Rarely do I write reviews... and if I could give a 0/5 stars I would. I dropped off a machine washable rug (brand: Ruggable 10x14 rug) on a Monday. The lady at the counter couldn't give me a price, but said she would call me back after she spoke with someone. She was guessing between $300 to $60 dollars (huge variance). I said, please call me with a price before you do anything (this is a machine washable rug that can be done at a laundrymat for about $25, but would rather drop it off than hassel with it). She said ok, no call and two days later, I return (Wednesday) and ask what is happening with the rug, and she says "no one called you!? It's going to be $60 dollars". I say, "ok, when will it be ready?" she says "Monday". I call on Monday (of the next week), asking if my rug is ready, she says yes. I come in. I ask the front desk lady for the rug, she says its ready, and looks for it... it is where I left it a week ago (in the front, still folded) - still dirty. She goes back into the computer and says, "oh, this needs to go to the other store, they have the large washer, and it will stay overnight and comeback." ok.... "it will be ready on Wednesday." I go to pick it up on Thursday (almost 2 weeks later), their store hours on google are on the picture attached (Thursday 8-7pm), they are closed, the sign says 6pm. I show up on Friday to pick it up, and she is like "no one called you?" I reply, yet again "no, no one has ever called me" - she replies "oh, we couldn't wash it. we couldn't get the machine going"... she stares blankly at me, and I say do you think I can get my rug back then? "oh okay, lemme look for it". Almost 15 minutes later, she brings back the rug in a balled up mess, and I say, I can't even get it back folded? Get your hours posted correctly. Call customers back when you say you will or if there is a problem. Have your stuff ready when you say it will be ready. If you can't do something, its okay to say this isn't a service we can provide. This was literally the worst service ever, mostly because of complete lack of communication. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I dont know what happened to this place? Service used to be good. If I could give negative stars I would! I was told a price for service and dropped of the item. Which was promised within a reasonable time, 3 days. I cam in to pick up the item and was told that it's not ready, and that whoever told me that was wrong, and that it takes 7 days! Um, the lady worked there!! That's who told me 3 days! If you are an employee, you need to know this! I was also told the price when I dropped it off. When I went to pick it up 7 days later, suddenly it's a different price and now 50% more than what I was told initially! This place is the worst, do not ever go use their service. This place has really great service and cool people working there. I couldn't go and buy a suit for my cousins wedding in AZ since everything is closed around here. I needed a fresh suit to be cleaned and pressed right away. They had no problem and took care of me. I know I'm going to look slick and clean. I had been so busy working. Stay Away. "After indicating to one particularly obnoxious young woman that I felt one of my shirts had been damaged by them, she snarled at me, "You mean to say WE did this?!" " The experience above is one I can completely relate to. After being a loyal customer for 18 months (out of pure convenience, not price or service), I was returned a pair of slacks which had ripped halfway up the leg. The employee came up with every excuse she could think of: cheap material, the way I put the pants on, poor treatment to try to remove all blame for their mistake. With no offer to repair the damaged slacks or even fully apologize, I will GLADLY take my business elsewhere. The staff is super friendly & helpful... rarely do I go to the cleaners.. but the hubby just LOVES to dry clean all his close at once so we occasionally go & typically only in California. I got my comforter cleaned hear & when I picked it up it was wrapped in a nice clear zipped up bag that made the comforter look like I just purchased a new one! Always a pleasure to pick up my dry cleaning. If any issues they call and offer to mend or do extra cleaning to fix. I am very picky as these are my work clothes and my daughters as well. My experience with this drycleaner tonight was the last straw! We had used them before for a while, but I noticed that on occasion they would dryclean some of my shirts, even when we specifically asked them to launder them, and then charge almost 5 dollars per shirt. So I ended up going to another drycleaner for about a year, unfortunately they closed so we went back to this place to give them a second chance. Bad decision. After using them for a few months now, I had two shirts with broken buttons, not that big of a deal... Then I had another shirt that was ripped on the right sleeve. When my wife brought it home, she pointed it out and said that the drycleaner told her it was already there. I was 100% sure that rip was not there. Ironically, a few other people here that have reviewed them here said that they also had their clothes ripped. Of course this dry cleaner will always blame it on you. Super classy! The final straw was when I went to pick up our cleaning today and they chose to dryclean four of my shirts and charge me $5 each when we specifically asked for them to be laundered. When I'm asked them why they drycleaned them, the lady behind the counter said that she "thinks" she remembers telling my wife that dry cleaning would be better, even though the shirts were Nordstrom no-iron wrinkle-free laundery only dress shirts??? There was absolutely no reason to dryclean these and when I mentioned this to my wife she said she once again specifically asked for them to be laundered and NOBODY suggested dry cleaning. Basically, they choose to charge you more and lie about it when you ask them. I will never go back to this place and hopefully they eventually learn that ripping clothes and overcharging customers isn't a sustainable business model. read more

