You can tell it is not sitting around all day. It makes the entire sandwich better. My husband ordered the tri tip. I had the chicken. Both were excellent. The tri tip was tender and flavorful. Not chewy. Not dry. Just a solid, well made sandwich. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. That is rare with chicken sandwiches. It was packed with flavor and balanced ingredients. Nothing felt skimpy. We do not eat sandwiches often. It is not something we go out of our way for. But for a sourdough sandwich, this was outstanding. Simple. Fresh. Done right. It's nice the get a Reuben from here with the marble rye bread cause it's soft and works so well. But every now and again, I love having a sandwich on some sourdough bread. We explained to the cashier that it was our first visit and she was fairly friendly and provided us with some guidance on their signature/seasonal sandwiches, and their build your owns. I love this place. This is like a #1 craving spot for me. Just great sourdough subs. It's pretty incredible how rare sourdough sub sandwiches are in the mainstream of the sub sandwich world. I have to say, this place does it great in my opinion. The place also has a nice little seating area with lots of scenic feeling art around metal encased walls. There is also nice customer service here, where a server will bring out your order to you at your table, which does not apply to many takeout places like this, where instead they will call out your order but not actually bring it out to you if you are eating in the restaraunt. Very unimpressed... My mom had to completely take apart her sandwich and add lettuce and tomato, since they put almost none, and didn't put any cheese... yet completely destroyed it with mustard. Then my dad didn't get a heated sandwich when it's supposed to be heated! The amount of meat was pitiful, less than half of the "other local guy" and they charge almost $2 more. First time stopping by. Didn't realize they were open since Labor Day, but I may have overlooked since it is located next door to Dutch Bros. I came a little after 5pm on a Monday. There were about 4 customers waiting for an online order and two eating in the restaurant. I ordered and did not have to wait more than 10 minutes for my food. I ordered a small Cobb salad and a cup of clam chowder. Presentation was excellent. Clam chowder was nice and hot. They give you sourdough bread with your order and that is delicious!
