Nice little Italian grocery at the Chelsea Market. Deli area for fresh cut meats. Great selection of cheeses & olives. Huge selection of dried pasta, Italian cookies & snacks. Sandwiches & calzones, they warm it up for you. Espresso / coffee bar as well. Can't go wrong with Italian food.

Large coffee and mini cannoli - $5.17

Today was a self care day. I wanted to have a relaxing Sunday. Hence, I went to this cafe/store in Chelsea Market after I took a Pilates class in Brooklyn. For $5, I was able to purchase a large coffee and a mini cannoli. Both items were delicious and the woman who handled my transaction was very pleasant. I will definitely come back here again.

Got premade food from the market and it was okay! The pizza was okay, though definitely had better pizza at other places in the city. The cold pasta salad was not my cup of tea. It was a bit too sour for me :/ Perhaps I just had the wrong foods, but am open to trying again.

We popped in the Chelsea Market to try and find a spot that has coffee as we were early for our tickets into the Artechouse. This place had some fantastic espresso and they had an amazingly cute market.

Debating on what to get for lunch at Chelsea Market. Buon Italia located downstairs. We walked up to the counter and noticed variety of quiches. Decided to get one to try out before going back for more. OMG! The spinach quiche was delicious. Not greasy, cheesy nor heavy. In fact, it was light and fluffy. Perfect size to be shared by two people. The only drawback was that it was warm by the time we walked out to look for table and chairs. Will definitely be back and spend more time going through the aisles. Lots of products to select from. There's the butcher in the back to place orders.

OMG TRUE ITALIAN COFFEE FINALLY! Another 5-Star stop on Chelsea. Smooth, bold, and creamy coffee. Nothing over powering, just great smooth blend!

Great selection of imported goods, from gianduja to nduja. They stock a lot of the same items as Eataly, except it's better organized and much less crowded. They have a deli counter as well as a pasta/prepared foods counter in the back that's worth taking a look at.

Secret pasta bar alert! Yeah, I read that Grubstreet article, and this place lived up to the hype. I had the porcini ravioli with butter parmigiano sauce and orchiette with pesto sauce; both great but choose the ravioli if you can only get one. I also had a slice of pistachio cake from their bakery case in the front that was incredible. Never had anything like it. Only thing is I wish they had real dishes for if you want to eat in. 4.5 stars.

Scuzza me, but you see that's amore'! This store is everything Italian. They've got every pasta you can imagine. Cookies from Italy, canned foods, cheeses and even a deli counter.

Authentic Italian food less expensive than their competitors. It has been in this spot as far as I can remember. It's a New York City staple. Cheeses, sausages, candies, spices, olive oils, great balsamic vinegars, foie gras! Sorbets! Ice cream! All imported - a few not. They even have read to go and cook at home pastas and lasagna all ready to just out in the oven to bake. Truffle pates too! Must destination if you want Italian food to go or cook.

I still absolutely love this store! We have discovered their burrata and it is second to none! Delicious, creamy and fresh! It didn't need any olive oil or sea salt. It was delicious on its own. Their coffees and olive oils are terrific. Their marzipan is super fresh and tasty. The fresh pasta is also delicious. The prepared food is also delicious. My girls are big fans of their pizza and pasta. I love when they have their marzipan based desserts. Totally delectable!! The service is always friendly and helpful.

The pasta bar is really good! I really like the the gnocchi stuffed with black pepper, and with arrabbiata sauce.

Has this place moved downstairs where the cheesemonger and manhatten fruit shop is? I went to a Italian place down there and don't remember seeing this place anymore in the main hall.

    Yes.

While the inside of the restaurant isn't large (note they have a larger back patio area as well) it's cozy and parties of two may share a larger, communal table which can be a nice way to make friends should you choose. As others have noted it's a BYOB place with a convenient local wine-shop just a minute or two nearby. The menu changes regularly though we got many of the classics that have stayed on the menu (only missing the Angry Chicken which we'll get next time). The pastas were delicious though I wish the rigatoni was a bit saucier and really enjoyed the ravioli which had a lighter, mid-summer flavor with some pine-nuts for extra texture. The ricotta bread and honey was tasty though a large portion for two people and we felt that the standout was the halibut. My only complaint is the 3% mandatory card-processing fee (which at least is prominently displayed). Please also note that this restaurant calculates tips based on the total, not pre-tax amount and the waiter tends to hover while you swipe your card which can feel a bit overbearing.

Paired with the honey and peppercorn were *chefs kiss*. Just a perfect shareable app. The mortadella was also good but smaller than I anticipated. I'd maybe pass on this next time. Honestly this would have paired perfectly with the toast but it was brought out after the toast was finished. We ordered two pastas: the rigatoni and the malfadine. Both were great and cooked perfectly. The quality of ingredients were a standout in both of the dishes. Pork pampanella was the most tender pork I've ever had. Basically melted in your mouth. Very fatty and heavy (a little too heavy...) but delicious. 4.5/5 overall. Some of the dishes were missing a little something to take it all the way but I'd still recommend this spot tho. Also it's BYOB!

If you been rocking since 1919, mi amor, I **have** to come see what's going on. That alone made me wanna pull up And let me tell you... I walked from Jersey City Heights down to downtown -- not a bad walk at all, un chin de cardio before breakfast . Real "treat yourself, mi amor" type of morning. Soon as I walked in... BABYYYY I felt like I got teleported straight into a little Italian market Shelves full of Italian goodies -- pastas, oils, snacks... I was like *yo quiero todo esto* It was giving *ciao bella, benvenuti, mangia mangia* vibes all day. The staff? Súper nice. No attitude, no rush -- just good energy. I told them it was my first time and asked what they're known for, and they really put me on No gatekeeping over here. My husband got the #7 (on a roll) I got the #8 (on a bagel) We sat outside and did what married people do... switched sandwiches halfway Now listen... mine was good -- turkey, egg, pesto... she was cute, she had flavor, estaba bien ‍ BUT HIS?! Ese sándwich estaba otro nivel. I don't know if it was the roasted peppers or what but *Dios mío*... delicioso, chef's kiss Only thing? Next time I'm switching my bagel for a roll porque ese pan estaba hitting different. The roll? Soft, fresh, perfecto. Also... let me tell you about the BACK They got frozen pastas, little Napoli-style dishes, a whole meat section that looked crazy fresh, and you can order cold sandwiches too. Esto no es solo un deli -- it's a whole Italian experience, okurrr. And yes... it's a *little* pricey, no te voy a mentir. Pero honestly? You get what you pay for. Calidad, sabor, vibes -- todo está ahí. I skipped the coffee porque estoy tratando de behave con el budget but next time? And I'm coming back for that banana pudding porque I'm obsessed no shame. They got a little patio if you wanna sit, or you can take your food to the park and have a whole picnic moment. Real main character energy. Ponte linda, grab your sandwich, and just vibe out. Overall? 5 stars Good food, good vibes, buena gente. CARGIANO'S said "treat yourself" y yo dije... say less
