During the crisis, he began engaging in self-injurious behaviors, including hitting himself, yelling, and becoming physically dysregulated. His staff immediately stepped in to help keep him and others safe, but the situation escalated to the point that they called me to assist. I arrived and immediately implemented his crisis protocol to help de-escalate him. As a parent of a child with severe autism, I have unfortunately experienced many situations where people either do not understand autism, become frustrated, or simply do not know how to respond. Too often, families are met with judgment rather than support. Valeria, the store manager, completely changed that experience for us. She showed compassion, understanding, and professionalism in a moment that was incredibly stressful for our family. She helped make the area safe, redirected customers so we had room and privacy to support my son, and repeatedly checked in to ask if we needed anything. She never made us feel like a burden or an inconvenience. I cannot put into words how much that meant to me. In one of our hardest moments, she showed humanity and kindness. Autism awareness and understanding matter, and yesterday Valeria demonstrated exactly what that looks like. Thank you, Valeria. You left me speechless, and I will never forget the compassion you showed my son and our family.

We came to this location to get a specific product however they have stopped carrying it as they have canceled their partnership with ultra. I much prefer target over Walmart any day. This location is in a strip mall with many other businesses so it is convenient and you can take care of multiple things in your to do list. It's also close to the freeway so it's easy to get in and out without a lot of trouble. Great location.

I still think its parking lot is too small for the masses, and it's kind of hazardous driving through and walking. Perhaps it was bad design by the developer, but I feel it is worth mentioning. Inside, though, the floor gleams and the shelves are neatly arranged and well stocked. I'm still getting acquainted and haven't really explored it all the way around, but there is a Starbucks in front and a pharmacy. Groceries look fresh and the homegoods area has items I have not seen for a while at other locations, which is funny because we're talking about Jurupa Valley, a semi-rural ghetto :D All jokes aside, one good thing about new plazas are the wide selection of neighboring businesses, including an Aldi, In-N-Out, other restaurants, auto parts store, charging station, car wash, and much more.

The store is always super clean and feels way more organized than most, which makes shopping actually enjoyable, and even when it looks busy the lines move really fast so you're not stuck waiting forever. One of my favorite parts is the back section where they always have a really good selection of artwork and home decor, I've found some really cute pieces that don't look cheap at all, and if you have a dog you'll love it because they consistently have a ton of dog toys and pet items compared to other locations. Overall this spot just feels more stocked, more put together, and way less stressful than your typical Ross, definitely my go to.

It's been a store that's been in the wait for over a year and finally it's here and think it's a great store that's been added into the community. If you're new to Daiso, it's basically a Japanese discount chain that sell items at $1.75 and up. With most items being $1.75. There's stationery, craft items, school supplies, gardening items, storage and organization containers, tech items, and even some popular Japanese drinks and snacks. The quality of the items are about if not better than Five Below. I paid a visit on their opening day, though I didn't join their promotion bag giveaway, just normal shopping for me. My visit here was good, enjoyed the clean store and one clerk who walked by, greeted me and asked if I needed help with anything. They have cashiers and also a self-checkout area. There's lots of parking in the area as it's located in a shopping center. Even though it doesn't have the same vibe as other Daiso stores I've been to (it's a certain Japanese style customer service that most of the other Daiso stores have), it's still a good store to check out and visit.

I've tried so many new things since they came to town. Then the piece we ALL care about: price, say whatever you want but I KNOW I get so much more for my dollar here. For instance I was in Napa and came across a wonderful Lil winery. Went in did a tasting and my friend that lived in Napa ended up joining their club... why do I tell this story? Because Grocery Outlet is selling their wine for WAY less than I paid from the winery! (See photo of Brendel Wine). Or, I love buying little snacks for work to share with my fellow VA hospital employees. I can buy so many fun treats, and I don't break the bank. (See photo assorted snacks I bought today). Again, IF you have your heart set on a specific item, you may be sad. But if you have the attitude of 'let's see what fun we find today' YOU'LL LOVE THIS PLACE. My vegetarian Facebook group had been raving about their great selection of vegan and vegetarian products--and they were right. As someone who enjoys wine, I was pleasantly surprised by their "Wine Wednesday" deals, offering 10% and sometimes even 20% off when buying six bottles. They also carry a solid selection of craft beers, which makes it even better. One thing to keep in mind is to always check expiration dates--this is part of how they keep prices so affordable. The management and checkout staff are consistently friendly, which makes shopping there even more enjoyable. Needless to say, I find myself there almost every Wednesday!
