I signed up for YELP just to rip this place a part. The tone of this review is parallel to the abuse spit on us at URBN Leaf. I have never been to a more dysfunctional, uptight, negative cannabis shop EVER. I go to a lot. My 72 year old mother, buying strictly for medicinal needs, was scolded at by the employee. She is an advanced age and needed me next to her which she was yelled at "that's not allowed." Yet the employee had zero patience for her advanced age needs: emotional disorders, insecure in public, hard of hearing, trouble speaking, dizzy when overwhelmed, confused. So she needed me! Her aid! If the employee had least let us explain that could have been helpful, but rather she was curt, abbrassive and barked! The security guards are immature. The checkin guy for me was decent, my mom got no explanation about discounts. Their covid "laws" are bizarrely severe, comparatively speaking, so obviously their superiority complex is magically protecting us better then the rest. Cee.U.Next.Tuesday (an achronim reserved for worst case scenarios) is the only thing I was chanting when we, thank god, escaped that alter universe black whole of a crap-shop. We arrived with love and excitement. We left feeling raped of our joy and the pleasure of spending our money on cannabis. I'd rather scrape the bottom of my pipe then buy at URBN Leaf. Also, if your ordering pick up to avoid Covid or lines, the wait is super long due to the chaos of this place, not because of popularity. The strict Covid "laws" enforced inside made us feel more unsafe then the Covid itself, are NOT followed by the check in employees, security guards or the order pick up employees. Nothing about this place makes sense, it is Bi Polar and reminiscent of a Trojan animal pit I need weapons to get out alive with my dignity in tact. read more

For a first-timer coming from a 'hostile state', Urbn Leaf was a breath of fresh air (er, heady smoke?). Be ready to show ID at the door and go through a security screening (so it helps not to be all high and paranoid before you enter...but really, they're used to it, and the guards were super cool). You show ID again at the main window and they enter you into the system. This takes a minute on your first visit, but is still quick, and very fast on subsequent visits (plus the system maintains your info regarding discounts...teachers and military can get 10% off! and SD residents and medical patients can get some first-time freebies as well). Once inside there are two lines- one for medical, one for recreational. Queue up and you'll be assigned to the next available budtender. My budtender could see my overwhelmedness (not a word) and assured me that the store was mirrored so the three walls are actually identical...okay, only 1/3 of the awesomeness to deal with...that's better. The two budtenders that helped me during two visits were both wonderful and helpful and will walk you through whatever you're interested in; you're in good hands at Urbn Leaf! Some pro-tips: Dispensaries are cash-only, so either hit your bank ATM for no service fee before coming, or hit the two on-site for a $3 fee. As of this writing there is a $50 for $75 coupon via Yelp which you can use a credit card to purchase, and just bring in your phone with the Yelp app to access it. The shuttle from Ocean Beach to the Urban Leaf Dispensary made me feel like a true VIP! I'll keep it short and sweet... 1. Greeted by a friendly Urban Leaf representative 2. Brought on to a beautiful shuttle w/music and useful information about the dispensary 3. Driven directly to the front entrance and escorted directly to the front of security check 4. Directed to the express lane for quick access to the identification verification area. 5. Guided to the lane that provided fast access to the next available budtender (who are very knowledgeable about the benefits of thc and cbd) 6. Escorted back to the shuttle and returned back to the original pick up spot. 7. I was allowed to enjoy my recently purchased items and share them with the rest of the fellow cannabis consumers on the bus!!!! 8. The best part is that this VIP service is absolutely FREE!!! (They do not provide free product. They simply provide the transportation and VIP service) The entire process made me feel like a truly valued potential customer with the highest quality experience. *I know this may upset anyone that might have experienced something less than spectacular with this company because of long lines but the shuttle service was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a company. Stopped in here for my first ever visit to a dispensary. Within 5 seconds of entering, some ego-infected yahoo, black-on-black commando hate uniform, was waving his magic security wand all over me...like I was Julian Assange or something. Pretty obvious that I was perceived as some sort of threat... I'm an older guy...blue collar...had just finished a job in Mission Hills, so I guess maybe I wasn't dressed the part...or didn't look the part...or maybe he thought I didn't have money, or something, idk. So anyways, as he's attacking me with his coveted wand, I tell him "hey, this is my first time here...maybe my last"...but he could've cared less. By this time, he was maneuvering that saber-sword up into my crotch area. And that's when I finally said "hey, pal, what is going on...?" ..."what the hell are you doing"...? As a customer, I just couldn't possibly go any further. I told him "I'll pass". Naturally, I walked out of there...back to the comfort of my work van...and never to return. This has become my go-to weed shop! By far the best/most professional interior design in the market. Pricing may be a bit higher than others, but for me, the convenience makes it worth it. What I appreciate most is they have a separate medical patient line that allows for faster service. They have great referral deals and an awesome point system which turns into savings for you. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable (Devin is awesome) and they have a great selection of products across the board. The only downside is parking, if you come at a busy time you may end up circling around a bit, but I've never had to wait too long. If any friends are visiting from out of state, I make sure to bring them here, as it has a great WOW factor for anyone who's not accustom to these kinds of shops. read more

I went in tonight for the first time! Lines were crazy but that's because of the date 4/20 which I didn't realize since I am not a smoker lol. I went in with no clue what to get for pain. I just knew I needed to get something with just CBD so I won't get the high. The guy (John K) who helped me was amazing and very patient with me as I was tired from work and I didn't know what I wanted nor what to get. Very very suitable for a fast weed service. If using there express service, call it in 15 mins the order is ready for pick up. The line can be out the door and you go to a separate medical/ express line. I go here very often& most I'm inside is 10 mins if that, it works perfect for busy people like me. The weed is great & the advisors go out their way to educate you on products. Overall my fav dispensary to ever go to in San Diego. You must go to. From the security to the staff you will be pleased. Also the staff is very suitable when it comes to sanitary needs. All guards wear gloves and hand sanitizer everywhere, this place is awesome from the beginning to the end. read more

Urbn Leaf is my top go to as a medical patient in SoCal. The staff is friendly and helpful from the minute you walk in, as well as having a dedicated medical line really helps with pain management as most places always have a line. On my last visit Rahnessa helped make sure I received the best medicine and care possible, from helping with a faulty cartridge to making an excellent recommendation for sedation/pain. She has helped me twice now and both times I noticed when I walked away I felt even more ready to journey through the day than I had when walking in. I had been looking for a cart that works for me and fill my needs! I was stuck buying the same thing every time, but decide to ask my cashier Thahn for some help! She greeted me when I walked up and remember helping me last time - made my night! She listened to all of my questions and answered them from an observers point of view not from her personal preferences. She was open and honest with me about products which sometimes is not always the case. She found what my needs were and distinguished products right for what I was looking for.