I am quite disappointed with the service here. I came in wanting to get my jeans hemmed and tapered. I asked for an estimate and the lady behind the counter answered "I think $10. Or it could be $14. I am not sure." I asked if she knew who would know the prices and she had no idea. She had no idea how much it would be to taper and quite frankly, I am not sure if she even knew what I meant. It was as if she was faking as an employee there and had no idea what she was doing. I have come to this place for about 3 years. but I will stop coming. I brought MEN'S dress shirts to be LAUNDERED, these don't need dry cleaning. Came back to get them and they dry cleaned (!) and to rub salt to my wound, they charged over $4 per shirt. Didn't want to argue wt them. I'm taking my business elsewhere. There's a place in Tustin that will press men's shirts that were washed at home for $2.25 a piece. Do this if you dislike ironing. read more

Took a pair of new black jeans. Never been washed. The cleaner faded them to thw point they look old. I tried to explain this to the lady and she insisted I complain to the store and get a refund like it's the store fault my pants look gray now. These are 501 jeans not wranglers. $50 jeans destroyed by us cleaners. She furthers tell me about all her other customers she has faded their jeans. Blue jeans and black jeans. This cleaners close to my office. My shirts, pants and outdoor clothes servicing and Some atteration are made. Outdoor clothes are sometime sweaty smelly after clean and wash but this store has very special. Goretex are need to special care because detergent, rinse and spinning must be follow the mfg's guide. One of my $500 goretex are no longer waterproof after heavily washed with other cleaners. Alterations are good job. read more

Service is friendly and knowledgeable. My beef with this place you ask? I took a $300.00 leather jacket in that I was wearing during my motorcycle accident. Needless to say it was covered inside and out in dry blood. They told me the charge would be $37.00 and would take two weeks since they send leather out to be cleaned. No problem right? Wrong. I returned in two weeks and the jacket wasn't ready. They told me to come back in a week. Okay that was understandable considering the amount of blood. When I returned in a week, the soft guess leather jacket was stiff and about a size smaller. Okay well I guess that's just part of the process. So I pull out my money to pay and the girl rings me up for $59.00. WTF? She told me because they had to do a second cleaning it cost more. I understand but shouldn't they have told me before? Anyhow I ended up paying more than told, receiving back a jacket that was in fair condition to how I brought it in and all in all I am unhappy with this establishment. Right in line with how BAD service is on many things nowadays, this place excels. My previous dry cleaners who were friendly, courteous, and completely professional sold to a surly couple who had ZERO bedside manner and gave disinterested dry cleaning service. I then went to two others before landing at U.S.Cleaners, close to my work. Initially things started out pretty good, despite the fact that the owner completely failed to train her employees to smile, and use words like "please" when speaking with customers. After indicating to one particularly obnoxious young woman that I felt one of my shirts had been damaged by them, she snarled at me, "You mean to say WE did this?!" After exchanging a few words I realized I would again be on the hunt for a new dry cleaners, and left. When I later called to discuss this with Janice, the owner, she demanded my name (as if that had anything to do with a complaint) before she would go further in the conversation, which I had no intention of giving her because it was not relevant. Realizing that this LOUSY business owner apparently feels that her rude employee is the one who pays her bills and keeps her doors open, I wound up hanging up on her. As a small businessman myself, it is mind-numbing how customers just accept horrible treatment from so many services as a normal part of doing business, and that our expectations have fallen so incredibly low.
