I watched a mail truck pull up to the block of post office boxes on our street. Hyde Park Beachwood. An individual gets out of the truck with mail in his hand and tied to open the array of boxes. Does not succeed. Goes back into his truck, and then tried again. Still unable to open the boxes to deliver the mail. Drives off. NO MAIL delivered. To add insult to injury , to call the Beachwood post office there is the 800 number - USPS National Customer Service. What a joke that was. 10-15 minute wait for a live person. All other local post offices have a LOCAL number. read more

come on it's a post office. But I have to say even though the location is very convenient. There are two ways to get here one entrance from Cedar Road and one off of Lander Road. They have outside mailboxes for after hours and inside it's just like any other post office... including the typical unhappy and grumpy workers. I really can't figure it out. If their job is so bad why don't they quit and get a job that makes them happy? I mean they are lucky enough to have a job with normal hours, great job security and benefits so why so grumpy? And why take it out on us? I swear I have a panic attack when I wait in line because I know how mean and awful they are going to be. read more

I had a very pleasant experience. This post office is pretty busy and stays open later than the others in nearby areas. I really needed to mail a package, and was so glad they were open. I witnessed an employee helping a lady at the self service machine, who was struggling. He was very patient when she took a phone call. He remained calm as the line grew behind her and verified she was ok before walking away to assist the customers in the line inside. Though busy, this location was efficient. The employee showed grace under fire. The USPS gets a lot of slack, so I am proud to brag about this good experience. read more

In all my 62 years I never thought I would leave a review for a post office, but here goes. Our oldest daughter is getting married in August 2020. Our family spent many hours constructing the custom wedding invitations a couple weeks back. While my daughter lives in Lake County, our youngest daughter (who works in Beachwood) volunteered to take the invitations to the Beachwood Post Office which is close to her workplace. She went in and personally gave a box of over 100 invitations to the clerk on Tuesday, Monday, June 30. We knew that we would "lose a day" since the USPS would not be open for business on July 4 but when Monday (July 6) came an no one received the invitations, our youngest daughter went to the Post and asked if the invitations were mailed or perhaps misplaced. She was rudely responded to by a clerk saying she should expect them to be delivered that fast. We waited until Thursday, July 9 and still no delivered invitations, My wife called the post office and was told they were mailed. On that same day my daughter received the entire box of unmailed invitations mailed back to her house! There were no notes or explanation, just the taped up box of stamped invitations. She immediately brought them to another (Lake County) post office branch and many were actually received by the next day (Friday, July 10). I have never heard of nor experienced such poor mail service in my life. Was this stupidity, gross incompetence, or pure spite? Now I see there are many negative reviews of this local post office and I can see why. read more

Why all the hate in reviews? There were 8 people ahead of me when I arrived and yet I was still out in 15 minutes. I found the postal employees to be polite and efficient - and certainly more so than at other locations. Plus, this post office is tidy, up to date, and offers a substantial selection of mailing supplies. To all of the disgruntled customers out there, pease consider the following approach. Be realistic. Email is faster than ground mail, right? Well, so too are their delivery systems. The Post Office is not the Internet! The Internet is instantaneous, personally customized, and responsive to millions simultaneously. Real people, however, function at a human pace and deal with people one at a time - including you. Be sensible. Would you charge a bathroom stall at the same time as someone else? Plan to avoid peak times, such as the days leading up to x-mas, valentine's, or tax day. Be patient. The PO serves all people, ranging in age, education, and financial means. All are equally entitled to receiving accurate information and a purchase which they understand. Attitude. If I could give zero starts I would. This place is full of rude usps employees and liars. On two instances I returned things to retailer via prepaid postage and the retailers never got it. To this day, a year later, the tracking shows it is in their distribution center. Every time I go ask about it I am told it is in the process. What the hell. What I understand is someone is enjoying the products that were in those packages while I lose hundreds of dollars. Rude, unethical, least helpful group of employees ever. Why am I reviewing a post office? I don't know. Everyone knows that the post office is the WORST PLACE in the world. I get it. You're angry; I'm angry. Everyone hates the post office. But at this one, not ONLY do you get to wait for a painfully long time (more than 30 minutes) during your cherished lunch break, but you get to be abused by disgruntled public servants while you're at it. Avoid, obviously. You probably won't find a shorter wait anywhere else, but you may find nicer people that don't want to burn you for filling out your addresses on the front counter. Or, you know. Try to do something like buy stamps. Or send a package. Etc. read more

This is the absolute worst post office I have ever dealt with in my life. They have managed to lose 2 of my packages in 2 months. I have also experienced my mail carrier updating the tracking as "delivered" for my package when they haven't delivered it & updating tracking for my package as "delivered" days before it has been delivered. Customer service is a joke!!! When they lose your package, the branch manager calls you with the exact same information your tracking number provides, insincerely apologies & does nothing else to resolve the issue. The call is pointless. Please don't call me without updates or a plan to try to resolve the issue. I would rather just get a PO Box but even that won't ensure I get my mail. It's like a game of Russian roulette. I only gave them 1 star because I had to in order to post my review. They definitely provide zero star customer service. read more

I recently shipped three pre-labeled packages because I was selling online. Two of them successfully got delivered to their recipient, however one is nowhere to be found. The package has no history of being shipped at all. I don't think it ever left the post office. A week after shipping my package that never got shipped I went into the post office. The man helping me said he wasn't sure where the package is. This is not helpful at all to me considering it was a designer purse and now neither me or the recipient have this item and I lost money. Does not seem fair. Tried to call customer service and was not able to reach an operator. Terrible service. No one wants to help out customers here even when it is their fault. read more

Great service. New 24 hour kiosk is awesome for mailing letters, large envelopes and packages within the US, and also for buying stamps.

It has very low efficiency work in this office. I thought I can get my package in 5min. When I arrived there at 10am, a person was standing in front of me. He was waiting for his package for more than 30 minutes until he got his stuff. unbelievable!!!!!!! ! want to start by saying that I work in a general office as a customer service rep and I'm very aware that sometimes while trying to service the public issues can arise, however the way you address the issue and the professional tone and having ANY desire to resolve the issue is key in providing customers quality service! A very important package of mine all but evaporated from the post office in the federal building. I was put in contact with the supervisor she returned my call with a tone unexceptable for Mc Donalds. My package was returned to sender with no reason given the information has been verified for IRS and the acting supervisor of the Post office no concern in resolving the issue. Waited in line for 30 minutes. I was the 3rd person in line. 1 clerk on tax day, really? I was patient and only had a question on a returned piece of business mail. I got an attitude from the woman clerk and was dismissed! Clerk was unwilling or not capable of giving me the total cost to mail my package. She gave me 3 amounts. The Beachwood Ohio Post Office has the most incompetent bunch of insipid liars working their I have ever seen. I have been dealing with this lousy post office for 20 years, I have the misfortune of having to have them deliver my mail, that is delivered to everyone but me. This week has been the worst ever. They lost my stimulus check and lied about it. USPS Informed Delivery sent me a copy via email of the check along with 4 other pieces of mail. Everything was delivered accept the check. When I called the manager got smart with me and said there was no check, I could not have seen an image of the check. I have been there in person twice this week to be threatened by the manager and made to feel uneasy about them delivering my mail.n She actually told me to get out, this woman forgets who pays her salary I do and other taxpayers. I've had so many issues with this post office. They've lost a few of my packages for example. Most recently, they were just super rude. I got to the post office minutes before they closed (as verified on my phone), but they had closed up already and refused to service me. Supposedly, their "official time" is based on an analog clock on the wall, which I guess was running a little fast. (I doubt it works the other way though, ie. they opening early). read more
