If I could give zero stars I would. I've wasted HOURS trying to support this business. To help support a local small business. But I'll never shop here again. Every time you speak to someone, you get a different story. They tell you they have a rewards system to get you to purchase with them. But no one knows it works. So when someone tells you the rewards you've earned. You spend 2 hours in the store getting them to try to figure it out. Then god forbid you buy items from the clearance bin. They don't bother charging you the reduced price. And then insist you go get all your items again. To individually return them all. And charge you again. I have attempted to reach out to this company several times but have not heard back, which has led me here. I live out of state and placed an online order for two items. The shipping was astronomical but it was the only place I was able to find the exact hanging cursive alphabet I wanted for my classroom so I bit the bullet and made the purchase. The second item in my order was just a bulletin board border. A few days after placing my order, I received an email that a portion of the shipping cost would be refunded, which I was appreciative! However, when I received my order, only the bulletin board border was included, not the alphabet. The shipping receipt had the alphabet crossed out (I'm assuming it was out of stock) but didn't include a note nor did I receive any type of notification that the item was out of stock. The ONLY reason I placed the order was for the alphabet. I only included the bulletin border to help justify the shipping cost. I could have bought the exact border 5 minutes away from my home in New Orleans. The summer preparations and the start of the school year have been a whirlwind as I'm a first year teacher after a 13 year career in nursing, so I have tried to be patient but it has been almost 8 weeks now and I have yet to see my refund on the alphabet or on the adjusted shipping cost. Numerous emails have gone unanswered and I have been unable to reach anyone when I have tried to call. If someone from management sees this, I ask that you please reach out. Thank you. read more

I knew something was off when I saw those fake 5 star reviews on their Google. Although the store is gushing with inventory, it's hard to navigate and stroll while taking your time looking. I felt like I was constantly monitored without even being asked for help. Prices were not really that much better than the other big store. Will not return. read more

I stopped by today at 4:30 PM hoping to quickly browse, since both the window sign and website state they close at 5:00. To my surprise, the place was already closed. As I was walking back to my car, I saw an employee getting out of a van with two men who were clearly not staff. It felt like closing early was more about personal plans than business hours. Was so glad to find out about this place. I was dreading a trip to Lakeshore when a teacher friend of mine said, "Have you been to CM?" That changed everything. You mean, I have options other than Lakeshore?! Yes! I decided I'd take a chance and see what CM was all about. I got here right when they opened on a Sunday and grabbed one of their mini carts in hopes of filling it with goodies. As soon as I walked in, I found some great stuff. I was looking for classroom decorations and boy do they have many. I ended up getting quite a few things here, actually. Some great language games & language activity books. Their prices are pretty reasonable but I did find some stuff cheaper on Amazon. However, if comparing to Lakeshore, I feel like CM is cheaper. There wasn't a lot of staff walking around & there weren't prices on a lot of items, which was annoying when trying to budget, but overall some really great finds. I will say, they were lacking in the amount of Speech-Language (I'm an SLP) activities. Lakeshore definitely is better in that regard but as far as room decor, this place is fantastic! Overall good experience and good customer service. The store has a lot Of Merchandise with good Selections. But some items are hard to find and the aisles are Not Clearly labeled. So you spend a lot Of time walking back and forth and around again looking for thinks. The store is a bit dark and needs more lighting. I stopped in just before closing and the people working were unbelievably helpful and kind! They went out of their way to find the materials I needed for my summer school classroom. I drove from Orange County and it was worth it. It was great being able to see everything in person, rather than scrolling through a website. I was enjoying this place more than Lakeshore, but had a bad experience returning some border. First, the lady looked at me like I didn't belong there when she came over to complete my return and asked for my receipt which I had given to the cashier. She said because the border was bent she couldn't take it back and was very short with me. I explained that when I asked last month about the return policy I was not informed of that. I don't have much storage in my class and sometimes you have to bend materials. Lakeshore would have taken back the border. read more

My wife has come here a few times to get stuff laminated. They charge about $1 per 12X12 of laminating. Pretty dang cheap. Although the quality of the lamination is somewhat of a hit and miss The store is filled with cool stuff, but nothing of use to me. This is the best place to get school need for your child. I have an 8 year old grand son and we have purchased several items from them and they are all friendly and helpful. I agree. The customer service is horrible. I am a homeschool mom and have funds that need to be spent there but I hesitate to go because of the way I know I will be treated. The people who work here are hit and miss. Some are helpful and nice but most of them are so rude and there is always a problem. Their "computers are down" or "the computers are too old" or they won't let you make returns. A great place to go for school supplies; they have everything from stickers to bulletin board borders and letters. However, while they do have a wide array of supplies, they are a tad expensive. My 8 year old got two items from CM the other day, and he can't stop playing with them. The first was a bubble machine that he is using to make the dog get her exercise chasing bubbles all over the place. The next was a clear plastic tube with lights and a buzzer that goes off what you touch your hands to both ends to complete the circuit. He loves experimenting with it to see what he can use to complete the circuit. He even said you could use 3,000 people to complete the circuit, but it wouldn't buzz until the last person touched hands. I'm not sure if we'll ever get to test it on 3,000 people, but it sounds like good logic. :-) read more
