this is the worst US post office I have ever been too. First of all, I assume the staff are lazy. It's because there were many times I was at home waiting for my packages to be delivered on a Saturday and later found out a delivery slip to pick up my package at the post office, as if I were NOT there and missed the delivery. Basically they didn't even bother to ring my bell and deliver my package, just left a piece of paper and made me pick it up myself. That was when the nightmare began. There was always a long line before they open at 9 am. And the service is so damn slow. So I never could pick it up during weekdays and had to make my way there at weekend because someone didn't do their job. So there was one time I tried to move my package to the office by my work, so i could pick it up dying weekday during lunch break. And I waited for 2 weeks and i was never there! As a result, my package was label 'unknown status/ missing' - and later one I found it was never moved and was sitting there at this same post office. They returned it to the seller after 1 month of having 'NO ONE' to pick it up. In short, I hate going to this post office very much. Unfortunately, the only way not to deal with it is to move to a new house. read more

Worst post office ever, staff very unprofessional, they pick up the phone just so it would stop ringing, you hear staff in the background having conversations, joking around etc. it's ridiculous that you can't call a federal agency to get info on your package that the fools decided not to ring the doorbell in the first place just because they are too lazy to walk to upstairs to my apt. I wish I didn't have to give them a star. I will be following this up with a 311 call. read more

Truly awful. Packages are NEVER left if the person isn't home - but the catch is that, nine times out of ten, they will never even check if you're home. And most of the time, you'll never even know your package got to them at all. It's a miracle if I just get a slip left behind, but all too often I have to look online only to see that yet AGAIN, delivery was "attempted" and a slip was "left" - the people who work here are absolutely incompetent. And good luck getting your package - I've waited over an hour in line on a Saturday afternoon. The supervisor won't take complaints seriously because it's not like we have a choice anyway. Get your packages sent to your work or to a friend in a better neighborhood. read more

I gave the five stars because I usually get great service from my mailman and the folks who deliver packages. I purposely order a lot of my amazon packages so I can get them delivered by USPS on the weekend. They usually come early and I appreciate their service. However, on Sunday May 14, I was waiting around for my package to be delivered and had to leave home late in the afternoon. Upon leaving my apartment I found that my package was placed on the first floor by the letterbox area. There was no attempt to bring it to my apartment, no one rang my bell, and obviously the worker was able to get into the bldg. Apparently, it was appropriate to leave my package on the first floor where residents and visitors (strangers) to the bldg have to pass. The elevator was in working condition, so there was no need to leave my package unaccompanied. I am thinking that the mail delivery people who usually deliver were on Holiday because of Mothers Day, I don't know. What I do know is that this was unusual. Again, My mailman is exceptional and I usually get great service from the postal workers I have come in contact with delivering packages to me. I am hoping that this will not happen again. It is unusual, and I don't want to make a federal case out of it, but I was really annoyed, I wouldn't have known that the package was on the first floor exposed if I hadn't had to leave my apartment. It was irresponsible. The worker at least should have left the package at my apartment door if he/she didn't want to make contact with the public. read more

I get lot of packages from Amazon and mostly they use the mail. Waiting all day for a delivery that shows "out for delivery" all day, and right before I go to sleep. There is nothing more infuriating then waking up to find it was scanned "delivered, available for pickup" in that past afternoon. That means, to the rest of the world it has been delivered, but I look at my hands, and they are still empty. I paid for delivery to my home....NOT to the post office. I can request a re-delivery every day for a week, but they will ignore it. Why? because it has been delivered. Now if i really want this package, i must pay to take the bus, both ways, then wait on a long, long, long line. On my lunch hour. But its gotten to the point that I just reorder the item, and let the post office return it. There is my next problem. Amazon ships 2nd day delivery. The post office holds it for 2 weeks, then sends it the "slow boat to china" route, which takes another 2 weeks. I wish the post office would stick to what its good at, delivering envelopes, and leave the packages to the professionals, like UPS and FedEx read more

This is the worst post office known to man! The workers are terrible and you would think that the supervisors would be better but you are sadly mistaken. If it were up to me I would shut this place down! Every experience I had with this post office has been horrible. The customer service there sucks. The workers are rude and not helpful at all. I want to know who hires these people??? What pisses me off the most is the fact that the mailmen never deliver your packages!!! You could wait at home all day for your package to come in but when you check the mail you get a notice stating "Sorry, we missed you"!!! How did you miss me when I've been home all day??? Why couldn't they just ring the bell??? But no that would imply that they are actually doing their jobs!!! I honestly think this place should be revamped with complete new workers that actually do their jobs and have great customer service skills. This place doesn't even deserve one star. This place lacks so much. God help your soul if you have to pick up anything from there or even drop off your package! Oh and guess what??? They're thieves too!!! I can't tell you how many of my packages that I had stolen from that very place. And when you try to report it and get answers all I got was "Oh, the mailman said that he puts all the packages in the mailbox". YEAH RIGHT!!!! read more

