I'm disappointed more than anything with this post office. I stopped by the other day at 3:30 in the afternoon (weekday, not a holiday) and the door was locked. The lobby and access to the self-service machine used to always be open but now they close at 5:30 (supposedly). Who knows what the real hours are?! This location has one self serve kiosk and the hours are just a little bit longer than the normal post office hours. Other locations have two self serve kiosks and are 24/7. I hope they can add another self serve kiosk and extend the hours more. This location is still quite crowded with lines. I think adding another self serve machine will help alot. I dropped off the package on Jan 30. I always get status update on eBay of my track on package. My package was not showing it was scanned and moving from this USPS. So on February 11, I went to the store to ask the situation. I do not know her name, but she is tall brown lady. I told her my package was not moving for 13 days. She said file the claim. So I canceled my order for my buyer and apologized to her. On Feb 14 Saturday , the package was delivered to the buyer. I asked the buyer about package. She said she is on vacation and will not be back until Monday. Following Monday, I asked again she said not this Monday. I waited and asked again on February 23 Monday. She said she didn't receive the package. I claimed to usps about missing package. It was denied because it showed package was delivered to customer. They told me to wait until march 14 to appealed. I couldn't really explain the whole situation in my claim so I decided to call customer service on march 19. The lady who helped me over the phone was very helpful. She told me to write my situation on paper and also try to get written letter from usps employee who told me to claim for missing package because she said my package is lost because there were short staffs. I went to usps today march 20. Coincidentally the same lady was in the counter. I tried to tell her situation. As soon as she heard missing package, she said claim usps. I told her, it is not done yet, tried to explain the whole situation. She said she won't write the letter for me. Package was delivered. I understand it happened. I only upset about how easy for her to just say claim USPS. Not even wanted to help me. She kept saying thank you thank you for wanting me leave right away. Excellent Post Office! Staff here are friendly (yes, service with a smile on their face and in their voice!), knowledgeable, fast and super efficient. There are typically no line or a short line here (they're fast!) and don't be afraid of the line here if you see one... it moves fast! :) A special shout out to April... who is always super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable each and every time. This is the worst Post Office in the area. I made the mistake of going here today when I have already said I'll never go back. The three workers were chatting with a friend and told me to wait over at the desk and they would be there in a minute. I waited for a couple minutes and they finally came over. No apologies and continued talking to each other while they "helped" me. Very lazy and rude staff, they always make you feel like you're bothering them. Very rude service for a first time experience. Clerks kept talking over me. I was just dropping off a prepaid package since I was in the area & trying to ask if they carried the free ground advantage supplies I've been seeing on social media. Clerk had no clue referring to the supplies & kept putting words in my mouth. I've taken many hazmat packages before which contained perfume or holy water to different post offices in padded bubble mailers with the items being carefully packaged inside ( the website I use automatically populates liquid as hazmat) . They refused my package since it wasn't in a box & stated any other locations that accept it were trained incorrectly & are not following the rules. I took it to one of my usual post offices where they accepted it no questions or hassle. read more

The one time I have to go the window they can't give me a receipt and says it's my printer. Then instead of offering any other assistance, goes to another window and helps someone else. Never thought I'd give a gold star to a post office! I have been there twice in the last month, to get stamps that would amuse my grandkids and mail packages. I wish I'd paid attention to names. . . The two women who helped me had great advice for the best way to mail things and went to the trouble of finding stamps my grandkids would appreciate. I efficient, friendly, helpful. read more

Sometimes theres a long line but if they see you're just there to drop off a package theyll let you scoot up front and just take your package so you dont have to wait. also I have yet to encounter grinches here or just anyone that absolutely finds their lives so vile that they can't offer decent service to patrons. Usually this post office is pretty good. This review only pertains to Holiday Season (December): Word of advice- ARRIVE/GET IN LINE AT LEAST 30-60 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING. Otherwise they will tell you they cannot help you but will send you to the self-service kiosk. When it's the holidays, they will close the doors 15 -20 minutes before closing because they have to get all the mail/packages out on the road ~ 30 minutes after closing. Six of us came in 15-30 minutes before closing and a person ahead of us stated, "She (a postal worker) said we're the last one." Not so fun to hear if you came in way before closing time, but those are the unwritten rules. It's not their fault but they're swamped. read more

I've been coming to this post office for years and haven't had a negative experience. Sure, there can be long lines and expensive shipping costs. Staff can sometimes be a bit less friendly than you might want, but generally I've had positive experiences and everyone has stressful days. I wanted to call out the most recent visit I made. I went in to mail an envelope with passport renewal information. I went on a weekday afternoon and there was no line. The woman who helped me was friendly enough and efficient. As I was there, the customer next to me was being helped by another person. She asked how the woman was and the woman told her it was admittedly a tough day for her because it was the anniversary of one of her children's passings. The employee was so incredibly gracious and kind, she was sympathetic and supportive. She even walked all the way around the counter to the front to give the woman a big hug and say she was so sorry, no one should have to bury their child and he's in her heart forever. I was so touched by this moment and am grateful for people like this in the world. So 5 stars to this location and allll the stars for that employee and her willingness to go above and beyond and truly care about the customers. read more

