Wonderful event!! I had the pleasure of attending a lovely informative and fun URBANI TRUFFLE EVENT -The first one--in fact!! ...On March 26, 2026. NYC SHOP/OFFICE IS LOCATED: On West End Avenue, but it's also 11th Avenue (!!) See my very cool photo, where you will see street signs of each on opposite corners!!! Yes, one side say 59th /11Ave, and other says West End Ave/59th street!!! Save this street info for when you have a lull in your conversation with a new friend LOL. GOOD TO KNOW: URBANI TRUFFLES ARE FLOWN IN FROM ITALY, NOT IN THE CARGO AREA OF THE PLANE, BUT IN FIRST CLASS, ON THE PLANE!! (May I help carry your bags, URBANI Truffles?) One of the owners, Olga, happen to be in town and we got to meet her!!! She was in from ITALY. URBANI TRUFFLES does business with many of the FINE DINING RESTAURANTS HERE IN NYC!! I think I learned of the event on the app EventBrite, and I paid under $100 for my ticket. I don't recall the exact price of the ticket, but I think it was in the $80-$90 range. The event was limited to 15 people, which was a perfect amount, just right. We were seated at a table in a squared-off, U-shape. Perfect! Olivia, a welcoming and delightful person, with a wonderful knowledge of TRUFFLES, shared her knowledge along with a brief, slide show, and I honestly think that we all really enjoyed every moment. We not only learned, we tasted several types of truffles(!!!) which were part of a food item. For example, a white truffle gave a garlic flavor, so the white truffle oil would be sublime on a pasta, or a steak, in my humble opinion. We tasted almonds infused (?) with truffle. Truffle Pita chips--sooo good. I bought a bag ($7, I think). I shall be back for more, for certain! There was white chocolate made with white truffles-and dark chocolate made with truffles. Yes, imagine white chocolate with a hint of garlic!!! Yum!! As I said at the event, I could see creating a delightful, light, white chocolate dessert pasta with this!! Mmmm! We enjoyed sparkling water to cleanse our palate, or to quench our thirst, as well. I'm not giving you all the details of this lovely event because I think you should be surprised for some of it. IT WAS TOTALLY WONDERFUL!! I hope that if you are curious about truffles, you try to attend one of these wonderful events because you'll love it The bottom line is I highly recommend this event. It was a thorough delight. No one was disappointed and I'll let you be surprised for the rest, but I highly recommend this if you love truffles or are curious to learn about truffles, then, see when the next event is. I will leave you with one more major tidbit. We actually got to touch and hold some large, beautiful truffles. This was a lovely event. Thank you URBANI Truffles, and Olivia, and Olga. Order a truffle online and it was bad. Smelled like chemicals and dried out. How could they send this? One quick smell and you'd know it's bad. Where's the quality control? It was shipped overnight, in a lot of packaging. So doubt that was the problem. read more

Update, after posting my review along with some comments on one of their FB ads that their truffle had the consistently of a dried out turnip they refunded me. It's great that they did that, but no follow up customer contact, no explanation of what may have happened (which I really wanted to know for future truffle reference and education), literally not a peep aside from seeing a refund in my account. Ordered the small package of Italian White Truffle. They sent me Two White Chinese or Oregon or Australian perfectly round white truffles and One White Alba Italian rough truffle. They ripped me off figuring I'm a new stupid American who doesn't know about Truffels. The two fake Italian round not rough truffles were covered with truffle oil in the hopes I wouldn't know better. I reccomend being very careful when purchasing further White Italian truffles from these famous but unscrupulous dealers of Middle Eastern background. PS. No method to send feedback to them. We sat down to eat the truffle only to find out that the ones you sent us had absolutely no flavor and they were crumbling and falling apart even though we followed your instruction on how to care for them. they were cared for the proper way that's for sure. It brakes my heart to see both of them so upset and disappointed to be taken advantage of by your company. We bought black truffles for our holiday dinner. We bought approximately 10oz. for a dinner of 10 people and it cost about $240. Unfortunately when we shaved them onto our pasta - it didn't have a strong truffle flavor. Nazza was extremely helpful and when I returned the unused portion - he offered a refund or store credit. They are professional and I've had truffles from Urbani in the past that were top notch. Like all produce there are sometimes a batch that is not as truffle-like - but Nazza is a true professional and understands the value of repeat business. The truffles can't get much better than those on offer at Urbani. A five start rating is a given. I wanted to blab a little bit about their customer service. I placed an order at 5pm, on a Thursday, hoping that would allow for a next day delivery for Friday. I double checked with them on Friday, explaining that I placed the order for a Valentine's Day dinner. One of their reps pointed out that my order was placed too late, and that I wasn't going to receive my tubers until Monday (the day after VD). I have purchased truffles recently at Eataly, Citerella, and Dartagnan in Newark NJ.. The black winter truffles from Urabni were by far the best and freshest.. These things are too expensive not to get a perfect one.. Here it's all they do and they done do's it right.. They have other prodcuts made from truffles, such as truffle salt, butter, flour, and just about anything else you can think of.. Amazon is selling this for about 20$ small 2.6 ounce Jar. In Whole Foods we bought it for 29.99$. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. Before buying this we should have read the reviews, on Amazon at least, for instance. Most customers are not happy after tried that phony truffles. Absolutely tasteless, with no any flavor or aroma, savorless piece of crap. The structure and consistence resemble to a carpaccio of beet or radish may be. But forget about truffles here. We bought this to cook risotto, add shaved truffles would be a great idea, but not this brand. This didn't give any taste, nor savour or palate. There are other brands that are really great and this one is insipid, vapid and raw. Don't buy this flavorless imitation of quality. Total mock. I wouldn't pay even 5$ for that! read more

This place is amazing. Their selection and prices are about as good as you're going to get anywhere around here, or less (they supply all the truffles you'll get at Citarella or Eataly), and the quality is excellent. The guy who helped me, who might be one of the owners (a young guy with an Italian accent), really knew his stuff, and was super helpful, even helping me smell and pick out the best truffles in the bunch. Highly recommended if you're splurging! Just know they are only open like 9-5 Monday through Friday, and this is more of a warehouse that has a small retail section than a store. read more

I heard good things about this purveyor and was excited that they offered next day delivery so I ordered $300 worth of truffle products. Instead of receiving my delivery the next day, I got an email stating that they were very busy and my shipment would be going out the next day. I was excited to get the fedex tracking number, but disappointed when I received an email stating every item was out of stock and I would be getting a refund. When you have 8 people coming to dinner and now have only 24 hours to scramble to find rare white truffles, this is unacceptable. A phone call and some help would have been appropriate. I ordered the white truffles online, since I live in Tampa, Florida. They had great service and my truffles arrived by the following day. When I opened the package, the truffles lacked that beautiful aroma that's so prominent with fresh truffles. I made two dishes, one pasta and one chicken and added the beautiful truffles. The taste was lacking. I was very disappointed. These truffles, which I paid $199 for 1oz, were okay. I don't ever want to pay $199 for "okay" truffles.
