They let us just sit and chat with them as we waited for the yarn mess to be fixed. They told us they're a bunch of friends who opened the shop together and love to hang out, knit, and chat. We were invited to take a trial class today, it turned out marvelously as my little one was able to get individual attention and step-by-step guidance from Phebie. She can't stop talking about what she learnt on the ride home and of course she can't wait to come back. Phebie is a natural teacher in sharing her love for knitting. The shop is a beautiful space showcasing rare talents for an art form that is sadly often overlooked by mass produced quick fashion of the season. The guy who came to cut my fabric had a HORRIBLE attitude, as if I had been squealing for someone to cut my fabric. I had all my fabric rolls in hand AND I knew exactly how much I wanted of each fabric. I was prepared and ready but he was so upset and I don't understand why. He kept sighing and huffing and puffing his chest like he was being held hostage. Once he finished cutting the fabric he folded it scanned the paper and THREW the fabric on the table instead of politely handing it to me or even pushing it over for me to grab. I have no idea what I did, I waited patiently and was prepared and had ZERO questions or concerns, just simply needed my fabric cut. I'm a seamstress who often makes garments for ravers and I am CONSTANTLY buying fabrics but now I refuse to go to this Micheal's on Magnolia.
