I received a a haircut and partial foil. The ladies were all very nice and the atmosphere was great. Parking is metered but they "validate"- I use this term loosely b/c I got a parking ticket. The employees reassured me that this wouldn't happen and I gave them my info, called afterwards as well but I was told that my information was never entered and I was responsible for this ticket. As far as my hair- Jazlyn, completely destroyed my hair! She cut my hair so badly that I'm still wearing hats after 1.5 months later. I had another stylist look at my color and was told my color is missing sections in the back... I paid $260 + tip. I tried to contact the owner Kasey but no response. I had Jenna working on my hair, and she was an absolute charming person. Super sweet, and gentle with my hair, I wasn't nervous at all, (I'm very picky when it comes to my hair) but she made me feel comfortable, she explained step by step what she was doing. And answered all my questions about different products to try. She's super sweet and lovely, I heard one of the customers give her a nickname "giggle box" cuz you can hear her laugh the whole time.. HORRIBLE!! My mom came to get her hair done by Carissa or whatever and She came For a highlight she wanted it gold and carissa totally did what SHE wanted to Do!! It came Out way blonder than expected and not only That but she Insisted on cutting her hair when She clearly told Her no, Carissa and Kasey insisted on cutting 3 inches saying it would be healthier which obviously She knew but still wanted her Length no matter what they thought and she went ahead and cut it not Only 3 inches but way more about 7 inches, at the moment my mom said she had noticed that the stylist burnt her hair and tried to hide the fact that she did.. a couple times during her appointment Carissa went to another hairstylist to mix her colors for her as if maybe she didn't know or they put too much product in the mix that burnt her hair but I took her to get a consultation from another hairstylist the same day and they said that they burnt her hair! She had her hair Almost down to her butt now it's below her shoulders! It took her so long for it to grow! She and I are both So sad and upset that She was NOT considered and She even paid full price .. She said she will never go back. All of your staff need better training on customer service on how to DO HAIR ESPECIALLY... and how to have common listening skills.. I have been putting off a haircut and brow wax since moving to Tacoma a year ago because I am so picky about these things. I decided to go out on a limb and book a brow wax and haircut here with Hannah and she far exceeded any expectations I had. had a terrible experience at a different salon, I went in to go back to my old platinum colored hair and they left me splotchy from my last color, and muddy blonde. I don't know how somebody can mess it up that bad. But these girls let me come in on such short notice, went through the entire process and fixed my hair to be better than it ever was. plus! pricing was cheaper than what my hair originally cost to bleach and dye in my old salon. The fact that the prices are good and the experience is even better was mind blowing to me. Every single girl in there was the most friendly person to talk to (specifically jenna and elyssa), everything smells good and for the first time ever; getting my hair done in a salon didn't hurt. Usually salons bleach will burn my scalp and leave me feeling raw for a couple days, but this bleach left my scalp feeling healed, if that's even possible LMAO. It was probably the best experience I've ever had in the salon and I even made a future appointment. I feel bad about leaving my salon but it's time to move on to better hair products. This was my first time coming here, and I literally had no complaints. I am usually very nervous about getting my hair cut by unfamiliar people, but coming to this place was probably one of the best decisions I've made for myself. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist. She had me sit in the waiting area to fill out first timer paperwork which I finished in about two minutes. Afterwards, my stylist, Shae, came over to greet me. Let me tell y'all, she was P H E N O M E N A L! I walked in here not knowing what kind of hair I wanted, just that it look healthy and full. Shae did just that, and a little more. It truly felt like I was talking with a best friend; that's how comfortable I was with her! Becca helped me to express my feelings of being in a bit of a self care, same hair funk by suggesting I experiment with some color. As a man with no hair on top of my head, there isn't much of a reason I would visit a solon, but I visit this one monthly to have the back of my neck sugar waxed. I find that this allows me to NOT have to maintain that area with a razor weekly, and the hair has grown back slower and less dense. I feel that the intaglio salon is marketed as "high end" meaning well trained colorists and hair stylists. Really not the case. Upon arrival, no one at the desk, No robe and colorist was 20 minutes late. I had a short consultation with the colorist (not going to name names since I think this applies to everyone who works here) who seemed clueless as to how I wanted my color. I showed her many photos with what I want and what I don't want. I have dark brown hair and i wanted a few balayage pieces. Seems like an easy job right? Not the impression I got. She seemed to brush if off as "we can..like..sort of get you there..ok?" And just walked off to mix her bleach without further consulting. I specifically told her my hair doesn't budge without heat and to my surprise, I looked around and realized there was no heat lamps. I felt like I wasn't being heard so I literally ran out of there. Literally, ran. Don't go here unless you want a touch up on your greys. read more