I've been to this office 2 times and always have stellar service from the staff. April has exceeded my expectations in both of my visits and has been patient with answering any additional questions I've had. In my visits, I only had a small piece of mail to send out, nothing too complicated, so didn't think much of what experience I'd get when being helped. I was thoroughly impressed and was greeted with the utmost hospitality. April is good at her job and making sure it is done right. She welcomed me to visit the office again and I'd gladly take the offer when I'm in the area with a mail errand. read more

"Tips for an Exciting Post Office Experience!" Are you tired of the same old humdrum experience at the post office? Well, here's a way to make your experience at the post office one of the highlights of your day! I have literally mailed 10,000 packages from this post office, and I know a lot of the tricks. We have gotten to know many of the clerks, and found them to be courteous and professional. Well, most of them anyway. Well okay, some of them anyway. The clerks are typically quite efficient. My favorite clerk is Elmer. If you see Elmer, tell him Chris said hello. He will give you really good service then. I'm pretty sure he will hardly ever scream at you. I have noticed over the years that many of the problems are actually due to clueless customers. Many times, a customer will hold up the entire line as they try to get the clerk to package their item. Depending upon the clerk, they may be either patient or exasperated. So, don't be a clueless customer. The clerks don't usually scream at the customers. In all the times I have patronized this post office, not once have they screamed at me. And that's saying a lot. I'm pretty sure they wanted to scream at me a few times however. One time, I watched a person hold up a big line as they were deciding what illustration they wanted on the stamps. The clerk was very patient--far more patient than I would have been. I'm pretty sure I would have screamed at the customer. I probably would have thrown the stamps at them. Keep in mind however, that the post office is not designed to give you the cheapest price. In fact, they are encouraged to try to upsell you. In other words, they want to sell you the most expensive option, whether that is a good option for you or not. That's why they always ask if you want to send something "express mail." That is the most expensive way to send anything. So resist their offer! Resistance is not futile! Secret tip #1: If your item is half a pound or less, you can send it first class mail much cheaper than Priority Mail. It will arrive in the same time. Secret tip #2: If you have any type of media, you can send it Media Mail. It's about half the price of Priority Mail. Yes it's slower, but it's a heck of a deal. I can guarantee you the clerk will not tell you about that option. I hope you find these tips useful. If not helpful, at least none of the clerks will scream at you. read more

There is something strange going on at this post office. Someone is stealing my checks. Between June and September, 3 times my paycheck has gone missing. Twice they "found it" in the overflow bin, but nobody left a ticket saying anything was outside of my mailbox. When I asked, they said that they are training new staff, and maybe that new person forgot. Really? I also found out that 2 checks from my pet insurance have gone missing from July. None of these checks have been cashed yet, so, the person pilfering them is either mentally ill, or has some other nefarious issues. When I posted my complaint, I got a call from a person saying "there is nothing we can do." Really? What needs to happen is that someone who has integrity (Ha!) needs to do a serious investigation into mail theft. I guess they will hire anyone these days. Supervising much? read more

First this post office tried to refuse to scan all of my packages at the counter. I did have a lot but I wanted to get them scanned so I would have a receipt. No other post office has refused to scan in packages for me. And all of my labels are printed and on my packages ready to go so it's not a time thing because the person before me spent way longer to package and mail one package. I was visiting family from the next city over so decided it was easier to just drop at this post office on my way. They said that's not allowed and I need to take packages to the post office closest to my house. I've dropped at several local post offices without issue until this one. Oh then they proceeded to chat amongst themselves about shoes and stopping in the middle of my transaction for their chat. I also asked for a few of the free non flat rate priority boxes and the lady acted so put out that she had to walk to the other room to get it for me. I'm sorry if this is your local post office. I filed a complaint with USPS but wanted to share my experience here as well. There were lots of people in the post office lined up around 1:30 PM-around the same time I entered. The line continued to grow and just a few minutes before 2 PM a guy named Todd came out and told everyone that the doors are closing at 2 PM so basically they need to leave unless they have a drop off. People were obviously upset because they had been waiting in line for a long time and didn't know that they couldn't be helped after already being inside. Todd started immediately pretty much going off on everybody saying it's not his problem/it's not his fault over and over. He told people, "what did you expect for getting in line at 1:42 PM?" Some people asked what his last name was in order to file a complaint and he said, "I'm not telling you!" It was the craziest, most unprofessional, and rude customer service experience I've ever heard from any customer service employee in any industry. Although I was not affected and I was able to complete my service prior to the time USPS closed, I felt so bad for everyone else-not just for them getting kicked out but for the way they were talked to and the way they were kicked out by someone who was just so nasty and clearly didn't care about anyone. He was arguing with people and getting very loud. Such a nasty employee. Especially around this time of the year... so sad. read more

