Friendly service at a post office? It's true. Plus bountiful parking next door next to the Wienerschnitzel. Does anyone else remember when it was Der Weinerschnitzel? I had a German boyfriend in high school and his mom was always complaining that technically it should be Das Weinerschnitzel. Maybe they finally listened to her. :) Anyhoo, lots of parking, friendly staff. I needed to buy Forever stamps for my Dad and the guy at the counter showed me every type that was available. It was so nice. I decided on these sciencey ones since my Dad was a retired chemistry teacher. Great experience, no line.

It's slow service but they are friendly and helpful. Even for Xmas they are low staffEs but still friendly and helpful. This particular YSPS is the only one that's open around here on Saturday's now. The one nearby only Fountain used to open Saturday's but doesn't any longer (the Saturday staFf ladies th re were rude anyways).

This post office looks like a tornado went through it. Supplies (like free priority boxes and tags) are often missing in the displays and people leave lots of stuff on the tables and such. There is hardly more than one employee actually working the counter. Usually there is a line and when you get up there, you have to push to get a better shipping price over the more expensive priority options. I've heard that there are self serve kiosks at some of the newer post offices. This branch could benefit from that. I will need to find a better post office to use until they upgrade this one, it's close but not convenient.

Celia told me that if I repacked it in a free Priority Express box, the cost would be around $25.

My experience here this morning was brilliant! I needed notary services, scanning of the notarized…read moredocument, having the scan emailed for my records and a physical copy. The document itself was legal sized and thereby impossible for me to scan or print on my home printer -- and so easily accomplished here. And ... for a very low cost. Avish shepherded me kindly through the steps I needed to follow, but of course, he did all the work. Thank you so much for making this so very easy!

I can see them in the drawer -- hundreds, by my count, stacked like a monument to convenience. I was rationed three. Three pouches for ten boxes. The math does not work, and neither, apparently, does the logic. No explanation was offered. No alternative was suggested. I was simply sent on my way with a third of what I needed and a full measure of bewilderment, left to wonder whether the pouches were being saved for some more deserving customer, or perhaps for a museum exhibit on Things That Were Right There. So I did what any reasonable person would do: I drove to a another UPS Store on San Pablo, where a staff member handed over the pouches without ceremony, drama, or apparent fear of depleting the national reserve. My boxes shipped. The crisis, such as it was, resolved itself the moment I left this location. I don't ask for much from a shipping store. I ask that it let me ship things. This one couldn't clear that bar -- not for lack of supplies, but for lack of willingness to part with them. Go down the road. They have pouches too, and they'll actually give them to you.
