I was very happy with the atmosphere here and I will definitely be coming back. It was not the best coffee I have ever had. I got a drip coffee and one of the coffees that they had there was delicious but the other had a very weird aftertaste in my opinion. I got the ham and cheese croissant and I was very pleased with how flakey and flavorful the pastry was. The ham is rolled up in the center of the croissant with the cheese in the center of the ham, making it so that every bite doesn't necessarily have the ham and cheese but it is still delicious. I came here to get a bit of work done and I use my mobile hotspot everywhere so the no wifi was not a massive deal to me. There is not a ton of seating inside so I was a bit worried to find a spot when I walked in but luckily a group left when I got my cup of coffee so I took their spot. read more

Stopped in for a quick coffee before a Christmas performance. Granted, it was not morning, but it was almost impossible to order something. The milk choices were: oat milk, almond milk, whole milk and whipping cream. They didn't even have half and half for a drip coffee! There's a Kroger store 2 miles away, and you would think the manager would have a plan for when the supplies run low. I am not sure if it is trying to drive "working/studying at coffee shop people" away but at least tell me you dont have wifi so I dont have to awkwardly chug my coffee and find another place to work. We felt that earlier reviews were misleading. Only 3 pastry selections, scones, banana bread and one other. The banana bread was good, the scone my wife had was very average and the other scone in the case has a bug walking on it. Coffee was decent. Atmosphere was okay. We went here based on previous reviews, and found nothing amazing or "on point" and no selections like the ones pictured. The things I love about Urbana in Pendleton haven't changed with this new location in East Walnut Hills. The coffee is delicious, pastries are irresistible (I end up with a pistachio croissant every time no matter how much I tell myself I won't get one), and the baristas are always pleasant and friendly. I love the decor and vibe of the new location as well, even if there is slightly less seating than hoped for. However, I'm really heartbroken by the lack of wifi at this location. I get the vibe the place is going for in regards to getting us millennials off our computers and phones but the truth is that I live in the East Walnut Hills area and use coffee shops to get out of the house and study. TLDR; great place to get a coffee and a treat while out on a walk or while running errands in the area, not a great place to get stuff done read more

Such a cute gem for the East Walnut Hills area! Love that I can walk here on the weekends. Baristas were very knowledgeable. I ordered a macchiato and the barista asked me if I would like a "Starbucks" Verizon or a true version. I went for the true macchiato, which was so tasty. The treats looked super yummy as well! We went to the opening day of the new location on Woodburn Street in East walnut hills. The space is beautiful and minimalist which I admire and prefer. The customer service was helpful and extremely friendly without being intrusive. I got the Cafe Frizzante, a perfectly poured shot with that oh so sought after crema, with a hint of citrus aromatics, and sparkling water. Refreshing, caffeinated and earthy! Yes please! Very cool location, I'm new to the neighborhood and like the vibe of Urbana. I've been there 4 times and every time I get a very long wait and the same exact tasting glass of milk (when I ordered a flavored latte). There's no variation in tastes or effort put into any coffee. This new Urbana location is super cute! A little different from it's other location in OTR, but definitely a place to sit down with a friend and enjoy a cup of coffee. Although this location feels bigger and more open, the menu is more limited, giving this a 4/5. Still great though - I got the iced caramel latte! This location doesn't have wifi yet, so I wouldn't recommend going here to get some work done, but has plenty of room to just hang out. Light with a nice vibe! Baristas are pretty great too! I love this new location of Urbana. And it's right down the road from where we live, so that's a big plus. The coffee is always great. I especially like the cold brew and the iced lattes, specifically the caramel iced latte. It was so good, and people who saw our drinks came over and asked what we ordered so they could order the same. They have tons of amazing pasties as well. Probably the best croissants I've ever had. We've tried the pistachio and dark chocolate and the ham and cheese. The ham and cheese croissant is ridiculous and you should definitely order it. We also had a bagel from Bagelry which is a local bagel maker, and it was great as well. Also they get their pasties delivered on Saturday mornings, so thats the best time to try them. I live down the street from Urbana and I've been wanting to come here for a while. It's important for me to support local businesses. I was looking forward to liking this place, but I can't. When I came in my goal was to just get a pastry. I go up to the counter (No greeting when I come in) and I ask about the selection and the waitress told me the selection. I chose the Pistachio Croissant with chocolate on the inside, then she said $5. My mouth dropped! Really? $5? That is over the top for a pastry. I could see if it was $2.50 or $3, but that is expensive. Of course I pay for it and leave a dollar tip. Shouldn't have done that. The waitress, walks away and starts playing with her phone. Doesn't even acknowledge that I was done and leaving out. I went to the BMV earlier and got better service. Lol! It's one thing for a business chain to treat you like another random person, but a neighborhood business to have bad service and be over priced, sucks. I had a glance at some of the drinks and saw they where priced less than the pastry. Anyway, won't be going back. Btw, noticed that some reviews mentioned "no wifi"...why not have Wi-Fi? Working just down the road from this new location i was excited to try it out. I had to do some work over the weekend so i was going to get a yummy coffee and be productive! Although i could not because after choosing to drink my coffee there, the barista informed me there was no wifi. What kind of 21st century coffee shop doesn't have wifi?! So i then walked down the street to a beloved cafe, DeSales Cafe, that i have been to many times and they have free wifi to do my work. Um traumatizing experience. I've had decent past experiences here but this killed it. The guy who made my drink forgot to put the lid on all the way- sheer mistake, it happens! I spilled hot coffee down the front of my white shirt. In a panic I said "oh no you forgot to put the lid on all the way, do you have napkins". The other girl working behind the bar LAUGHED AT ME. I tried clearing up the air like maybe I did something wrong or possibly it's protocol they leave the lid slightly off for cream and sugar- but it was a latte sooo...? I said "I'm sorry was I being a bitch do you guys leave the lid off?" I'm over the coffee down my shirt, I've been a server and I've spilt plenty of drinks on people! The way these people handled that and the girl blatantly laughing in my face/ not offering help or apologies is sooo very sad. I order a drip coffee and a muffin and both were simple yet very good. Urbana served two different types of drip coffee: regular and a dark roast with hints of chocolate and blueberry. This is easily the best coffee shop in Cincinnati, I love both this location and the OTR location equally. The baristas are so friendly and the drinks are perfection! They make the best cortado in the city, and they also have the best hot coco I've ever tasted. They have delicious baked goods.. try the blueberry scone with cream cheese glaze or the almond croissant!
