Zumiez - Women's Clothing Near Me - Torrance, California

Wasnt sure if these people were workers, but i had got a piece of clothing to try on and someone helped me out. They took me to the fitting rooms and banged on the door to make sure no one was in there (im sure all workers do that). So then i try it on and want to show my partner and i open the door to look for them. Then theres a group of young boys standing around and one of them kept saying hi to me i was confused and went back into my changing room. As i change back the same kid who was saying hi to me is banging on the door hard louder than i can yell. So i open the door to leave as i was finished changing and the boys outside were mocking me but they were standing around like they were workers. I assumed that he was a worker because he was banging on my door the way the previous worker that helped me did. Mind you that same kid who was knocking on my door had just seen me peek out the room and go back in. So he knew i was there but chose to try to mess with me and scare me. I do not recommend this location if those are the workers. Very disrespectful and childish. read more

Went to return pants and was told they couldn't take them because they were "dirty with stains and dog " when i've never worn them, they were in the package they sent me the whole time and I don't even own a dog. Hudson was super helpful when it came to the skate board. I'm totally a beginner and got a cheap beginners board on Amazon first. Then my friend recommended me to go to Zumiez. I'm glad that I came here. Hudson showed me different types of boards and the purposes with metaphor and showing me YouTube videos. If you go to Zumiez I would recommend heading to the Galleria. This store particular store has poor The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in the beginning of December. The store Had many employees that were stocking or Folding. One employee was yelling at several Others so I assume she was the manager. Not One person greeted any shoppers or offered any help. The only cashier was busy helping another customer with a search for a pair of shoes online. I waited in line for 5 minutes, without any recognition. I walked into the Zumiez with my brother and my friend who had a handcrafted shoulder bag. One of the store employees (I believe the manager) immediately started following us around the store. I felt as though it was very racist considering that my brother and I were Black. We felt very uncomfortable that the employee was following, and therefore left. The employee immediately stopped us as we were exciting and asked to check me and my friends purse and assumed we stole something. I understand we may have been checked for precautions, BUT IT WAS STILL UNEXCEPTIONABLE ! I have shopped here in the past a lot for my son. he likes the t-shirts. So I went the other day. Being a lifetime skateboarder myself I like it that he wants to wear skate brands and is getting into skateboarding. I went November 2nd around 11:00am, this was my experience. All I wanted was a couple t's, maybe a hat, and a new Thrasher magazine if it was in. I walked in, and was greeted by Kanye West music blasting over the speakers with very explicit language. you know the song, where he claims to have made Taylor Swift famous. You've heard it, probably hate it. Either way, it was just all F-bombs that seemed weird to me in a mall setting. Especially when you walk into this mall (del amo) and are greeted by a large sign about mall conduct and etticut. if your going to play music here, it should be skate punk. Or go sell other stuff. All that really wasn't such a big deal but it goes to show how little this management cares about this store. As well it shows that this is not a real skate shop. Just a cookie cutter mall rat store that sells ls what they think might be trendy. Should probably sell emoji pillows instead of Thrasher. Here is where it really went bad. I walked in, found a new Thrasher magazine. Went to the t-shirts and picked up 3 for my son and even found myself a new hat. I was in this store for over 10 minutes. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE ON THE FLOOR THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE. NOBODY TO TAKE MY MONEY. NOBODY TO HELP WITH ANYTHING. I could've just walked out with arms full of stuff. I didn't, but this store is jacked. I don't get it. Zumiez, I see disaster in your future. I would seriously think about new management here. I will be more strict with my shopping. One of the most disorganized stores that I've been to. All of the fitting rooms were locked but nobody was around to open them. So we were all waiting around thinking someone's using them. Kat had such great customer service and she helped me out with what i needed. I bought a product from this store and it had a defect so I tried to return it to the store. They would not refund it for me because I wore it once and dry cleaned it. The other t shirt I bought was perfectly fine. Apparently, in order to return an item it has to be in perfect condition and cannot be worn once. How am I supposed to know if I want to keep the product if I dont try it? The manager literally told me to call the product supplier myself and complain to them. Horrible customer service. I don't like to write reviews and I don't like to shop at malls but today a newer employee checked me out and she was lovely. She asked if I needed a bag and I said no bc I don't like bags. On the way out another young lady probably the manager or something started asking me questions and I didn't realize she thought I was stealing until she asked for my receipt which I did not have because I don't need it. When she realized I had bought the item she told me to ask for the receipt in the bag next time. I got a little attitude with her and she got a little attitude with me. I know it left me feeling bad and I'm sure it didn't make her day any better. Idk if she will ever read this but if u do girl I forgive you and I hope that we can all come to realize that we are underpaid and overworked by companies like zumiez and that stealing a pair of shorts is not serious enough to have these negative interactions about. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a pair of pants here yesterday, tried to exchange them today for a different size and was REFUSED. First, not sure if it had to do with the fact that I am a young black woman, but the cashier asked me, "Were these in your car?" I replied yes that I'd bought them yesterday. He proceeded to tell me he thought they smelt like a swisher to him and he wouldn't return them today, but MAYBE if I come back in a few days. The claim was outrageous I am a full time nursing student who doesn't smoke -__-. Tried to call Torrance store for assistance they said to head over so I drove all the way there. Once I arrive they tell me the same thing and the manager, without smelling them I might add, tells me yes she agrees they smell like a swisher. Outraged I left the store and took down both managers names. Really disappointing. Will not be returning to Zumies ever again. Truly appalled at how adamant they were about a mere assumption-- where's your customer service. 95% sure I wouldn't have been hassled like this if I had been a white girl. annoying. read more