I went into the salon needing a full foil and Balayage to get the ashy, blonde effect I was going for. Kasey did work! Knowing that it would take a long time, I was glad to find out that the salon had a very fun atmosphere, and yet I was able to read my book whenever I wanted to as well. The ladies in there were always checking up on me (coffee, water, hot chocolate, even offering to call Jimmy Johns if I were hungry) and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. Kasey paid so much attention to detail, going through practically every strand of my (pretty damaged) hair in order to get the best color possible without compromising the integrity of my hair. It was well worth it. My hair turned out wonderful and the much needed cut, was perfect. 5 Golden Stars! Hands down!! Kayleen was AMAZING!! From the moment you walk in the door, they treat you like royalty. I was offered 3 treatments that were all included in my visit today (i.e. neck and head massage, warm face towels, hand massage, etc). They also have a variety of teas and coffee. When Kayleen asked me what hair color I had in mind, I was afraid that she was going to talk me out of it. I came in with dark brown hair and a few bayalage highlights. I wanted to lighten it up quite a bit. When showing her a picture of the hair color I wanted, she took the time to work out a game plan and set the expectations. She did not try to defend what happened nor did she try to take away my truth; instead she reassured me that coaching conversations would occur with those involved to ensure no other guests were treated like that. 3. To my surprise, she reached out 4 months later acknowledging that she still remembers me and offered again to provide her services. I took her up on it and went to see her today, and I feel like her magical touch has uplifted my spirit. I LOVE my hair! The meticulousness she possesses, the in depth explanation of the products she's selected, the complimentary scalp, neck and hand massages were spectacular, and I was able to meet other members of her team. Today's experIence rectified the perceptions I developed and it is clear that one person's mistake and treatment towards me is not indicative of how other stylists at the salonn treat their guests. Will be coming here for all of my waxing needs from now on! I'm surprised that I hadn't come across this place sooner. I usually go to Bellevue for all of my waxes, but I was in a bit of a hurry and found this place. I was able to get in within the same day and the staff was great. I was given a mini hand massage while waiting to be brought back. The entire experience was super comfortable and not awkward at all. I like that they use Aveda products and the haircut was great but man did the stylist not know what to do with my curly hair when it came to styling. First, they were out of the curly hair gel that Aveda has and ALL Aveda salons have used on my hair. She used some other product that has never been used on my hair. She then proceeded to diffuse my hair with the blow dryer and made it very frizzy. She then turns on a curling iron to curl just the top of my head where all the frizz is. I walked out with hair that was frizzy, flat on the top and half diffused / curled on the bottom...... Very nice girl and conversation but maybe some more education on styling and working with curly hair might suffice. It appears based on most reviews they typically work with straight, fine hair. read more

Brittney is a great hair stylist. She listens to what her customers want and takes pride in her work. Brittney has only been with the company for a couple of months but she does have 15 years of experience. I did a cut and balayage and my hair came out beautiful! It's a bit pricey but for the work I want done, it's worth it. Especially with a great hair stylist at your back. Kasey (the owner) ensures all her customers are happy and seems family oriented. The place is welcoming, but is a bit dark in the reception area, however there is lighting where it needs to be. Prices for extra products are pricey as well, but I'm thinking it's because of the brand they carry. I've never been one to go to a salon, so everything is pretty new to me and I'm basing my decisions on prices/products solely on one other salon I went to 3 years ago that did a horrific job on me. I like this salon.. hair stylists are all friendly and good conversationalists. I'm not the type but I will ask questions here and there. Pros: Brittney is a great hair stylist. She listens to what her clients want, aims to please and is very friendly and accommodating. She loves her profession and