Actually it's a big fat ZERO! After bill payments, birthday & Christmas cards mailed weeks in advance only to arrive days, weeks and in one instance a month late, all to local area addresses! I send letters using the drop box in Perrinville, and UPS for packages. No problems there. read more

The woman who works the counter at the Edmonds Post Office needs to do herself and the customers that come to the counter for service to find a job where she doesn't have to serve the public. She is rude, unpleasant and has yelled at me and now I see others too! She mumbles, probably because she has food in her mouth. When I asked her to repeat the answer to my question because I couldn't understand her she yelled at me in front of 3 people waiting in line. Life is too short to stay in a job you don't like. This post office used to be nice friendly place when I moved here 26 years ago but since the last personnel retired it has been absolutely terrible. I have been told incorrect amounts and can't afford to use this post office any longer. Fortunately I have choices and use other post offices where people are knowledgeable and friendly. Abraham Abraham is the only reason why I had a pleasant experience. The representative Kim was completely rude. She humiliated me in front of others. I have a learning disability and she made me cry in front of Threa. Guess she refused to give me a form she told me I had to drive to Kinko's or I could go find a printer because she refused to print out a form that the USPS request for my post office box I explained to her that I just drove from Tacoma to get my PO Box keys. She told me it was my responsibility for the simple fact, I paid online to go find a printer on my own accord to get the form she refused to give it to me. She told me she does not have a printer. She refuse to allow me to speak to a Supervisor She forced me to drive 4 miles away to the Perryville location. She was not wearing a name tag again humiliated me belittled me spoke down to me, refused her name any type of help. I walked out of their distraught despite driving 60 miles just to pick up my keys for $116. I've already paid for it for a PO Box I drove 4 miles to the Perryville location where I spoke to a wonderful man named Abraham. I explained my situation. He explained to me she should have been wearing her name tag she should have not refuse to provide me the form they do have a printer, and it is their responsibility to provide that form. She should have not spoke to me so rudely Abraham went above and beyond left his location at the Perryville location drove and followed me to the downtown Edmonds location. I'm sure there was some coaching opportunities done for our unkind representative, but despite that he provided me the paperwork and stayed there with me to complete me filling out the form he assisted me and then walk me over to make sure that my keys fit my mailbox. He went above and beyond, and if the postmaster in Olympia sees this reveal or any of the supervisors or management staff please Give praise to Mr. Abraham for going above and beyond because I was ready to ask and cancel my PO Box based off of Kim 's negative terrible customer service. I was appalled. She embarrassed me in front of strangers as well as my own 70-year-old mother who witnessed everything I would not suggest anyone go to the Edmonds location, but only to the Perryville location. Kim is a terrible representative for this location or even to represent USPS alone. read more

Same as everybody else: I've been yelled at by the woman with red hair. Is this like an Edmonds rite of passage? The most recent time I came here the woman left her desk at the front to go in the back and SCREAM at her coworkers, multiple times. Then when she was at the front she was curt, condescending, and downright rude to the mostly elderly population trying to mail their stuff. It was really a bummer. I usually use the machine to mail a package but surprise it's broken! So I go to the counter to mail it and am told "you have to write the address and return on the box", and called "NEXT" right in my face so I ask for a label b/c it's a reused tiny box with no room to write on it where there's no tape, she tells me "we have pens". "NEXTTTTTT!!". End of conversation. Terrible place with rude & condescending employee. Paid $30 to have an "guaranteed overnight" letter sent just to ensure it was delivered before I left the country. It sat in the Edmonds Post Office for TEN days. Finally delivered after 12 days. Ended up making international calls to correct their ineptness. I follow their policy & get a refund approved but wasn't back in Edmonds until July 2 & was told that's "too late" to collect. The same clerk that took the overnight letter then proceeds to get rude & reprimand me for not taking action sooner. Snapped at me when I said the letter never left Edmonds for 10 days. Told me it was my responsibility to stay on top of the delivery. Pathetic attitude & service! read more

I've been a frequent USPS user for my whole life and have lived in Edmonds for over five years now. The staff at the Edmonds location used to be very competent and mostly friendly. Since that crew retired, there is a kind young man who works there, but the young woman there is a terror. I can't believe she does customer service. She is clearly unhappy in her job. Dropped off a package that was all ready to be mailed with a tracking number going to Oklahoma. Four hours later, the customer contacted me, asking for the correct tracking number because she had placed her order with me that morning and she had just received a notice that it had already been delivered. This was going first class mail too. I looked up the package, and the Edmonds post office marked her package 90 minutes after I dropped it off there as delivered in Oklahoma. Contacted the customer service number at usps.com who told me they couldn't do anything yet, it was too soon, and check on the tracking the next day. I checked the tracking the next day and learned that the package had been scanned in Seattle at midnight and then was shipped off at 7 am. Updated my customer then checked the tracking daily till it arrived to her four days later. Not using the Edmonds post office anymore. read more

It's small but perfect for the town of Edmonds. If you're more of someone who is a get in-get-out type then this post office is perfect for you. They have two 15-minute parking spots on the street specifically for the post office and a VERY compact parking garage in the building. Of course, you'll want to avoid making a trip to the storefront during the holiday rush or you'll be waiting for a good 30+ minutes. read more

