First a delivery for my grandmother's hip surgery that she got days late, not looking up to par- I called customer service and they gave me a credit thankfully for the flowers. Would not give me a refund. I used the credit to buy flowers for her birthday that were supposed to be delivered tomorrow and of course they're late again! They are going to sit all day Sunday at shipping facility and arrive Monday. I called customer service and they are sending out a new bouquet for after her birthday, unfortunately I can never use this company again. I need reliability for my flower deliveries! A business colleague sent me an Urban Stems bouquet 8 days ago and they still look brand new and beautiful!! I buy flowers from grocery store all the time and get florist bouquets occasionally as gifts and the flowers never last more than 5 or 6 days. I am so impressed! Also when they arrived in the little burlap bag they looked so beautiful and elegant. You also get the option of sending a mason jar and chocolate bars which my sender did. I did not have great experience as my order was delayed and when I called they rescheduled it for two days later (past the special date when I wanted them delivered). They did not arrive on that day either, which was more of a Fedex issue and not really Urban Stems' fault. I was beyond disappointed and annoyed at this situation, but I do have to say each time I called customer service, they were super friendly and apologetic. They gave me a full refund and sent out a double batch. The old ones arrived as well (though they were less than fresh). I fully appreciated their efforts to correct the problem and that is why I am giving a good rating. But think they need to get things together or a business really cannot succeed this way! The flowers that were delivered were disappointing. I was incredibly excited to try y'all for the first time for a sweet birthday gift to a dear friend. When she sent me a picture of the flowers, I asked her to FaceTime immediately because they looked like a week old rather than freshly delivered. The roses were wilted and browning on the edges and she got her delivery before noon. She quickly placed them in water, hoping that would help revive them. Once I figure out how to send pictures on Yelp I'll write them a complete review. This company is a scam the pictures if they offer for sale or not the same as what they're delivered. Then they offer you a credit for future use as if I would ever use them again. I think this is a marketing company that consolidate sales around the country and then farms out the work to individual florist they probably take a pic card so the product you get is nowhere near the proper value of what you get in fact it causes a lot of damage when the recipient receives junk. Bought a monthly subscription for my 91 yo grandmother and she received her first delivery with the majority of the flowers and roses dead. She didn't want to tell me. Instead, my aunt told me because she knew they were expensive. I expressed my unhappiness to customer service. The first person I talked to was not the warmest person. I got a refund on my subscription minus the cost of the first delivery. I was offered a replacement delivery and I accepted. I didn't hear anything for a few days and had to contact customer service again. Nothing was being done. The next person I talked to via email was very nice and helpful. She assisted me in getting a replacement order which would be an upgraded arrangement. That order came today and the roses are brown around the edges and wilted. They won't last the next few days. Pictures are attached of the promised arrangement and the one received. It is loaded with filler and most definitely not worth $165. The pictures online are deceptive. You will receive dead flowers. This was their attempt to keep me as a customer and it failed. Will not be using them ever again. read more

Terrible experience and 5 DAYS past the delivery date is when the flowers will be delivered to my mother - several days past her birthday, and the date I scheduled online. The flowers are are not even in transit - they have been sitting in the CA fulfillment center for several days now. I'm so disappointed and saddened I couldn't add to my mothers joy on her special day. I do not recommend these flowers. they use fed ex to deliver so if they delivery is late or not delivered they won't do anything about it. I received a "delayed" email from urbanstems and the fed ex website showed delayed as well. I checked the tracking again hours later and it showed delivered. I called the business where I sent flowers to confirm the delivery and they never got them, but because fed ex showed a status of delivered urbanstems didn't do anything. no refund, no credit, no resend of flowers, not even a "we're sorry for your experience". In fact instead of addressing my concerns they completely ignored them and just wrote back with the delivery status. read more

I ordered my mother flowers to be delivered for her birthday on August 31 to be delivered on September 3. I got a notice they were delayed and on the truck. I called and spoke to a rep who could not tell me why but reordered a new one for me. Well low and behold that one was stuck on another truck. I then got a credit and reordered some flowers to be delivered on the 8th. Mind you her birthday was the 5th and she is 88 years old. Well today SEPTEMBER 7TH I get a notice that the 2 prior orders which have been in boxes since August 31 and on the truck since then are out for delivery. This is absolutely ridiculous . They were both delivered today after being on a truck since August 31. They were a dirty smelly rotted mess with dead flowers and leaves falling all over when she opened them. I don't even know how to explain this mess to an 88 year old woman. She will received 2 boxes of garbage today. This has been one of the most upsetting experiences. I don't understand how a company that deals with such time sensitive gifts just lets this happen. The first 2 orders should have been recalled and sent back to them. I ordered a $130 bouquet from UrbanStems (my first time with this brand I had never heard of before) to be delivered to my mom for Mother's Day this year. I chose a 'flexible delivery date' to ensure it would be delivered on or before Mother's Day. This was my first time ordering from UrbanStems and I'd definitely try them again. I ordered Peonies as a birthday present (a rare find in my state during late Summer/early Fall). Since the site mentioned they may take a few days to bloom I ordered them to be delivered to my home 2 days in advance. There was an issue with the inbound shipment from one of their farms and the Peonies had to be delayed by one day, so Carol B. did everything possible to assure they were delivered at least 1 day in advance. Carol then offered me $15 UrbanStems store credit + I was able to choose a different gift equal to the value of a vase ($22). Once the flowers got here (1 day early rather than 2 like I planned) they had a few "old" looking petals, but once I picked those off and placed them in water they began to blossom rapidly and were absolutely stunning! I was able to give the present the following day and they were a huge hit. They also continued to grow as my loved one enjoyed the gift over the following days, so I believe the timing worked out well in the end. read more

I wish I could give a ZERO star review. It is Mother's Day 2023 and I had scheduled a delivery for Friday so she could have them early. I never received any notice of a problem with delivery but by Saturday evening realized I hadn't gotten any confirmation of delivery. Sunday morning I called customer service only to be told my delivery never made it. It would get to her on the 17th. Three days from now and 5 days late of the original delivery date. My mom is 80 years old and not in great health. Who knows how many more Mother's Days I will have with her. Contacted someone to plan arrangements for a company event and the flowers arrived with no vases. The photos sent all were shown in vases and I explained the event and what we were doing. After they arrived with no vases I called and was told it never included vases they were just shown in photos. This review is solely based on their customer service. I ordered a bouquet fort friend who recently had a baby and chose from the "Next Day" options. My original delivery date was Saturday, August 5. I receive an email letting me know that the bouquet was delayed and would be delivered by Monday, August 7. Then, I relieved another update that it would be delivered on Wednesday, August 8. That is, four days after the original delivery date. These flowers were nearly $200, and I felt I could have gone to a local florist for the same price and had them delivered by Saturday. I corresponded with Czarina S. at UrbanStems and she was very apologetic and understanding. She originally credited my account but when I requested a refund, she told me she understood and was able to refund my entire order. The flowers are still scheduled for delivery, so I'll update my review once I can speak to the arrangement quality itself. Customer service however, was superb!