So let me tell you a little bit about what I've been going through for the past couple days trying to get a package. I have no idea how it is this place gets away with not delivering packages but I'm going to assume it's because it's located in a low income neighborhood. I guess I'll have to wait until a senators son or daughter moves into this zip code and has to deal with this hot mess of a delivery service before this place cleans up it's act. My package was supposed to be here three days ago. The delivery person lied and said they made a delivery attempt and left a notice. They do this in my neighborhood so they don't have to get out of the truck and actually go into buildings. They also like to just fill out those little Salmon slips that will steal hrs from your life for most of their packages for the day and deliver those, so they don't have to walk around with the actual packages during their route. I was home when they said they attempted, I noticed right away because I was monitoring the tracking. I ran outside and tried to find the truck. I can do this sometimes and catch them down the street. Unfortunately I found two trucks neither of which were willing to admit they do my address, even though one was actually a block down, on my street. I called them when I got back to my apt. and after an hour on hold, I was able to speak to someone and reschedule for the next day. The following day, the tracking showed that it was in fact not being redelivered but that it was available for pick up. I went and stood in line at the post office for an hour and half with the 50 or so other residents of my neighborhood who also don't get their mail delivered. They tell me it's still on the truck even though the tracking says otherwise. I wait again at home for delivery. Since the tracking still says it's ready for pickup later in the day, I go back to the post office and wait in line again for another hour before they close. Again I am told even though it says on the tracking, available for pickup, that it is indeed not in the building. I go home call again, wait on hold for another hour and get someone that tells me that they basically have no idea where it is. This post office and it's delivery people are a friggin' joke close your doors forever and save us all the horror of dealing with people that have no interest in doing their job. read more

This post office is a truly a nightmare. Always inefficient and chaotic. They have on more than one occasion not been able to find my packages when I go to pick them up, resulting in multiple trips and more wasted time. I am writing this review because most recently they have completely lost a package of mine with some valuable software that was shipped to me. I have made three trips to this post office concerning this package now as well as spoken with the supervisor several times. She keeps telling me she'll call me back after looking into it, but doesn't fulfill her promise. I had to call the 800 number to launch an investigation. Ultimately if the package isn't located, the postal service offers no refund on the value of the package, so I am out the cost of the software as well, since the seller did not have the foresight to insure the order. No wonder the US Postal Service is in dire financial straights. I would highly recommend never using this post office. If you move to this area, it would be well worth your time and money to pay for a postal address with a private mailing service company, or use one of the major third party couriers to have anything delivered. If this post office were a private company and not supported by federal funds it would have gone out of business long ago and most of its employees fired. read more

this post office is crazy I have had several packages come up missing !!! I have had these issues pushed up to consumer affairs and still nothing !! I have had my customers go up there and have to wait in line all to get told my the rude ass management that they don't no what to tell them this is by far the worse post ever I believe that there employees are stealing!! and they have to do anything about it because they have gotten away with it for so long read more

The only reason this place is getting one star is because I had to leave something in order to write a review. I moved to the neighborhood in Dec from about a mile away. At my old place, I lived near a post office that was terrible so I was excited to be coming to a new zip hoping that this one would be better. That excitement has quickly dissipated. I believe that every post office in BK sucks because this one is the pits too (I grew up in Manhattan and the BX and never even dealt with anything this bad). The line is always long and ridiculous no matter when you go, don't ever expect to actually get your package redelivered, and don't ever expect to actually get help from anyone. If you call the national help line they just pull up the same tracking info you already saw on your own computer. In my case, I rescheduled the delivery of the package twice and it never came both times (this is not the first time I'm experiencing this with shoddy redelivery period, but at least the last time I finally did get my package). They never even updated the info after the initial redelivery was scheduled. It's going on two weeks. Mind you, I work from home Mon-Fri so I am around 90% of the time. I've called the national line countless times and all they do is stuff you can do for yourself like file a complaint that no one probably reads. I filed a complaint. I even tried calling the local branch and of course no one answers the phone. I am physically not in a position right not to stand in line for as long as would be necessary, so I'm basically assed out. I hate that you can't always control who delivers your packages (like how Fedex will transfer to USPS, etc). This is just not right. read more

this is the worst mailing service ever. I've been living within this area since i was a child and i ALWAYS have an issue with this place. they never deliver my package and i have to schedule redelivery, one week later my redelivery request never occurred, so i requested it again, same nonsense, lazy postman doesn't bring my package. so i have to take time off to go stand on a line for over an hour to pick up a tiny box. Again the online site i purchase from uses this stupid post office to send my item, i wake up to an alert saying an attempt was made, while i was home, i check my mail and i see no ticket saying an attempt was made. please fire the people there, and hire someone who is competent. i wouldn't mind pocking up my item, but if everyones story sound like mine, then there is something internally wrong with how this location operates. long lines, no redelivery, bad delivery, i don't even want to give this place 1 star, there should be a 0 star option! read more
