Very disappointed. I had engagement photos on Saturday and needed a spray tan. I usually always go to sugar and bronze because they have good spray tans and even better customer service. You aren't going to get that here. I got my spray tan and it was half the session time as sugar and bronze. I had to ask the lady to actually go down to my calves because i was getting half sprays from her just standing and misting my legs. The biggest thing about spray tans is my face spray going away. I asked the technician In the beginning, If my spray tan comes off on my face, can i come back just for a quick spray that next evening. She said i would need to come before 745 on Friday (they close at 8) but it would be best to come back sat morning. I got off work early on Friday so I called. The owner said they had a microblading Session going on tonight and all day until 3 pm sat (although the lady working there originally told me they are setting up for the microblading apt for the next day, so sounds like there wasn't any current sessions happening, they just didn't want to have to re-set up). First off, who wants to get their eyebrows microbladed in an area where spray tans are conducted? That is asking for an infection. And second, have a little more customer service if you can't accommodate. Sugar and bronzed would have never told me it was ok to come in And then tell me otherwise. Sugar and bronzed also doesn't do a tattoo on the face in the same room as spray tans.... This isn't any other Friday night spray tan, these are my engagement photos so I'm very disappointed and do not recommend this place. Next time I'll be going back to sugar and bronzed. On a last minute search I booked Urban Tanz on Friday 24th November for my wedding the following day. Firstly the young lady helping me was SO AMAZING! She was so patient when originally I booked three tans (bridesmaids) then ended up messing her around back and fourth. She was so patient with me. Then when I arrived, she was very friendly and professional. This was my first spray tan, so really gave me so much advice - she even called me later to check how it was turning out. Asked about how scheduling an appointment works if you buy a package since you can't call them. I was told you have to pay for a single session online and then it would be refunded to you. To break it down you pay them, to pay them again, to wait to be refunded. The prices for a single session have gone up significantly; it costs about $40 for 10 minutes for the least powerful bed. Needless to say it all feels vaguely intentional. To make matters worse, the Jersey shore left over working there with the lowbrow attitude was enough to have me happily walk around pale AF for the rest of the summer. Dear Toyota, Yes, that's funny, the sun is free. I was going to ask if you were aware of that, since you're in the market of selling it. It would make sense then to not be so wildly unpleasant, no? Listen, I watched you get haughty with everyone in your salon. Maybe you're not cut out for the service industry. Your phone lines are not available for scheduling appointments. Kindly confirm, because I don't appreciate having my words twisted. Yes, your business model is strange and feels predatory. Paying for an appointment in advance is not unheard of, I have no issue doing so. Paying a lump sum for a package and then paying again for a single session because you refuse to take apointments over the phone is intentional. You could solve this by 1.) obviously, picking the phone up (seriously, how busy are you?) 2.) Don't require people to pay to schedule an appointment (if you take walk-in's as you reminded me, than what's the difference?) 3.) Use a B2C interface that manages your customer's accounts. You're a business owner, it's your job to think of these things and I find it hard to believe no one else ever thought it was utter nonsense. Also, to be perfectly honest, you don't strike me as someone who wouldn't just abscond with $40. Yes, your prices did go up. Your beds look like they've changed from last season. If there was a cost increase because of this, I'm not mad at It. However, I was absolutely not paying anywhere near $40 last summer. I checked my emails to make sure I'm not the one making things up. Lastly, I never insulted your staff; ONLY YOU. Most of my interactions with your staff were, dare I say... pleasant. You seem to not be able to take any criticism lady. Again, why the hell are you in the service industry? P.S thanks for reminding me of the benefits of UV light. Now let me remind you that too much causes cancer, which is what you are. I had bought a package of five tans before heading down to South America. The place is clean and they do have a descent range of beds. However, the way I was treated by the work staff was unacceptable. At the end of my fourth session, I applied some regular lotion to my legs after I was finished tanning. I had gotten very dry after the session and just wanted to moisturize a bit. I went to the bathroom and before heading out saw the girl with a mop huffing and puffing while mopping the floor in the room I had just left. I thought is was weird since I knew I hadn't gotten anything on the floor ( I used a small airplane carry-on size bottle of moisturizer and left it in the garbage) I quickly said "have a nice day" and she turned around and started yelling at me! She said I had gotten lotion "all over the floor" and that I was not allowed to use outside lotion. (It wasn't tanning lotion I used it was regular lotion AFTER I tanned) She then told me she would "test" the bed to see if I used it in there and that I would have to pay for damages to the tanning bulbs. I was so taken back. I was so embarrassed and didn't even want to return for my last session. Later in the week I called in advance to see who was working and went when she wasn't there. When I signed in the lady told me there was a note next to my name saying something to the extent "used outside lotion" implying to "check" me. I will NEVER come back here after being made to feel this way over nothing. I am a business owner myself with a very prominent following and I would never treat a client this way. read more

The woman asked me if I wanted to do a 30 minute express tan and I agreed but she did not express to me the tan alone is $90 without tax and tup. A bit disappointed at the lack of transparency here. The staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, kind and willing to answer any and all questions. I usually do the Open Sun laydown bed which I love and it leaves my skin with a perfect bronze look. I am left with no burning or redness. The quality beds are kept up very well and always clean.
