For the passport WALK IN HRS CLEARLY states in the website 11am-Noon but when you get there you cannot actually walk in you have to come at 8AM to sign up for it then come back later that is the most inconvenient thing I have ever heard. They will make you wait 45 minutes in line and then when you say your vision impaired and need help filling the packet out to send it in the mail which should take one to three minutes max they say oh I need to ask for a supervisor and then they make you wait in line for 45 more minutes only to send you around to some weird door that has half a table on it Where you're forced to just hold all your documents you're trying to send instead of them just being professional and helping you at the counter, this place is the worst place. There is a self-service kiosk at this location, so you do not have to visit the counter to mail items. There are several priority and express mail stations to acquire supplies. No ADA access for disabled, no handicap parking, very steep parking spots I could not use or walk up to building, no ADA hold open on the door, I had to just go home not able to do my postal business here. The best part about this post office is the easy parking! We parked right up front and made our way in for a quick visit...then stood in line for...ever. Only two employees working diligently, helping a long row of customers with no back-up or assistance on this busy morning. Other employees walked by casually, making chit-chat, drinking their beverages and ambling away seemingly without a care in the world. To us, those waiting in line, it seems that the staffing could be improved, especially at peak times (or all the time). read more

This place is absolutely horrendous. The employees are extremely rude, and they also don't follow proper covid guidelines. I would think this is something they would care about, as a government entity who should advocate for public safety, but apparently not. Additionally, I have had the worst encounters with some of the employees here, enough to make me avoid this location altogether. One older white gentleman that works here has a volatile temper. He has lashed out at me and I've seen him losing his cool and acting in very unprofessional ways with other customers as well. One day i apparently used the wrong address label on a package and he actually left his podium to continue yelling at me in the lobby about it. I didnt say one word, i was in complete and total shock and left to go to a different post office. I was very shook up by his erratic behavior. This post office also has an automatic postage machine in the lobby but it has been inoperable for over a month. This makes the lines very long and slow...several times I've been by and had lines flowing out the door and down the sidewalk. No sense of urgency whatsoever, the employees seem to be slow as snails in molasses. Hours used to be good here so that you could check your PO box in off hours or mail something at the postage kiosk, but now they close early every single day. Pointless to have a PO box here since the lobby is always locked at night and you cant access it. In summary, avoid this place at all costs. read more

This location is very convenient; within walking distance of my home, but wow, their customer service is sorely lacking. I came in about a week and a half ago to drop off a postage-paid package and I didn't see anyone at the side counter. They used to have people working on the side where you could just do quick errands. Unfortunately I had to stand in a ridiculously long line. There were two people working initially but then one guy finished with his customer and left, leaving this poor female employee to handle everyone in line (about 15 people). After some time the guy came back and I was able to drop off the package, but wow... Just ridiculous. Even the grocery store will open another lane when there are that many people standing in line. I doubt very much this will happen but I hope that the post office has enough sense to hire extra workers for the holidays because it's only going to get worse. read more

I've been to this post office a few times & the clerks have all been polite & knew what they were doing. The lobby needs some forms for after hours but they may not have them out there due to some sketchy apartments nearby. Be careful coming here at night as there have been people hanging out in the parking lot. Only one way in and out and it's not marked as such so pointing that out. I went here today to send my package. The lady who helped me was really helpful and nice. However the worker next to her yelled at the other customer. The worker didn't help the customer, he just kept yelling louder and saying yes or no. The customer was explaining what was going on and what he wanted the worker to check. but the worker was yelling at him saying "I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOUR ENGLISH!!!". This is the best post office I have been to in Washington. Even after I moved out of Lynnwood, I still come here when I'm nearby. If you're genuinely pleasant and respectful with the workers here, they will be nice to you as they have been to me. They have a good selection of shipping supplies since they're a bigger P.O. The line can get long if you come in the late afternoon or on a Saturday, but it moves quickly and you will be out before you know it! I try to avoid the line by coming either slightly before lunch or in the early morning... just a tip. :) read more

Nobody comes into a post office expecting any kind of speed, nor a homey environment. You just hope you can get your stuff where it's going, and the stuff that's coming to you, gets to you. If they can deliver on that, they have done their job. And this place more or less does the job; they've been my neighborhood post office for 8 years and I have no complaints with getting my mail. But as the years go by and some of the more on-the-ball people behind the desk have gone on to greener pastures, the in-house service here has declined severely. They still have some nice people behind the desk, but it seems like every time I have to come in here for something the last 6-12 months, it's gotten slower and slower and slower. Yesterday I came in with about 5 people ahead of me in line. 4 working behind the counter. I got in the express line because I just had one item--a form to pick up a waiting package. This took over 20 minutes, because dude at the express counter couldn't decide whether to bark at me to stand in another line, giggle with co-workers over who got to help the lady in front of me, or finally help me, anyway, after giving me a weird, condescending explanation of why I had to wait in two lines before ending up at the place I was originally. So he did all of those things. It's not like I expect to zoom in and out of a post office. But the delays don't always feel like people trying to dig their way out of a huge workload as fast as they can. There are times when it seems like the extra delays are more a by-product of the small-minded bureaucrats trying to exert some measure of control over their environment. read more

Apparantly towns can have long drawn out battles with the post office on where to put their mailboxes...still going on since December. There's also this old Asian man that works the express line who ALWAYS talks down to you. He does it to me and everyone I see him interact with. I stopped here today to mail a package on the way home from the store. I waited so long that now I have to go back to the store and buy more milk because it spoiled. This place is ridiculous. Peak hour, and there is only one person at the counter. The line was out the door, and she still didn't call for more help. It would be almost acceptable if she at least offered an apology for the wait, but instead acted like I should be the one apologizing for taking up her time. It's not their fault, what can they do? Do the clerks choose how many clerks work the counter? No, that's ludicrous. Why don't they ask for help? Well, because they know there is none to be had. You do understand you're all on camera, right? You do understand that the 'boss' is staring at you while you stew in line and take out your anger on the one helping you, right? Not that managements cares, the point is, they know how many people are in line and they're (management) doing nothing about it, all while you take your anger out on the clerks. If you want to complain about wait times, complain to management, but realize nothing will change and management will take out your anger on the employee who was only trying to help you. Sad how so many here on yelp take out their anger (at what is a management issue) on the staff who have no power to change staffing levels, when their breaks are and how slow or fast customers take and computer programs work. Postal workers work in a boot camp like atmosphere. Everything they do is regimented and timed. If it's their break and they don't take it they can be fired, but why should you care, you want your package mailed and anyway, the world does revolve around you. Having said that. The main problem with the Lynnwood post office, the reason everyone is cranky and ridiculously busy is because, SHOCK, it's 10 sizes too small for Lynnwood. When was this postage stamp built? 1955? Earlier? Probably. Lynnwood is magnitudes larger now and they deserve a post office that fits the community needs. This place is a wee little bad joke on a monumental scale. I live in Northcreek, just south of Mill Creek, a community 10 times smaller than Lynnwood and our post office is 3 times as large. I work in Lynnwood, in fact, I used to work right around the corner from this little building from hell and during Christmas... once, I made the nightmarish mistake of going there to mail my packages. OH. MY. GAWD. It was like a scene from the twilight zone. Thirty, maybe forty people in line, three workers and 37,000 (only a slight exaggeration!) packages to mail.
