

$$$ Watch for hidden fees…read more I chose a "classic pedicure" which was listed as $38. When I checked out the total was $59.16. Over $20 for GEL (I brought my own) I tipped, so my $38 pedicure was $70.16 total. I don't mind paying higher prices for a spa-like experience. This just... wasn't that :/

I just want to start off by saying I love this place. I lived in Tacoma from 2021-2024 and went to…read moreLa Bella for two year straight and never had a bad experience. I recently moved back this month and started going back to La Bella. I got my nails done May 15th at 6pm and got a full set of builder gel nails. This was my first time ever getting builder gel and I liked the outcome and had a good experience. The only complaint I have is that my appointment was at 6pm and they close at 7pm and I could tell they fully rushed my nail process. They got the entire set done in 45 minutes. I understand they were closing soon but they shouldn't accept appointments that late if they plan to rush the client out of the place. A few days into the nails and they started to lift. Wednesday the 20th two nails popped off perfectly with little effort. Almost every single other nail was lifting at the cuticle, my hair was getting caught in them and they were painfully lifting and I knew they wouldn't last much longer. I called La Bella today the 20th (so I only had the nails on for 6 days, to my knowledge builder gel can last up to 3-5 weeks). I called La Bella today asking for an appointment to get them fixed. The hostess that answered the phone was very nice and she told me they would most likely fix the nails for free because that was not supposed to happen. I went in tonight around 5pm at my scheduled appointment and I asked for dip nails instead because dip is what I was used to and I know they last. I was happy with my appointment the nail tech seemed to take her time and I loved my new nails. But I was very annoyed when I checked out when they tried to charge me the full price of dip nails which was 65 dollars. I asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation. He told me it was not acceptable that the nails only lasted 6 days. He said he would charge me $45 instead. I didn't fight or fuss and I paid the full price. I am extremely annoyed there was no communication that the previous hostess told me the nails would be on the house and I feel like as a business they should've fixed their mistake. I fully planned on tipping my nail tech a good tip for redoing my nails and ensuring they were a good set. I don't know if I will be back to La Bella because of this experience and it saddens me because I truly love this place.