I needed to mail a present to my mom - before she left for a big trip. My husband hustled to make sure that we got to this location before they closed. With a little over 15 minutes to spare - I dashed into this post office. Already I could feel my heartbeat quickening - as I watched the staff interacting with customers. With a quickly forming line behind me - I saw one postal service agent - finish wrapping up a mail-out for a customer - and then proceed to sell her on stamps. The customer said she didn't need them, but the postal agent - proceeded to bring out a big book of stamps for her to peruse through. The line continued to grow behind me. Finally it was my turn. I told the postal agent that I wanted to mail something to England. He told me that we didn't have time - and they were going to close in 10 minutes. I assured him I would fill in the forms quickly and that I would hustle. The postal agent still insisted that we didn't have time. Excellent, polite service. I went at 4pm on a Wednesday, and there was only one person ahead of me. The clerk was polite beyond belief - asked me if she could have a drink of water before she helped me. And thanked me for letting her do so! All with an extremely cheerful attitude!! She also answered a few questions, gave me options regarding insurance, and was very efficient with the transaction. I came to this post office on Tuesday, March 10th 2020 around 10am. It was my first visit here, I usually go to the San Ramon post office on Alcosta Blvd. It will be my last visit to the Dublin location. I received terrible service from the two women who were working. They were rude, condescending and insulting. Their terrible personalities and the way they treated me ruined my entire day. In general every post office is a poor experience; lines are long, service is slow and the employees almost always have an attitude. FedEx and UPS are so much faster and efficient, and they employ friendly people. But the Dublin post office is especially bad. The US Postal Service is struggling right now, and I hope the two women I dealt with at the Dublin location lose their jobs. read more

This place is small, always packed, and parking is limited. Usually when I come there's only one window open.....sometimes 2 but never all 3 windows open. There's been times I ask for help about what's the cheapest way to mail a certain item and I ended up paying more for the item itself just because they helped me wrap it up and they talked me into doing priority mail. Now I know better. Most of the time they are friendly to me, but I witness rudeness to others. I think they are just overworked or just too relaxed with their jobs. Normal wait time here is 10 minutes. There was a time, I was in line for 20 minutes + Also, I wish they were open earlier. read more

I feel lucky to have a good post office close by; in the 20 years using this PO I have never had an issue with anyone, they have all been professional and nice. Alright so let me just add that I went back today and KIKI is a real piece of work. When I went in she was loudly complaining that a customer had embarrassed her in front of the other customers earlier today to her coworkers. I wonder why!! Don't bother coming here unless you want to encounter poor customer service from an older lady with short black hair with an accent . She refused to scan my letters. She only scanned two of them and asked me "What am I doing ?" as I gave her the items to be scanned . I felt it as me and I didnt want to touch the mail. This was embarrassing for me to be scolded in public . She said I had to go to the self check out service . I had 15 letters to send. I told her I never had to be told to go self service when I had this much letters & I stood in line so I can have it shipped ASAP . Isn't this why people choose to have their mail scanned at the counter !? I've come to this post office two days ago and often with no problem, too. The other employees at other post offices would scan the items,too. I told her I needed help I don't know how to use the machine . She would cut me off when I was talking . The 2 packages she scanned had left the Dublin post office right away because she physically scanned it while the others have not left the same time . The purpose people going to the service counter is to have the mail delivered ASAP . If I didn't want to be ASAP I would have not stand in line dropped the mail off or used the self service. They put up the Closed sign but I came in and asked the employees there for an exception to mail a certified letter to the IRS. The female clerk there was chatty and unfriendly, unprofessional. Just your usual post office. At times especially when the post office workers are gone for the day..the P.O. box area can be a mess. Overflowing garbage or even discarded junk mail can be seen on the ground. The workers are decent to pretty good. Sometimes it can be hard to wait at times, but the big thing can be the lines which can be uncontrollable at times due to the customers. So be prepared to wait if you come in late to ship out those packages. read more

The line was so long. The parking lot wasn't that packed though which was odd. I have perfected the art of using the automated postage machine so I was cool as a cucumber. I had two shirts to ship to my favorite Uncle in Arizona. I needed a package envelope for it and to buy postage. I pushed past the line to the area where the envelopes are on the wall. Found the appropriate size and squeezed back over to the table to prepare it. Threw my shirts in the Ready-Pac, wrote the correct address' and threw it down on the scale at the automated machine. Bing, bing, bing my postage was ready and my card was scanned. Looked over and the line was still crazy long and getting longer. There was no one near me though.