it shows in her work. I am happy with my haircut and style. I do want to go lighter so in a couple weeks i'll be heading back. Brittney has found a loyal customer in me. Cons: They asked me to choose up to 3 complimentary services: i only chose one massage, but NEVER got one. Please don't advertise if you guys aren't doing it! Also they offered me water or tea. DO NOT drink the water. Its sink water in a small glass. And it was warm. Disappointed about that. If you are going to offer water please offer bottled water or have a vending machine so customers can buy their own. **UPDATE** 03/14/16 I did not know that your hair stylist was in charge of these complimentary services. When I initially wrote this review my hair was black (trying to go blonde) and Brittney had to do a lot of work to get it as light as I wanted it. Because of this, she didn't have time to offer me a massage (4 hour job). Second time around, she did offer a massage (2hour job). I was asking too many questions and feel that she was preoccupied about answering everything correctly that she didn't really do a good job of massaging. I think the company should NOT offer any complimentary services.. let the hair stylists do their job with taking care of our hair. Too many responsibilities on a persons plate will cause mistakes and lead to unhappy customers (like Debbie M below). I'm fine going into a salon just to get my hair done... that's all anyone goes into a salon for right? Otherwise, the massage (while she tried) was mediocre and tea that i asked for was the same. I really debated over writing this review, but 2 weeks later and it's still bothering me. I came in to get my hair and makeup done before our engagement photos. They thankfully were able to accommodate me on short notice. The appointment was for 10am, which worried me since we our photos weren't till 4pm (I told them that) that my hair and makeup wouldn't last, but they assured me, "Don't worry, it won't go anywhere." I took the appointment, thankful that they could take me on short notice. And better still, it was about 2/3 the cost of other people I'd inquired with. We had a consultation 2 days prior, brought pictures of both hair and makeup, expressed my hair struggles - my fine, thin hair needs a TON of product to have any texture or volume. Was assured it would be no problem. The result though was, to put it kindly, disappointing. My hair was flat and lifeless before I even left the salon, and my makeup was applied so poorly it was shocking. Hair and makeup were done by 2 different people, both were very nice. The makeup person did a great job color-matching my skin, and the subtle contouring she did looked great. However, no primer was used on either my face or eyes, no setting spray, lipstick was completely lopsided and outside the lines, and the eyeliner was totally crooked. It was truly embarrassing. To be fair, I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to hurt their feelings or for them to try to fix it. If they thought how I looked when I left there was good, they would not be able to fix it in a way I would be happy with. I paid and left, and before I even got home (10 min away), my foundation had already creased on my face and I looked 15 years older. When my sister saw me, the look on her face said it all - it was BAD. And to top it off, I got a parking ticket for parking too long on the street after they assured me I was "totally fine!" parking there and I'd be out of there in time! More money wasted. Everyone was very nice, and perhaps other services there are great, but this was a huge disappointment and waste of money for me. Something that was supposed to make me feel extra special for a special, memorable occasion just make me feel bad about myself. I went into this salon really hoping to like it. the people and atmosphere are really nice but my hair stylist completely ruined my hair. I went in asking for a beachy highlighted look (i'll attach pictures) and came out with a multicolored, uneven mess. I left the salon in tears and when i asked to come in and get it fixed they wanted to charge me another huge amount of money! i spent $289 to get my hair completely butchered. I ended up going somewhere else and cutting off about 4-5 inches of hair because it was so fried at the end of all of this. Please, save your money and go elsewhere. read more

This place is great! I can't believe I didn't get my hair cut here before! I've had mixed experience with my hair in the past so when I saw a ton of good reviews for this place I decided I had to check it out. I almost didn't get my hair cut here, but the receptionist (who I didn't get the name of, sorry!) actually inquired with one of the stylists if they could pencil me in. The rest is history! The person who cut my hair was Shae, and I have to say that out of anyone who has ever styled my hair, I have never actually gotten this amount of feedback about my hair. That alone was worth this review because going to a place that is just snip-snip-done doesn't always get the job done right. On top of all of the feedback, I was treated to way more in my haircut than I was expecting (massage, hot towel, washing, etc) and the price was basically the same that I paid at anywhere else.
