I heard about their soft opening and decided to give them a try and I do not regret it. Immediately when I entered there was a friendly and professional atmosphere, the menu is something I have never tried before so I chose the Tuna Melt sandwich and it was the best sandwich I had. It tasted fresh, and the bread was my absolute favorite. The manager was kind enough to offer some cookies to try and they were delicious! I decided to come again and ordered the Ahi Salad, the portion was very filling and I will definitely order it again. I was really excited to try Urbane Café. The flavor was good, but I wish it would have been fresh. I ordered online and parked in the curbside parking spot. I called and they said someone would be right out with my food. 25 minutes later, I called back because no one had come out yet, and they put me on hold for another five minutes, came back on the line, and asked me what I ordered. Five minutes after that, someone came out with my food. When we got home to eat it, you could tell that it had been sitting a while because the bread was soggy and the salad was no longer cold. I think that I will be giving them a while longer to get on their feet before returning. read more

I just went to the soft opening, it was delicious!!!The line was short, the food serving time was short. I got the Santa Maria BBQ sandwich, a marinated BBQ chicken, Applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, housemade apple coleslaw, ranch dressing. I'm glad it was warm, because it was for dinner. I also had a blueberry lemonade which was STRONG SWEET. They had great service too. I also felt safe because the most order all had masks and the tables were nice spaced out. Saw that there was this new spot in Visalia so I decided to check it out. No ragrets. Ordered online and the food was ready when I got there. Had the BBQ tri tip sandwich. I had lunch here today after a doctors appointment. I had their bbq trip tip sandwich. And a bowl of their tortilla soup. Both were very delicious. I loved everything about this place. The exotic tea selection, the fresh baked bread, the vegan ban mi sandwich, made with tofu was delicious. The side salad had feta on it which they replaced for me. If you are vegan tell them when you order, no feta. Service and employees were excellent. read more

Ok, aside from a beautiful restaurant, 10/10 service, and perfect food, there is the cutest and sweetest worker ever named Sam. To start, my mom is celiac and being able to first-handedly get gluten free, clean, fresh food was amazing. To top of it off, the food was WONDERFUL. We accidentally came in right before closing and all of the girls working were so awesome and patient. Sam went above and beyond to ensure our time there was perfect. Honestly I drove 30 minutes to try their food and it was really good. I had my doubts but the California sandwich and the Keri cob salad quickly became my go to meals. Great healthy alternative to other restaurants that are in Visalia. Will definitely be our go to, but nothing compares to cafe Zupas, which, unfortunately isn't in California yet. I recently visited the Urbane Café in Visalia to try out their sandwiches. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I came in, which is always nice. I told the lady behind the counter that this was my first time here, and she took an opportunity to show me the menu on the wall. She also gave me a tip saying that all items that have a heart shape next to it are the popular favorites. I decided to try the Southwest chicken sandwich and the fountain lemonade. I did ask if they had coffee available and the lady behind the counter said "unfortunately no". Now that was a selling point for me, so I was a little disappointed by the lack of coffee. But I still wanted to give the sandwhich a try. And I was not disappointed. The Southwest Chicken sandwich was made fresh and was absolutely delicious. It had marinated chicken, avocado and corn (among other ingredients). The order came with a salad with little tangerines and a light dressing. The lemonade was sweet and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon. I finished off the meal with dessert, and tried the cookies they had on display. Now these cookies were on a hot plate, so when I got them they were still warm!!! That was a definite plus, and completed my dining experience on a high note. I highly recommend this place for a light lunch or dinner. read more
