The message also said a note was left on the door- but there was no note. I had to go online and reschedule delivery for Tuesday. Tuesday came and went no delivery, no update to the status... nothing. I called Wednesday and spoke to a rep who advised the mail carrier was a woman who probably couldn't carry the mattress and they would see if they could get a man to deliver today if someone would be there. That's great and hope they get it delivered... I will update this review if they do get it delivered today. My issue is, why didn't said female Mail carrier coordinate with someone on Monday or the reschedule Tuesday? Shouldn't it be their actual job to make sure the mail, packages ect gets delivered?! Why is it the customer's job to get it figured out?! I'm thankful that i found a phone number to call directly to the Lawrence PO because I tried the 800 number yesterday and was on hold for 40 mins and no one ever came to the phone and the website did nothing for me. I rescheduled on the website like I was instructed by the automated system and you see nothing was resolved or even updated. I had to call myseland get it taken care of... hopefully. Typically this branch has one person working the front. Sometimes there will be two. I personally don't think that's as big of a hassle as others, at least not the majority of the time. Sure, if you're expecting to be in and out in five minutes then sometimes you'll be disappointed. Sometimes. But waiting is apart of life, so give yourself more like ten or fifteen minutes if you're going at a high traffic time (lunch break, right after work, etc.) or any time you're going to need to be somewhere after in a hurry and you'll be okay. ;) I was just in yesterday, five days before Christmas, and the two women working were moving people along as quickly as they could (which was actually really efficient and quick) AND they were doing so very cheerfully. They talked to everyone - the person they were serving, the people in line chimed in if they had something to say, too. It was really a wonderful experience and not something I was expecting so close to Christmas when they're busy and people tend to be less patient. I had five packages that had to be weighed, address checked, and postage applied to... the woman working handled it all with me in just a handful of minutes. Swift and speedy! It's not always like that - sometimes the employees are a little less energetic, but who doesn't have those days at work? To me, this post office gets the job done just fine - and even better than fine on plenty of my visits. I purposefully choose to use this branch the majority of the time, so do with that what you will.

Gang, this experience was rough. For starters, they were super busy with a line that barely moved…read more(both inside and at the sec checkout kiosk). Second, the staff didnt seem very proactive in problem solving some of the issues that arose during our visit. I stepped up to the sec service kiosk and one of the workers was operating it (not so self service). She quickly tapped in my order of 80 postcard stamps and after it started realized that it was individually printing each stamp (with no folding edges). The process of printing each stamp ended up taking 20 minutes!! Keep in mind, this is after I already waited 15 min in line to get to the kiosk. I asked if she had postcard books that she could swap out so we wouldn't have to wait and she laughed and shook it off - "you're going to be here for awhile!". At this point, I was stick after spending nearly $50 on the stamps. I asked another worker who walked by if she could help and she said I'd have to go inside and wait in line (which would require leaving the stamps as they're printing...). Overall, a frustrating experience. It seems that this location could use a little more coaching/improvements. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.

I have been to the counter once and the employee was very nice. I have been at many different times of day and there always seems to be a few people in line. There is a lobby area with PO boxes and then there is the service area, and they have different hours. It's not the nicest place or the nicest part of town, but the parking is very easy.
