They took Molly from me and said I can't come back to the room with her.The technician came out and said everything looks good but when I asked a basic question about whether she could return to hard food he said "I believe so." After spending thousands of dollars there and carefully following every medication and feeding instruction, it was frustrating to get a two minute visit with no chance to even speak to the doctor and a technician who didn't seem fully informed about her case. For the level of care and cost involved I expected clear communication and more direct guidance from the Veterinarian. After everything Molly has been through and all we invested in her care it was disheartening to walk away feeling like we were just another quick stop. I was not expecting a long consultation today just a moment of clarification from the doctor to conform Molly was healed, doing well, and ready to return to her normal routine. She performed no tests and made this diagnosis solely on the basis of a physical exam. She sent me home with two printed handouts, one more than 10 years old, filled with misinformation. I then spent $1,000 to have my dog tested by a veterinary cardiologist. After physical exam, EKG, and Echocardiogram, the diagnosis was "Normal heart size and function." When I complained to the practice they did not believe that Dr. Martin had told me my dog had cardiomyopathy. I do have a medical background and thank goodness I'd saved the handouts because Dr Martin never wrote down what she told me. The practice insisted on my presenting them with the handouts before they would believe me. I returned to Ardmore a few weeks after the cardiologists for an "Adult Wellness Plus" with Dr. Pieroni (lovely) expecting perhaps a free follow-up or at least an apology. Nope, got neither, but a $438.10 bill. Thus, done with Ardmore Vet, and watch out for Elizabeth Martin.

If I could make a recommendation, it would be the friendliness of the front desk staff and ability to explain billing. Whenever I ask questions abt the bill, I never receive a good explanation and just take it home to figure out myself. Overall though, my dog's care is what's most important here and they provide excellent service!

Dr B is thorough with his exams and takes time to explain exactly what is happening with our dog. I especially like that we are seeing a vet and not an AHT for all the exam. I also like their practice model in that you do t make an appt, you just show up. They do triage the patients but we have never waited too long.