I'm an amazon delivery driver; and I'm so mad because I got yelled and humiliated by this woman at the front desk, there were about 4 people( customers) and a one of her co- workers who was the one who helped me after, simply because I asked a question about Where to leave the packages. Good service, (mostly) easy parking, and the ladies who work here are really nice. I was apprehensive about going to this post officer after reading the many negative reviews. I went there on Black Friday and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. There were two available parking spaces so access was easy. The lady that waited on me was very helpful, kind and smiled and laughed with me. I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I know Christmas is a very busy time of year, but it was crazy in there! Most of all it was unsafe. People were not socially distanced (mostly because it's such a small space you can't be). I had to ask some people to put on their mask a few times. No one was monitoring who could come in and out of the PO to avoid overcrowding. You could not get to boxes and labels until the very end of the line. Why not hand boxes and labels out why people are waiting in line for an hour? And only one person was working the counter which meant people were just waiting in line longer increasing the risk of Covid spread. These are easy fixes and need to be implemented during such a busy season! read more

I've had a POBox for 40 years. In Seattle, Shoreline, Edmonds, and recently for 4 days in Lynnwood. While post offices are their own entity with their own personalities. I have to admit that the old facility was far more convenient, spacious, etc. But I have no complaint about the employees. They are always friendly with me ... (you get what you give). They have been knowledgeable about questions I've asked. I'm amazed at all of the negative reviews. Maybe people are busy and in a rush so they don't have patience with little glitches. I love living in Edmonds and the new post office, though way too small, is adequate. I walk in and notice the sign that says something like, "you spoke and we listened and made changes". Apparently no one spoke about waiting while no one was behind counter. I ring the bell that's there and continue to wait. An employee walks in from outside and asks if I have been waited on. I say "no" and she points to the bell. I let her know I already rang the bell. She goes in the back and I continue to wait some more. Then a very rude woman comes out and tells me to just put my package down. It had a prepaid label but I wasn't comfortable just walking in and dropping on counter. I asked if label was okay and she repeats, "put it down". I recently moved. I told the post office, and they have been dutifully putting new address stickers on my mail and I have been getting them. I ordered something from Amazon. I made one mistake: I updated my billing address but not my shipping address. When I discovered my error, it was too late, the package had been shipped. The USPS has a tracking system. Whenever a package goes through a point in the USPS, a scanner scans it and makes a note of where and when the package was seen. I followed the package to a major post office in Kent, WA. Then it arrived at my old post office in a few hours. Then delivery was interrupted. Then the package arrived at the Bitter Lake post office at 5:21 in the morning October 30th. October 31st, I called them. They said the package had been delivered. It had not. They said the carrier distinctly remembered delivering a package to my house. I described the package to them, and they admitted that that was not the package he delivered. They said they would look for it. I called on November 1st. They said that they hadn't found it. It must have been returned to Amazon. I asked them why it hadn't been scanned when it left. They said they had been busy. I pointed out to them that since return to sender was very unusual, the customer probably would want to know that. You do stamp those things return to sender, don't you? He said that it may have gone back to the original post office. So I called them, and they said that would not happen, it would go back to the same post office in Kent that the package came from originally. So I called the Bitter Lake post office again, and they assured me that the package had been returned to the sender. I asked them if that was unusual because you've been delivering my other mail. Saturday afternoon, I got an E-mail message from the USPS that package had been delivered to the front door of my house. I came home, and sure enough, it had. What really angers me more than anything else is the advertising they played while I was on hold. "You can depend on the post office to get your packages delivered". Unfortunately, since I live where I live, I am stuck with this post office. read more

I visit this post office every day as I have a box there. I love the staff, who go out of their way to be helpful. It can be a bit of a wait as there are only two stations for the staff to assist customers, but the staff and many of the customers are pleasant and patient. I've never had a mail mishap in the more than fifteen years I've been a customer. read more

Terrible customer service! Every time I go to this location, someone is either rude or unwilling to help. When shipping or mailing items or letters, it is often an educational experience as every situation is different and there are many different ways to ship items. Only ONE staff member has ever been nice to us and willing to help us find the best shipping solution. He has even taped packages for us that were not taped correctly (by me). Well today was the last time I ever go there as the short blonde lady ( in short and blonde myself so it's just a description) was SO rude! I came in with a Manila bubble envelope that had a small very thin catalog inside of it to send to a friend. It was a reusable envelope but the corner of the seal was not sticking. I asked if she could tape the small corner shut for me so it doesn't tear in shipment. She replied with "no, I don't have tape." WHAT? You are a SHIPPING store! I then asked what she suggest I do...she then replied with "I don't know, bring it back with tape on it." I was SPEECHLESS! I have seen her talk to other customers like this as well and it is not okay! She has been there for awhile too. I drive up the road to the UPS store where the staff is always friendly. The guy gladly taped the entire strip of my envelope for FREE! Plus he printed me a new shipping label to cover the old one ( because I was reusing it).
