I told her it was supposed to be $73 value. Anyhow, I was told I would have to pay $15 extra to get gel, but then she agreed to make it $10 extra because the Groupon value was so inflated. I paid $53 for a $45 manicure... Avoid the Groupon! So that was the initial pricing drama... Then for the manicure. The hot stone massage was decent. Then she was shaping my nails which were short to begin with and she just gave up on shaping. I had to ask her to please at least smooth them out. So unshaped nails and then came the polish... She did it so spotty and didn't even get it to the edges. Literally the worst polish job I've had yet. No cuticle work, so I looked at my nails when she finished and they already looked like they were a week old. At this point I had gel polish on my nails and there was nothing that could be done unless I got it fully redone. It took 2 hours from start to finish, so there was no way I could wait around any longer. They agreed that it didn't look great, but said there was nothing they could do and still charged me the extra amount for the gel polish and claimed my Groupon. The lady was nice (I believe her name was Tammy) but it seemed like it was hard for her to see super well and that's why the attention to detail was off. I attached the description of the express service- nowhere it says 20 minutes or the fact that job will be half way done. I questioned the price to value ration since $40 for 20 min means $120/hour and I know college graduates and nurses who don't make $120/h. When I checked out, I was told that if I pay with card is $4 more. This is another way to make money as the card fee is 3% for in person charge which is $1.2. I paid cash, but have not received a receipt. The disappointment was doubled when I learned that she was the owner of the nail salon.
