A dying breed, 'real' art suppliers are hard to find. Pale options include college bookstores or homogenized stores such as Michael's or Aaron Brothers (if the latter still exists). This small shop is surprisingly well stocked with almost everything. Painters especially will be delighted at the selection of brushes, canvases and paints. Especially the paints because some of them are perpetually discounted! Moving around reveals fine chisel sets for linoleum and wood carving, artists pencils, sharpeners and pastels and charcoal. I was impressed with the selection and had a great conversation with the guy working about upcoming changes the the to downtown Riverside and the small art gallery next door that I'll have to creat a Yelp page for. Students and amateur or professionsl artists can find what they need, and they're open a little later than most downtown shops. Finally, the UC Riverside Photography Museum is just around the corner if you need inspiration!

Book section. There's art books and magazines from independent publishers, and instructional books for different mediums

Finally this place reopened for in-store shopping! They super stocked up on everything you need for art class, and extra. I've been going to RCC for fine art classes the past few years, and this shop has been a life saver, only a 5 minute drive away from the college in downtown and they already talk to most of my professors to make sure all the supplies are ready, plus they do student discounts. The associate that helped me out was also able to answer all my questions and tell me why I needed each tool and an idea of how I'd be using them. It was almost like I took a 10 minute workshop just gathering my supplies for my projects! This is one of the coolest shops around. Independent, real artists, and nice music and ambiance. They also added a new section for their spray paint and markers. They even have the MTN paper craft trains! There's also a gallery next door, has a cool photo show. Not my cup of tea, but cool if you're into that.

I love the customer service. Every question I have is answered with knowledge and friendliness. I love Fritz the owner. He is a beacon of art in Downtown Riverside. He is the best, and have created an excellent environment for local artists. The variety is top notch-whether you want to spray paint, screenprint, draw or create something unique, they got ya covered at Urge. The employees like Elijah are rad! Keep up the good work guys.

The variety of gifts for men and women for young and old things expensive and things reasonably priced. It's all here just about anything that you could Decorate your house with. It's a beautiful selection of knickknacks and soaps and candles and wow, just about anything you can think of you better make sure you have adequate time because it's very easy to find a section of beautiful items and get yourself completely lost here so it is definitely worth a visit and you're no doubt find something wonderful.

The store is beautiful. Lots of souvenirs and antiques that you can find. Theres probably something for everyone you want to gift -- theres greeting cards, tea sets, animal statues, rings and necklaces, soap bars and ones dispensers, and other trinkets Normally I dont post about my dislike of being obviously followed in a store, but now it's my turn. I technically shouldnt be salty since I had always been law-abiding, but today was a very surprising one! You can tell based on my pfp that I tend to dress nicely, almost old money or New Yorker style. I was the best dressed of my crew that day, and we were still followed -- and not even in a professional way lol, the person was not slick Cant tell if they were a lady or dude but it was almost certain that they were related to the old ladies working at the store. This person tailed my friends and I wherever we went, to the point of blatantly blocking the already narrow aisles and standing behind people with their arms crossed. I go to Ross Dress for Less a lot and am used to security, of course -- but blocking paths and colliding into people is where I draw the line. And where I start posting a review Come here for trinkets and stuff. But get ready to pay for slightly expensive goods -- it's to pay for the security kid who blocks your path

(Description of Male Employee: Tall, White, light brown hair, Long Ponytail, goatee, glasses)…read more I went into the store to get some fabric, and I had such a bad experience. Everything was going well up until I needed to get my fabric cut. I found the cutting bar and pressed the button and waited patiently, I know workers can be busy so I wasn't in a rush. The guy who came to cut my fabric had a HORRIBLE attitude, as if I had been squealing for someone to cut my fabric. I had all my fabric rolls in hand AND I knew exactly how much I wanted of each fabric. I was prepared and ready but he was so upset and I don't understand why. He kept sighing and huffing and puffing his chest like he was being held hostage. Once he finished cutting the fabric he folded it scanned the paper and THREW the fabric on the table instead of politely handing it to me or even pushing it over for me to grab. I have no idea what I did, I waited patiently and was prepared and had ZERO questions or concerns, just simply needed my fabric cut. I'm a seamstress who often makes garments for ravers and I am CONSTANTLY buying fabrics but now I refuse to go to this Micheal's on Magnolia. Afraid I'm going to get hassled for simply wanting product. I have always been a costumer for this Micheal's but now I go to the one in Eastvale with better customer service.
