Typically, I am very anxious when I have to get things done at a post office because I tend to have bad experiences. I saw good reviews here and was skeptical. However, I am so glad I came to this post office to get my kids' first US passport applications done. The staff were polite, cordial, and friendly. A very different atmosphere and vibe from any other post office I have ever been to. Tip: I recommend making a morning appt here to handle your kids' passports. Book directly at this specific post office's site. The main USPS passport appt site is always broken. I learned this the hard way. We were in and out under 15 minutes despite 2 toddlers messing around. Plenty of parking. The only thing is the drive up is a little windy but worth it for no wait! Checks are required for the application fees to the US Department of State. Credit Cards are accepted for the application acceptance fees to the post office.

We had an appointment for my son's passport this morning at 11:30am. We were in and out in 6 minutes. It helped that I had both checks written out already. One for $130 (no rush) made out to U.S. Department of State and the other for $35 made out to USPS (but you can pay cash or card for the $35 charge) I can see where it can get pretty busy though as residents are in and out getting their mail and packages. Plenty of parking. Gentleman helping us was very nice and efficient. Overall an awesome experience!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR PASSPORTS! This is a small staff of usually two workers who are already overwhelmed with regular postal work. You are much better off going to the large San Ramon Location on Alcosta to get passports. Expect long wait times even with appointment at this one.

Wow beat kept secret indeed! It is across the golf course from the clubhouse... in a gorgeous historic building. Getting there was an adventure lol, but well worth the time. When driving up, do not turn left into the clubhouse; rather, bear right up toward the "upper parking lot."

I always try to be friendly and respectful to all workers. I have worked in customer service for years and owned a business and believe in treating others as you would like to be treated. I come in to the Alamo Post Office and I am in a very good mood and end up leaving feeling horrible due to what I believe as deliberate passive aggressive behavior towards me from Ali. I understand it can be very frustrating to work in this industry, but to take your anger out on customers is not right. I could tell he was frustrated because the tape in his register to print my label broke off in the machine and he was frustrated. I could feel he was angry and took his frustration out on me and was deliberately trying to provoke me by telling me to move aside, because he didn't want to deal with my package shipping to Canada because it takes longer to process, then he tells me to fill out a form which took less than 30 seconds so he could push me aside to wait on the next customer. I felt ignored and dismissed. He takes at least 10 minutes with this customer and is nice as pie to her and others who walk in and deliberately ignores me, snaps at me for not signing the form and prolongs my wait again. I feel it was done intentionally by his actions. After he is done with this customer he delays me again and says he has to go lock the front doors because it was 5pm closing time, and he didn't lock the doors actually because a customer walks in afterwards to ask about getting a passport. Again, he stops finishing my transaction and continues to chat with the postal worker next to him as if I am not in front of him. He was deliberately ignoring me to provoke a reaction out of me to justify his dismissive behavior. It was so obvious by his behavior. I told him I was frustrated because I was returning a damaged product and for me to have to spend over 30 minutes in the post office, to make a return and pushed aside disrespectfully when I was kind to him is wrong. Then, he tells me it is $43 to ship my very small box to Canada and the cheapest rate, he thinks, but says I can come back tomorrow because his computer is only showing $43 as the cheapest and he cannot or will not try and figure it out because obviously I am not worth his time, and after he has made me wait almost 30 minutes!! I could maybe understand his disrespectful behavior towards me if I was a rude customer, and I was NOT. The last 3 times I have gone into this post office it has been extremely long wait times, their computers aren't working online or the tape breaks in the register...and unreasonable wait times. They use very antiquated systems as well. I will NEVER go here again. UPS across the street is much more efficient.

I had a suspicion something was blocking the key from turning as we have never changed the locks. After calling many times with no answer, and filing two reports online and in person, I went to this post office location. The manager of this location in Walnut Creek had someone managing my route extract all of my mail for me and hand deliver it to me at an agreed upon meeting time. She was such a nice person she had completed her route in my area and drove back to help me, which I needed as it's tax time and my mailbox had been blocked for 2 weeks. It turned out to be a massive Restoration Hardware marketing magazine I never ordered or wanted that was taking up so much space it blocked my key from turning the lock to open it all the way. A big thanks to the manager and route driver for finally getting this solved for me! I'm not surprised the phone tree and main online report didn't work. USPS seems short staffed. But the people in our local community came through. Thanks a bunch. :)

I come from Castro Valley to this UPS store because everyone has always been extremely friendly and helpful. The one in Castro Valley not so Much. You can see my Precious reviews as well. I came here last week and spoke to Maddie about doing an overnight shipping which cost close to $200. She was most helpful. I've always received great service until today. I noticed that this gentleman was present last week and was not very personable with other customers so I opted to wait for Maddie. Today when I walked in, Maddie was busy with another issue and the same gentleman who later told me his name was Jesus helped me and basically said it's five bucks to deal with this issue or you deal with it. I understand that a business needs to make money, but this literally would've only taken a few strips of tape and I've been coming here for well over a year because they are helpful with small situations and don't charge extra when it's something minor. Clearly things have changed with Jesus. It's not just the decision to charge me five dollars, but it was his attitude and manner in which he spoke with me which was unacceptable and I won't be returning, and I can't imagine I'm the only one with this opinion.

Next thing I knew a couple came in and this other staff member came out to help. He looks at me asks what I needed and then said that he can't do that. So I have to wait for the employee that's currently helping another individual. Unfortunately for me, the lady in front of me took a very long time. In that time, the line backed all the way out the door. I waited a good 30 minutes before I was helped. My process took probably about 5 minutes. The young lady that was helping me was friendly enough. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this definitely wasn't it. I think because they are such a small store. They get very busy very quickly, and there really isn't any room for anyone to stand so the line backs up out the door. And unfortunately, when one customer brings in 30 packages to send back, it makes it difficult and a longer wait time for everyone else. Based on my service receivedand entire experience, I have to give this a 2.
